The plaster technique looks like the mud pies I made after a good rain when I was little. They looked so good the boy down the street even tried to eat it! haha Very cool! The crackle technique with glue is much better than using the crackle stuff you buy in a jar. You can't go over that stuff more than once because it starts crackling right away. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Kim and Garrett - Great video and techniques. I liked the textured idea the best, but the crackle was great too. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg
Love them all. I use spackle over stencils. I've found that applying it and scraping it off...just enough to leave the pattern, works best for me. I did this on canvas...black background with black tinted spackle....it turned out great. I've never used wax to achieve the chippy look but Vaseline and a scraper. Will have to try using a paper towel. You can also use candle wax. I save the last of the unburned wax...it also works really well. Have a great weekend.
I'm dying to find a project for the crackle paint. I have an idea .... but then I changed my mind to do an acrylic paint pour. Also I have receipts and Kim learned the wax method when I tipped her off and then Garrett tried to take credit. It was my first video I produced with K&G and our love for each other has only grown. (Says the stalker here - lol) Very cool video to showcase some of the super cool painting techniques you've shown us in different videos.
