Man you hit the head on the nail on the head in this video. Wife knew she wanted a Luxury large SUV but wanted something unique, nimble, and RELIABLE. We looked at the Escalade, Denali, Range Rover, and SQ8. They were all nice but I just didn’t trust GM to last and both vehicles felt too big. Audi had high quality and performance but felt too smallish imo. RR was gorgeous and felt amazing but the reliability reviews were just bad and even with a warranty time is money. Owning a rare vehicle like the LX and it being hand built in Japan was a main focal point of why we choose this vehicle and she absolutely loves it.
I'm Japanese, so may be biased lol, but our culture is a culture of hard work, pride in what we do, discipline, and work ethic! There are no better vehicles than ours, anywhere lol☺️ I have KO2s on my 4Runner and my FJ lol. I'll never switch!
Your Lexus looks great with those wheels. Every single Lexus I’ve owned is top notch. Quiet, reliable, comfortable. Well worth the money. And any servicing or repairs aren’t outrageously priced because it’s Toyota. A big reason I get Lexus is they’re safe. When I’m in my Lexus I know my loved ones are safe in the vehicle. They also have great resale value. I picked up an IS 350 AWD f sport. It’s a blast to drive. I’ll drive it a year or two and unload it for not much less than what I paid for it.
I couldn’t agree more about the build quality coming from Japan! There’s nothing like it. No creaks and gaps in the body panels. Paint is smooth and no overspray. Excellent vehicle you now own! I wish I would have purchased a new land cruiser in 2020 when they were $80k. Is the new Land Cruiser built in Japan? What are your thoughts on it from what you have seen so far? And is it possible to compare your gorgeous LX 600 F-Sport to the 2024 Land Cruiser? Thanks!
Thanks Elizabeth, I’m super happy to own this. The new 2024 Land Cruiser is to be built in Japan. Which is why there’s speculation that they’ll move the 6th gen 4Runner production elsewhere (to US or Canada)… so they can make room for the new Land Cruiser and GX. I can absolutely do a comparison between my LX and the new Land Cruiser. Thanks for the idea!
Your LX looks hard. Especially with those wheels! Sick set up bro. It looks hard but not a wow factor. Just nice and elegant, compared to porsche cayenne turbo GT now that GT is a statement. get the Porsche better
Bought my LX600 18 months ago. Paint quality and drivetrain are 2 that would make my top 5. Have a GX550 Overtrail+ on order, it will have to be extremely good to replace the LX.
How’s it going brother? I’m glad you finally got the Lexus experience that I used to always talk to you about as opposed to TOYOTA but you were dead said against going against TOYOTA for many years and that’s OK. I’m glad that you finally had the Lexus true experience the one thing I would’ve done if I would’ve purchased your vehicle is I would’ve got the appearance package with the 18 inch rims then you would’ve had no problem I would’ve never bought it with 22 inch rims a vehicle like that… on my 2021, LX 570 I have the 21 inch rims that I use for the highway and for street roads but I will use the 20 inch rims if I’m going to go off-road and in some cases I use 18 inch rims anyway it’s a gorgeous vehicle. Good luck with it until next time my brother Happy Halloween❤
I just bought a 2024 TRD Pro Sequoia and even though it's assembled here is the US, the build quality is so much better than my RAM and Ford trucks I own.
The new wheels and tires make all the difference, good looking stance. The 24 Tacoma models are slow in coming, I think OR and Sport to be available by year end,Trail Hunter and Pro next spring. Like to see you get your hands on one for a detailed on road review.
Man well done! The wheel/tire setup came out perfect! Side note, I cancelled my Escalade order and am now going with a 2024 TRD Pro Seqouia. The engine failures and other issues GM is having now scared me away from them. Back to good old Toyota reliability. I was just watching your old videos of when you had yours.
Smart move. I just bought a 21 suburban RST. CPO with 40k miles. I’m in CA and flew to OK to buy it. I wanted to drive it home but only made it half way. My engine blew only 6 hours into my journey. This was over a month and a half ago. My car is still stuck at a Chevy dealership in NM waiting on parts to be fixed. Luckily it’s all certified work and it’s covered. However, it’s been an absolute nightmare so far and I regret buying the damn thing.
