I had lasik back in 2002 and since then my vision has degraded. I was recently told I cannot get it again. I asked about having lens replaced and was told because of lasik it wouldn’t be a 100% correction

He lied... i o l , is the way to go HE LIED
Man, I am 25, left eye -8, right eye -10, and mild astigmatism. I will be booking an appointment to see if I am a candidate for LASIK, but based on the information I've read probably not. Do you have any videos about ICL, or do you reccomend it? I would rather use contact lenses and glasses instead of risking it if I am not a good candidate... Great video, thank you!
Neal, would you be willing to talk about the risks of compresses and massages? It helps gland dysfunction significantly, but there seems to be risks of keratoconus and warping? Thank you for all your content.
Hi! I actually talk about it in the first 2 videos of this playlist: Warm Compress And Eyelid Massage Guide: ru-vid.com/group/PLX4frc_itP3XYjw1zbPKb4Jy-XpJAXUUE I go over the best and safest ways to do warm compresses and lid massages.
I know a lot of people that had some good results, but they were always people who had a much milder correction than I'd need. The possible side effects always scared me a little, so I never seriously considered it. How would it affect someone who needs cataract surgery later in life?
Good question! Luckily they will still be able to get Cataract surgery when needed. It could possibly affect the overall results of the cataract surgery though.
I just stumbled upon your channel while doing research I have Keratoconus and had a cornea transplant I’m interested in going back to contacts and I’m so happy that I know that there are other options and not just the hard uncomfortable ones! I am going to talk to my doctor about scleral contacts!
I had LASIK in 2002 wish to god I had never had it done. I had worn glasses from aged 9 and just wanted to be glasses free. I was 40 with an astigmatism. Dry eye was never mentioned nor my age. Thinking back I was under a contact lens Dr as I was having dry eye problems following pregnancy . 6 years after surgery my eyes changed and I was back wearing glasses full time. A couple of years later I developed large floaters that affected the vision in my left eye and ended up having a vitrectomy then my right eye did the same the floaters were so bad like clumps so had another vitrectomy month later sufferred a full retinal detachment which required further surgery. Ended up having very dry eyes to the point now I am constantly being seen by eye hospital. They are so uncomfortable and hurt and affect my vision. Debilitating symptoms that now affect my day to day living. I really wish I had never had LASIK but unfortunately can't go back. It was fairly new 20 years ago and I feel I was not given all the information you have now provided. So anyone considering it DON'T there are some lovely glasses out there today for my vanity I have paid the ultimate price which can now not be corrected and every couple of hours I have to use eye drops. Your eyes are precious remember that
Is it possible to reverse dry eyes using the techniques you describe in your other videos? I scored a 5 on the schirmer's test. I am considering lasik, should I reconsider? I am 40 and wear contact. I have been having terrible time lately with them and reading on a phone or computer. I was told its probably Presbyopia, but i am wondering if its dry eyes after hearing your videos. Wish I could find an eye doctor like you. Thank you
I am 18 and in college with many classes and assignments online. I am also a gamer, because of this I am having constant eye strain and am very worried about increasing myopia. Avoiding screens isn’t really an option for me due to classes but would you have any tips or suggestions on issues like this? I try reading books instead of gaming but that also seems to strain my eyes
I would definitely still and try and take at lease a 20 second break every 20 minutes. You can also look into computer glasses that have a slight near power to help with eye strain. You eye doc could help you out getting the right power.
Do the risks involved with the surgery are also dependent of the diopters of nearsightedness? I have a -2.0, which pretty low but high enough to need glasses while driving or some other activities. Would you recommend it?
Kind of depressing to hear your eyes are supposed to stop getting worse at 24 years old. I am about 30 years past 24 and my eyes never have stopped getting worse. I don't think I would be a candidate for this.
