This is a really good point! I can not say I run whitewater so I am not an expert. I am going to pin this comment to the top of the page so people see it!
@@andreas956 I use one mounted on a pole for 3rd person shots or on your helmet in superview ia the best for 1st person. Check my channel for how they look
The most common way is with a helmet mount. Chest mounts, dogleg stern mounts and bow mounts are also sometimes used, but 90% of your average joe whitewater paddlers just go with the helmet mount.
All sorts of action this summer. Floats trips, hiking/camping trips. My GoPro goes everywhere with me everywhere I go! Thanks for all the videos you do! They are very helpful indeed! Stay active out there!
Kyle Martin Tech "GoPro Tips and Tricks" yessir! Thanks!! I have a relic summer planned indeed! Can’t come fast enough. I’ll be posting as much as I can.
Thanks man! Glad you are watching! You seem to be one of the few. It is amazing how the audience slips when you stop making videos for a few months (years)
I kayak I have a zander Cambridge kayak the fishing one although I don't fish I use the inside rod holder and made a pvc pole bolted that my go pro sits on. The edging rod holders I use to have a little lamp to be seen at night. All tied down incase anything falls into the drink. From cornwall uk. Love you video. You've gave me a few other ideas thanks 🎉 🌊🚣🌊⛵️🌊🛶
I am looking for a go pro mount to take with me for kayak surfing. The suction cup mount isn't strong enough for the waves, the mouth mount is kinda a nightmare for heavy breathing or shouting for safety. I want to be able to capture other surfers cleanly (without my own kayak in frame) as well as capture myself so the chest mount isn't great. A rod holder isn't the best mount because I mostly paddle rentals and the surfing kayaks don't have rod holders on them. So the main mount I am thinking about is the head mount but no idea how jerky the head mount is while surfing or how secure it is when wiping out super hard. Keep in mind I will be surfing 10-20ft face waves.
