Most downpipes require a tune due to the change in airflow and back pressures so if you’re looking at an aftermarket down-pipe you should be budgeting for corresponding software

@@llnir obviously these cars don’t come with a valves exhaust system but you can get one installed for less than 400$

@H-jb4tf I´m referring to a GTI with 245 hp. I have found out that it can take a Stage 1 tuning without any issues. I´m gona make one this summer. :)

@H-jb4tf price and application, if it’s not a dedicated track car or if it’s a dual purpose daily driver and fun track car the upgraded turbo will be out of price and out of practicality

@H-jb4tf 2 reasons: cost and practicality If it’s a daily driver, which most GTI’s are, then the upgrade to the iS38 turbo isn’t practical or cost efficient; if it’s a track/race car - absolutely it’s a needed upgrade but again you’re spending the money to build a track car that will have a return on that investment
