That jbl is an insane value. An 8 channel dsp alone for $300 is great. And you get the amplifier channels with it. And 6-8 speakers on 50 watts each is more than plenty
Really looking forward to the review of the JBL 8-channel! I've heard it has some issues with a noise floor. Have you tested it out enough to know if that's accurate?
Super low cost budget option is the little Soundstream Picasso Nano 640.5 and it can be had for under $200 if you do a little looking. Korean made too. 👍
The Alpine R- A90S should definitely be in this list. It's a full system, 6 channel amp, Hi Fi, and more power than some of the other ones in this list
I would suggest the zapco Z150.6SP this amp is a power house beast and also great for audiophiles like myself also, Arc Audio X2 is a great 6 channel amp and the next amp i want to get soon is the Eton stealth 7.1 with DSP....
Holy crap! That Kenwood 5 channel has got to be the best deal on this list! I've got the xr6006 DSP and I'm MORE than happy with it!! Keep it up HiFi! Hey what's up with the forum? No one checking it anymore because of all the stupid spam?
@@HifiVega ok that sucks! I loved hearing from other members! Hey have you heard of mousetrap? He's a custom box/ panel customizer on RU-vid and he's pretty bad ass!
Sleeping on DD multi channel amps. Check out the D5.1500, and D5.1000. I have a D5.1000 which has 1000w on ch5 and 90/120 ch1-4 @ 4/2 Ohms! It's had clip limiting technology! Its quite the wonder in a very small package
@@drewzx3if you only need 500 watts for a sub , I would choose the kenwood. Cleaner sound for the mains for sure , but a lot less juice for a sub. Less juice for the mains too , but still plenty for most speakers. Just significantly less juice for your sub. I wrote this comment over a year ago , but I’m still running the excelon 5 channel in my Saturn , and also one in my minivan. I love those little amps.
@@drewzx3 in the Saturn it’s a pair of old school eclipse aluminum 12’s , and in the van it’s a single 15 built by Illuminati Sounds using a TC sounds TC9 motor.
Those are great picks! I have the JP95 and it is a beauty. Someone else mentioned the Picasso nano soundstream. I would add in the Rubicon 5 channel. These are more budget amps but I think decent choices. I have the Rubicon's and maybe should amp guts them. No one has really tested them though.
Oh no. Vega forgot the Sony Mobile ES series 5 Channel. I’d like the 8 channel. 2 channels for the tweeters, 2 channels or the midranges, 2 channels for the woofers 2 channels for the subwoofers. All in one unit. I’m just worried about it blowing up doing all that work! Lol
Like to see jp95 in action ....I decided on the jp 23 to replace my skar 1500.1 which still runs flawlessly....but as I have stated I am only running a memphis mini mojo 8in but for an 8in sub it handles some power ...but I want to add 2 more so I think the jp23 will be able to handle the load ...as always great info on some amps I probably would not even look at ...
See if I'm going to be running a multi channel amp I would rather have something like the kicker.. To have that 8x100 would be awesome to run a whole front stage and maybe a little rear fill. Then run a dedicated mono amp for the subs.
you miss best sound amp Audison av 5.1k A-class 2x75, AB-class 150/250/4ohm/2ohm/D class 600/1000/4ohm/2ohm/ all in crossower , hi,low, band pass, also bitone crossover can applied one of best dsp market
The kenwood excelon reference xr901-5 is their best 5 channel amp and that thing is a powerhouse. The excelon x802-5 is a step down for the xr series but it is also a great amp especially for the price being around $350.
Sundown audio 1800.5. Also pioneer 5 channel , Along with 4 channel ,down 4 sound jp234. That all you need for a daily driver nothing crazy but decent 👌
No Helix/ Match/Brax? No Mosconi?, No Audison?..Steg? Audiosystem? Those are all big box/ Crutchfield amps on you list There is another world of quality amps that are not made in China. Mmats has a beautiful 6 channel for around 1100 bucks that is better than any of those Chinese amps you named that is made in the USA by Americans. But I suppose those that I named are only for the serious enthusiast with a bit more to spend.D and F are now doing a Porsche with Brax(German), Focal(French) and Zen(American)...that is the good stuff Vega...Love your channel Brother...but I hate that China has taken over my favorite hobby.I will resist if I can.
I like a lot of those amps, but unfortunately they’re not readily available outside of a brick mortar store. That makes it harder for me to recommend those simply because most of my audience including myself don’t have access to many in store dealers. That and the fact that almost all those brands are well over the price I’d personally buy and I’m this video I am sharing amps that I have interest in.
@@HifiVega Fair enough Brother. Not all can afford what I can. I am not wealthy, but I have few hobbies I am passionate about, but I love car audio. That is NOT made in China.! And I do not shop Wal Mart or Best Buy. I last bought an MTX from Circuit City 25 years ago (Blue Thunder, made in USA) I have not shopped big box since. Great video Vega for young enthusiast that do to know of a better time
to each there own but simple kinda always sounds better in a car . 4 channel a/b and a monoblock with the power to drive the speakers . there are just so much junk out there its hard to find amps without the un neaded gizmos . ya you can get 50x8 amp but why pay for a amp that cant power a 4 inch driver ?
Very wise. I will take a few high quality components any day. In an environment as small as car interior, A pair of high quality component speakers(Micro Precision, Steg, German Maestro), a quality 10" sub( in a sealed enclosure) and the best 4 channel amp you can afford, (Mmats Helix or ARC "CLXR" series, made in USA) will be a great SQ system. The best systems I have ever had , did not have DSP, and you adjusted your settings with a small screwdriver, not a laptop....simple sounds better to me too.But I have no interest in cheap ,Chinese gear...pretty much the whole list.
For the money the Soundstream T5.2500DL will be hard to beat, amazing class A/B sound quality on the 4 channels and class D 1-ohm stable 1000W dynamic sub channel and the built quality is top notch even i was surprized, with Tiffany style gold plated RCA's and metal potentiometers. Also there is the Sundown audio Salt-1700.5 and the Cosmos Audio EP-2000.5 both powerhouses for the not in a budget people.
Since audiocontrol is on the list maybe check out AUDISON AP F8.9 BIT FORZA - TOP 9-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER WITH DSP for around 900 Arc Audio X2 1100.5 for 969 Infinity Kappa FIVE 5 channel
The only thing I don’t like about the AudioControl D-6.1200 is when you you drop the load to 2 ohms, the quality sucks big time, basically this amp is only good for 125 watts rms by 6 channels, otherwise at 2 ohms ohms the sound quality really sucks.
@@HifiVega don’t know on this model how the bass quality sounds at 2 ohms, but on the LC 1.1500 the quality is good at 4 ohms and at 2 ohms. If you are going to play highs on any AudioControl amp, you’re better off at 4 ohms. Ask Dean at 5 star car stereo, he knows.
@@HifiVega I was trying to parallel my front and rear passenger tweeters and my my front and rear driver tweeters to channels 1 and 2 and the same for my mids on 3 and 4, but the quality was not there. I was trying to go active for 2 sets of Flax Focal components, but to get the quality, I need two LC4.800 amps, therefore I went passive, and it sounded much better with the crossovers. I know active is better, but only if I have 8 channels instead of 4 with these amps.