@@SLP743damn man. I’m sorry you have to go through this. Your story is exactly what I have been hearing about GM products. I had horrible experience with Dodge and I’m not looking to experience that nightmare again. American cars are too hit or miss for me. Japanese have never let me down.
That new Lexus is sick but the heritage edition was really cool too. I’ve seen a couple of those Lexus around here in oregon but only one heritage and it was so cool. The new car does look more luxurious though
I have a new lx (just got it yesterday) and a GX 460. Traded in a 2021 Escalade. While I loved the Escalade, now I have peace of mind. We will keep these two cars, because we CAN. If you spend this much on a car, it has to be a good one or you are throwing away money, in my opinion. Lost 40k on the Escalade in 3 years, including the 10k over sticker, we stupidly paid. Ultimately, the Escalade esv was too big for a daily driver, and I wanted a similarly large vehicle, but a reliable one. The LX is it, period, in my informed opinion.
This is the video I have been looking for! Trying to decide which way to go on our next SUV. Was torn between Denali Ultimate and Escalade, but not totally convinced on either. Have been looking hard at LX 600…absolutely love it! Thanks for the honest feedback. By the way love the aftermarket wheels/tires…what are the specs? Thanks!
Hey brother! Glad this video helped! Appreciate you tuning it. =] The Lexus is without a doubt a better built vehicle. But the Cadillac and Denali offer a bit more space which can go a long way if you have a family. It’s a tough call… the wheels are 20x9.5 Vossen hf64 +15 offset wrapped in BFGoodrich KO2 tires. 265/60r20
I like the exterior look of the Toyota LC300 over the LX600. I wish they did not discontinue the Land Cruiser's flagship model for the U.S. market. I believe the LC300 has the hydraulic steering and thus the turning circle is much smaller compared to the LX600. I do not like the two screen setup in the LX600, but despite all the negatives I have just listed, the LX600 is in my opinion the best Luxury SUV in the U.S.
The worst part is that the new GX is going to make the LX irrelevant. I don’t see the LX lasting another generation in the US sadly. We really are never getting another flagship land cruiser ever again….
@@faheemabbas3965 I do not know if that would be the case since Lexus sells all of the LXs that are coming here. I am personally puzzled why people are buying Yukon's/Suburbans/Tahoes/Escalades when they can buy the LX (except if they truly need the extended models that only GM and/or Ford offers) since they cost as much as or if not more than the Lexus LX models. The GX is a fantastic vehicle if you want to have a good off-roader. The LX is probably more suited for overlanding than off roading in my opinion, but I do not know who is that crazy to off-road with a vehicle that costs more than $100k. I think Toyota should bring the LC300 and offer it with cloth seats and just off-road options like locking diff and sell it low $50k, but that is not happening.
I am not worried about the LXs sales numbers. They will sale as many as they crank out of the factory. I hear crazy stories how difficult is to find an LX or LC(overseas). While the new GX is bigger than the outgoing one, it will never be the flagship substitute. You are a lucky one for having the LX600. It is the only vehicle that I do not find pretty, but I want it. It is strange, but sometimes the beauty is in the details.
Thoughts on the Mark Levinson system??? I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the "Premium" JBL system in my '23 Tacoma but have heard great things about the ML.
@@UntamedMotorsHave you encountered the problem of the sound system lowering its bass automatically after increasing. The sound beyond 40? Many people have experienced that. Even in the. Forums some people were complaining? On a side note I advice you to listen to the lexus lx570 sound system. Even superior to the lx600 . It was in the top 5 best sound system ever fitted ina car. Bass is soo much you wont be even able to comprehend. Best ever that lexus made.
Hah yeah that definitely should have been in my 5 too… just used to talking about that all the time that it just feels like a given at this point haha.
I’m not positive as to what the GX550 is… I know my LX is 21.1 gallons. I’d assume the GX is either the same or a little less, perhaps 18 gallons. 🤷♂️ Sorry I don’t have a great answer on the top of my head.
