Listen to a lot of people speaking Mandarin if you want to improve your understanding and pronunciation.... It's slower, but the impact in the long run is much better.
I had to laugh at the shameless plug slap 😂😂😂 But this is all good advice... I'm fortunate to not have a deadline for learning Mandarin, but even those who do should still pace themselves and find the combination of different methods to get the best results.
I think the tones are so subtle for a new learner that it's hard to tell the difference - especially when you're recording so far away from the microphone and we're hearing mostly room echo.
This really wasn’t a good video tbh. I feel like you didn’t really go in depth about how to actually learn mandarin. Especially you over glossing tones which are not easy.
Next one will be more deep and specific. Thank you for your advice. Tones in Mandarin are indeed very difficult, but apart from listening and practicing, there isn't much else we can do. Are you struggling with pronunciations right now? I want to offer you a free half hour session to help you.
