Good Video and I agree with the list. My Alternatives: Blender's Pride - Oaksmith Gold Vat 69 - Black & White or Dewar's White (slightly more expensive but very good) Jack Daniel's - Jim Beam Proper no. 12? Haven't had it. but Jameson's is pretty good JW Blue - Royal Salute 21
I explored budget whisky's recently , and found All Seasons the best , this whiskey is really great at this price range , if they(the makers) don't change or devalue its taste and composition then this is best and an eye opener to all the consumers and the makers that such a good whiskey is available and can be made in this price range
Totally taken back by surprise! JD and Vat 69 are among most prestigious brands, i dislike them both i thought i was wrong but now my confidence got wings when you too second my thought.
True bro, JW Blue label is like any 4k scotch, i tried but found nothing special in 14k bottle. VAT 69 is like spirit, nothing like scotch. I personally like Jack Daniels and keep its stock.
I agree with your description except the jack denials JD is really a very good product in this price range ! Still I could be wrong as I have only tasted JD 3-4 times and might be influenced by its reputation
I’ll agree with all of your choices except blenders. Yaar woh purana sahara hai ❤❤. But others 100%. I simply love Jim Beam. Is the best sipping whiskey in the monsoon for me.
I'd say BP is overpriced, but not overhyped. It goes well with all kinds of mixers, good to have on the weekends, but a quarter costs Rs. 455 in Karnataka (hence overpriced according to me). Maqintosh could be a better alternative (value for money wise).
Appreciate your honest views. Was constantly looking at the Octamore and Kavalan at the back though and wondering ke MB sahab kab inhein review karenge.
What other brands would you suggest under 1200? I'm a regular BP guy and I always enjoyed the armed forces version rather than the regular liquor shop purchase, since it has less spirit level.
Es mein availability ka issue bhi hai aur logon ko knowlege bhi nahin hai it is a decent whisky but competition is too hard , look at the names black and white, ballentines, william Lawson , red label, black dog, old smuggler, the famous grouse, Scottish leader, 100 piper's 8 years blended malt is also in the competition,
Nice topic Manish bhai 👍needed this as per my view people moving from blenders pride to oaksmith which offering great price and taste in that price segment especially silver how can that possible @860 🤔 so that stocks are not available in Hyderabad 😔
Always been an admirer of your content and so am today. Just the JD part is where I'd differ but then again it's out opinions let's just enjoy our favorites.
Suggestion - It would be great if you could add sections to your video. So that's its easier to navigate to the part or a specific alcohol we want to watch.
Great Statements 👍 At least we should appreciate more our own masterpieces that we create in our Nation and they are more and more. They are by far better as Blended Scotch and even better as many other Scotch Single Malts and Bourbons.
I believe that Red Label and Ballantine's are the most over rated budget scotches. I actually prefer Vat 69 to both of them because of the taste. It is the only budget whiskey I can drink on the rocks. Aur Sir Jee, I feel that Macallan 12 is also quite over rated. Glenlivet and Glenfiddich are both good alternatives for less than half the price. You can actually get the 15 year old expressions of these two for about the same price as a Macallan 12. and Balvenie's, Glenmorangie and Highland park are even better whiskies at slightly lesser price.
NICE MAN... while watching your video.. I was imagining .. over hyped politicians. And crickerts in India... I agree ... even being bourbon fan..I cherish jim bean 100 tines more than JD.... so my dear consumers... marketing par mat jao..rather go with your inclination if taste n choice...
I get the gist of ur video . But I think u should rephrase the title to "whiskeys that should be ditched after drinking for a long time for something new " . For that matter one should always be open for change . Sure someone who promotes these brands will definitely be pissed after watching this.
JD's popularity is because of branding, product placement and the folk lore in country music. Jack almost always means Jack Daniels whiskey. Even the name of Vijay in Master is JD, who consumes lots of JD and tells a story of Jack.😂
JD is not a Bourbon its a Sour Mash so it is different from Jim Beam and other Bourbons and both these are different form Whisky/Whiskey. Bottom line just enjoy your drink. Cheers
All bourbons and american whiskies like JD are whiskies. They are not different from whisky. You mean they are different from Scotch whisky or Irish whisky, but they are still whisky.
Unpopular opinion : Macallan too is somewhat overrated. Whiskies like Balvenie, Longmorn & anCnoc are better in the particular price range. There's too much hype surrounding Macallan. Not saying it's not a good whisky though.
Agreed. In fact this is not an unpopular opinion among whisky enthusiasts. Macallan is becoming too expensive for what it actually is, because it is very heavily marketed as the pinnacle of whisky which is not the case. It's good but there are other whiskies which are just as good and don't cost as much because they have less hype and marketing around them.
@@axoltl1 yeah it's marketed as the rolls royce of whiskies which doesn't really make sense. It may slowly become the pappy van winkle of the scotch industry.
