I am so sorry if this comes off as mean, but you have got to stop going up in pitch at the end of every sentence. I am completely unable to listen to this video. It’s beyond distracting and incredibly grating.
@@DavidPatMathis81Don’t watch any MatPat then, lol, he does the upward voice inflection thing waaaay worse. Wily doing it doesn’t bother me at all, but trying to watch any MatPat video is almost impossible at times because it can come off as condescending and also feels like he’s asking you a question every time he finishes a sentence.
One puzzle that was mind-blowing to me was in Phantom Hourglass. After entering a door that can be opened by drawing an hourglass, you found the crest of courage that show the location of the sun key in order to progress. You had to find a way to put it on one of your sea charts. I was really impressed when I randomly discovered I had to close my DS to do that.
Yea I solved it by accident! I couldn't figure out what to do & closed it to take a break. I knew I was looking at my own map, but reflected in some manner...When I opened my DS to try again, it was on the map!
i was trying everything my brain was capable of coming up with. Ended up frustrated and closed my ds. Suddenly the jingle played and i was dumbfounded. This is one puzzle that will stick with me forever
yup, i agree, i would consider that puzzle one of the most insane too, because even though it may appear simple, it completely breaks the fourth wall. Sure, with characters saying "press a button to" and such they're breaking that wall too, but from the game's view, Link can't really do it, he can't press the ds's screens together since he doesn't have the ds. Technically he could press the maps together, but not really? To me that puzzle is for the players, not for Link. :)
A Link Between Worlds is actually the most underrated Zelda game ever. Also, I would have included the Spirit Temple over the Bottom Of The Well. Both require you to do something as a child and an adult, but the Spurit Temple has you do more, and have puzzles in the giant puzzle of going from a child to an adult.
I love the ice block puzzles in Twilight Princess. Especially the ones in the cave at North Hyrule Field. But any block pushing puzzle is fun in my book. I also loved Sky Keep in Skyward Sword. The whole temple was a block sliding game.
You should try the block pushing puzzles in Ittle Dew 1 & 2. They put Zelda's version to shame, as you have to really think about how to slide the blocks (and slice them in half to use for separate switches) I was really stumped on a few of them lol.
Anything Majora's Mask is extra tough because of the time restraint. And THEN you gotta beat the boss before the third day ends. >_< I thought the Kafei side quest would be mentioned on this list, but I like your picks.
You indeed need the Eye of truth to complete Ocarina of Time. While it's possible to memorize the way through the desert, it's impossible on your first playthrough to get to the Spirit temple without it, making the Eye of Truth a non-optional item.
Melkhiordarkblade Yeah i know But that has no correlation with the name of the series as the series got its name at the first instalment (in english, in japan it was a subtitle) This makes no sense as they wouldnt have been thinking of this from the previous game and thought to give a reason for its name in the sequel Not to mention I was referring to why link doesn’t get any recognition in the title yet is the main character, thats the same as not calling a mega man game “Mega Man” because the main character is mega man And Thanks for offering an explanation
For me, the hardest and most frustrating puzzle, was the sacred grove statue puzzle in twilight princess. Because of just how hard it is and the weird placement of the guardians, it took me hours to do when I first played. Obviously easier now, but still!
bro i am a master at ice puzzles and breezing through the temple of droplets was just ao satisfying yeah i managed the twilight princess ice puzzles it was great
Oi! Don't be talking crap about Ezlo! His interactions with Link are hilarious Anyway, cool list! I'm so used to playing these over and over I kind of forget how mind blowing some aspects can be.
@@drwily okay it is irritating in old console but most of the problem is solved in new consoles. It is not near to worst. It is more complex and has more variety than most type of puzzles of game.
Can you find all the CD-I links?! I KNOW I CAN! CAUSE I HID THEM! 2 are hidden! And if you find htem all put their time stamps here. Beachbaki Buddy! can you find yourself? Since You won last time!
Hey! I found the one at 9:15 in the A button. I also found the other after working *very* hard to find it at 2:53 That was more insane that any of the puzzles on the vid xD
@@spiritbaki108 Haha 2:53 Was my favorite to hide since it blends well with the box art :P Lil tricks like that is fun :D Congrats you are in the next vid.
You know that feeling when you invest so much time into a comment and 0% of people see it yeh it's happened to me this video comment sections and now to annoy me I bet a lot of people will like this now
In stone tower temple you don't only flip the temple you literally flip the whole world. I mean you can see the sky below you (if this dark red mass shall be the sky atleast)
I am honestly surprised Oracle of Ages didn't make the list, since the puzzles were the main focus of the game. The seed shooter puzzles in particular I think were done very well.
@@mcihay246 So true. OoA was the first Zelda game I played, and it completely blew my mind for that exact reason - the _entire game_ was like one giant puzzle I was slowly deciphering one piece at a time. It's not remotely the only Zelda game like that, mind you, but it was particularly elegant in that presentation and execution. I got stumped at one part, couldn't tell you where exactly, it was so long ago...but shortly after getting to the Goron Islands in the southeast from what I remember. I was really sick at the time, and literally had fever dreams about my struggle to figure the game out. All I knew was it was unlike any other game I'd ever played. Unlike any other experience I'd ever had, honestly...and I knew there were others. More than that, I knew there were 3D versions, and that OoT was Legendary. I remember thinking "you mean I can play a game like this....but in THREE DEE?!?" Needless to say, OoT was one of the most incredible gaming experiences I ever had, despite already owning an Xbox by then. But again...it all started with Oracle of Ages. I'd love to see it and Seasons get remakes in the style of Link's Awakening. They are under-recognized entries in the series that deserve far more love.
Most insane puzzle, how come a bottle can deflect lightnig balls but a steel hammer cant? How come the Great King of Evil is distracted by a fishing rod?
The song of storms represents one of the many issues with time travel called "bootstrapping", essentially that information/material is created from the act of moving through time. Occurs in quite a few time travel scenarios.
