Hey Gus, I wanted to make sure you know that cold steel esparta knife has a "pocket catch(?)" so you can draw it from your pocket and it will open in one motion. The cold steel knives with that unique looking elevated and recessed thumb catch can be worn clipped in the pants pocket so that the spine of the *blade* is facing to your rear. In this orientation when you draw the knife from your pocket drag the spine into your pants and pull the knife backwards and up. You'll feel that thumb catch catch your pocket and snap the blade open like it's coming out of a sheath!! Try it slow, it's incredibly satisfying.
I have that CRKT which opens sideways! I just like the look of it. I really want a Fulcrum which has the same motion as that first knife--sliding the scales past each other, but a more exaggerated motion so the look of it while opening is really neat.
lol I own/ have owned almost all of these 🤣 surprised you don't have an otf included in this collection haha. I've owned a lot of really cool knives over the years, but nothing has been able to take top spot from my microtech's. My custom Bali's come close, but as far as being both cool AND practical... otf all day. You look great by the way Gus, I haven't watched a dive talk video in a couple years and it took a minute to recognize you!
I've been collecting knives for quite a while myself. I just recently picked up a microtech MSI and My third Spyderco paramilitary 2 this one in magnacut
Love Magnacut…planning to make my grail knife with Magnacut and will record the whole process. Last year I made 12 knives, this year I think I’m just going to focus on this “grail” and make it perfect
