I’m currently watching on lookout mountain right now and you actually have lots of options on the mountain. Like Mountain market, Masseys (new cafe on the corner), the Starbucks, rock city grille, rock city fudge shop, mountain memories, canopy coffee, the golf club or the fairyland club, and lots more. So come visit! It is very peaceful and just absolutely amazing up here 🤩
If we are going by that rule, what are you doing about the crime rate and growing homeless population in Chattanooga? Do yall pretend Dodds Avenue doesn't exist when you're going to eat Downtown? Do you avoid Rossville Boulevard when taking family or friends to visit a local spot? Everywhere has bad spots, man. Last I checked this was Merica and you can go wherever you want.
Yeah I thought it was odd that he avoided actual parts of the city of Chattanooga, which is where the best neighborhoods actually are. None of the 5 "neighborhoods" mentioned are walkable or bikeable in the slightest, with small parts of Red Bank being the only exception.
@@Way2EasyDIY Yes, none of these listed are neighborhoods. No one living in any of these places will have a Chattanooga address. In my opinion, the best neighborhoods in the city of Chattanooga are North Chattanooga, Southside, Highland Park, East Lake, and (the best, obviously) St Elmo!
@@Alexandra-ek6bb they don’t really say. At a minimum the city and close surrounding area of downtown. I wouldn’t move there anymore. While great in many ways especially for hiking and outdoors, It’s becoming overcrowded and congested.
Median home price in Red Bank at 325K. Holy shite! I remember living in a nice 4-bedroom place on Lamar Avenue in the early 90s and it was going for 60K! Gotta love “quantitative easing,” aka money printing and inflation.
You can't get off lookout mountain in winter have fun with that slip and slide. And the traffic during the Christmas time everyone going to see the lights
Cambridge Square is sorely lacking in retail options. There are only 3 or so shops. There are quite a few restaurants and other offices and salons but not much in the retail department, unfortunately. In fact, I think that one of the things missing in the Chattanooga area is a town center with shops, cafes, galleries to stroll through. Things are more scattered about instead of there being a destination area.
Lookout Mountain is pricey not to mention…it really is a terrible drive up & down with narrow winding two lane mountain roads. It is the place for the few but not for many. The same can be said for Signal Mountain,
They have a Dutch bros?! Sign me up! I had one 5 minutes from my house in Arizona, but since moving back to California I haven’t seen one closer than an hour and a half drive away😢
@its.maja.with.a.j Very fortunate to have Dutch Bros in Salem, Oregon and all surrounding areas!!! My daughter works in Chattanooga, what am I going to do without a Dutch Bros if I move there??? Good news, just researched, and there is a Dutch Brothers in Hixson, TN!!!
I live in Oregon, but my daughter works in Chattanooga. I've been to First Watch, Cheddar's, and Maple Street Biscuit Company all on Gun Barrel Road! We love East Brainard area! I believe Mike's Smokhouse moved over there, they used to be right by Lookout Mountain.
Other than Lookout Mtg, none of these are in Chattanooga proper! They're either cities on the periphery or northern/eastern 'towns' that were never part of original Chattanooga. None are true neighborhoods. Like most cities, historical Chatt. grew to encompass these once separate towns/areas. Lookout Mtg. was only for the rich, and the others only became Chatt when it grew to envelope them - none were true, historical Chatt. They are just high end suburbs. I was born and partially raised in Chatt. TN. Typical real estate salesperson miss-direction.
@@thebestseason5034 This area is very safe and all of the homes are upscale. It's on top of a mountain and has close access to the highway down the mountain. I'd say it would be a great area to invest in. Would be happy to hop on a call and talk more!
Native 'Noogan here. Let's clear up the "See Seven States" question. From the vantage point at Rock City, you can see only Georgia and Tennessee. That's it. I won't get into the math, but to see Kentucky or Virginia, you'd have to be 30,000 + feet above the horizon. Airline pilots at 35,000 feet see the horizon 170 miles away.
We are a So Cal family looking to expand. Curious re your thoughts on Jasper Highlands and River Gorge Ranch. Several friends have bought property there. Were looking to do the same.
@@flynnzero9282 Haha! It's amazing how much we get that. Too late though we're gonna be Tennesseans. We actually got yelled at by some dude at BNA. He seriously thought we were ruining his city. I assured him we are refugees seeking financial, political and refuge in America and not communist crime ridden shit bags. We were friends after that.
@@livinginchattanoogatn we want to live in the country so we can establish our food in retirement. We have small chickens in our city setting but we will be moving VERY soon
Eastdale use to be a good place to live until they tore down the projects and put them people in our community with section 8 and they are all young people can’t sleep at night music is boom boom all night eastdale was a good place to live but not anymore
I've lived in Chattanooga for 50+ years and your info is questionable. In 50 years, I've NEVER heard of Red Bank being in the top 5 areas (which these are areas and not neihhborboods). You might want to so more research before misguiding people who might want to live in our area. I'm not trying to be rude but your information is not accurate.
Chattanooga just ranked 2nd worst managed city in the nation. Here we come Detroit. Crime is horrible downtown and homes are way overpriced. People on the mountain hate you and don't want you to move here
