The main focus of this video will the R/T badge on that first car. Lol. But honestly, coming from someone who had a 3.6 at one point, there isn't much you can do to make them sound good. They have a very high pitched sound that just won't get deeper. A lot of the time people want it to sound like a V8 and it just isn't going to happen. You can make it sound like a more aggressive V6 though.
Agreed iv got a v6 mainly for the AWD capabilities lots of snow where I'm at I want to just drop the mid muffler I'm not out here trying to make my V6 sound like a V8 haha
@@BoostedVibes89 these are bad examples of how to make a v6 loud and sound good. Mine sounds good so there’s no problem. Louder doesn’t mean faster. I just like the noise while saving on gas
@@BoostedVibes89 nun wrong with making it louder people with v8 do things to their vehicle to make them louder but at the end of the day its your car no one else is gonna pay that car insurance/car note but you so to me idc what a person does to their car what is me having a negative opinion gonna do😂
Upgraded from the v6 to a v8.. I love all trims but the power and sound is unmatched in my opinion. I left my v6 exhaust stock, sometimes silence is bliss.
The V6s don't sound that great when you rev it but when accelerating, then that's when it sounds good. As someone who owns a V6 Charger, I never find the revs to sound good but putting my foot to the floor always does.
I have a 2021 Charger GT throw some flowmaster super 10s where the mid mufflers are and delete the rear resonators and throw some 5 inch tips on there and it will sound awesome!!!
I like the deeper, lower-pitched sound of the Flowmaster FX. It's all about the bass, 'bout the base, 'bout the bass. I don't care as much for the others as most of the additional decibels seem to be higher in pitch.
its hard to make a v6 sound good, but its easy to make them loud. Never remove a resonator from a v6 exhaust unless you have some sort of resonated pipe to go in its place or have some sort of small-medium size rear mufflers to clean up the sound. but If the rear mufflers are too big or muffle too much it will sound tinny/rattley
I had the v6 challenger and started to cry every time I fired it up. traded it for a 2018 shaker with scat pack sawed off the resonators, now im smiling!
They're worse in person. I had a friend who had a straight piped Challenger. It was loud as shit and droned REALLY bad. The best advice is just not to do it. You can get away with no res, but the 3.6 needs some kind of muffler.
Tbh. I like to call the Middle ones Mufflers and the Rear ones Resonators. Just because M for Middle R for Rear. Mid Muffler Rear Resonator just sounds like it for me.
The Pentastar is no slosh horsepower wise but the sound is less to be desired. You do have options when it come to sound but it won't sound like a V8 but a nice sounding V6. Don't worry about loud but tone instead. Solo Performance Performance has the best sounding catback for these. Flowmaster's FlowFX sound good on these too. Throw on a RIPP supercharger and you would shock some RTs at the track.
@@BigBootySeeker2 Plenty of those supercharged V6s eating Scatpacks lunches too. It is how you set it up. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zd-9sagGzcA.html
When a person comments and calls everyone "rookie" with no content on their channels to back their bs then you know they are troll. Remember everybody, do not feed the trolls and act like they are competent because they are not. If anything troll validates you when they come on to try and stir the pot. In my case they make a bunch of troll channels only to prove my point. Like I say to the haters before, thank you for everything. You proved my point again and again and again and again and again........ See you next video. 😀😀😀
The #2 sounded the worst, #1 the best even though #2 used Bullets. Why? The x-pipe, makes it sound so much better. The #1 was a little quieter than #2 even without any mufflers or resonators, a lot more toned sound. Proves how no crossover sounds like a truckstop restroom.
@@srthadyn I’m in it.. YOUNGIN I drive a Benz that most definitely cook that charger. I see you looked at my channel before you made that weak ass comment. Just because I post GTA videos (well over a year ago), don’t think I do not drive. You do know posting your vehicle when you know you do shit in ya car, is how dummies get caught right??? 😒.
You know the guy on the first car is embarrassed of what he drives if he puts a rt sticker on his v6 lol, also the only way to make these sound good is to true dual them and add some good quality mufflers in the middle while having the back straight piped
Exactly. Flowmaster in the middle straight pipe the rest and true dual! That's how guys used to set up their v6 mustangs 10 years ago with the 3.8 l motor. It sounded not bad at all almost like a gt but less rumble. Except when they pulled up to a gt then they get exposed 🤣
@@Linkzbtw not all v6 are the same. What we just said is the only way not to be ricey. Even then. You lose abit of low end torque. But you ain't trying to be the fastest in a v6 anyway so the sound is worth the power loss imo.
@@2024hekyeah yeah I just want the sound speed I could care less, just a decent soothing sound. Would really make me happy. But If I go to a shop idk what to say or what to look for or how much it would cost me
@@Linkzbtw Do a mid delete or rear delete. Flowmaster is the brand most people like and you should get some nice sound. You can keep the stock exhaust which saves you hundreds by just doing a delete and maybe adding tips. Doing a delete (mid or rear) should only be 200$ at max, tips are even cheaper. Straight piping is more expensive but many people complain about the drone and depending on your car, will make it sound like a ricemobile
And it'd sound even better if they left the bottle mufflers in the middle. There's a video on this channel of a white '17 GT with that exact setup and it sounds really good for a V6. Still a touch too loud for me, I'd add some Magnapacks or something in the rear since I like a toned, mild sound for a V6.
If your the owner and your watching this video and reading comments, do your self a favor and take that r/T badge off your just embarrassing your self and the Mopar community.! You gotta be kidding me. SMH
What I did to my SXT was going straight pipe and at the end adding some bigger pipes and it made it loud. What I mean is that I took off all 3 or 2 mufflers and just having pipes
Honestly I have a 2014 dodge charger sxt and I love it but I want to give it the sexy deep growls of a v8, I don’t want it for the flex it’s just I personally love the deep revs, I don’t claim to own a hellcat or v8 but I do wanna own an amazing sound for my amazing car :D
Long tube headers on v6 is the closest mod to get a v6 close to sounding like a v8. However pentastar engine has integrated exhaust manifold. Cant do anything about it.
Let’s see, lighter, more tunable, better gas mileage and cheaper to buy. I’ll take the V-6. I’ve had V-8s as personal vehicles and cop (work) cars and they were definitely fun but so are V-6s, without the maintenance and insurance costs.
I'm all about the exhaust mods but absolutely hate up badging, it's embarrassing, I love my V6- Also saw someone with like a fake hellcat badge but put a rhino instead??
Honestly it’s better if sxt owners save some money for a full exhaust, borla atak is one of the best for this car honestly, sounds really good for being a slow titanic but it sounds better than just removing resonators and mufflers.
not everyone can afford one lol why’s it matter what anyone does to there car you don’t drive it at the end the day and I’m sure there glad they have what they have. Mr snack pack charger 😂
Good God man... the middle unit is called a MUFFLER. The REAR units are called RESONATORS! IMHO, they all sounded like rice burners or some hillbilly junk we used to do to our shit back in the when we were too young and dumb and didn't GAF either lol You want a good exhaust for these cars? Go with Borla Ataks. Done. YMMV
Lmao paid 80$ for a muffler and 100$ for it installed, as well a resonater delete at my local muffler shop. Best 180$ i ever spent cause know i can piss the haters off like yourself🤡.
If the homie is gonna be brave and put that RT badge on, to each his or her own.. all I say is do some extensive research and you’ll find the sound and look you need to come closer to pulling that off.
Crazy story. That guy that owns that 2nd charger was riding my ass when i was in midtown a few weeks ago on vacation. Wish i could've raced em but he'd probably dusted my v6 mopar! 😅
