To be fair mitchkov had similar mhl production but was 1-2 years younger than Demidov. Mitchkov was in the khl and had solid production at age 16

Yeah agreed - he put up monster numbers in the MHL but most of his comparables were already in the big league by his age so it makes him a hard player to evaluate

Massive weakness there for Celebrini could see him slip a few spots because of it

Haha I was was hoping someone would catch that!

I think a bidding war will break out for Naces, which is not to Montreal's advantage. Thus he will not come to Mtl.

Assuming you meant Necas - I agree I doubt Montreal has the pieces to get it done considering Carolina would want some solid roster players back

I’ll cry if Montreal takes Lindstrom. Great player but the last thing we need is another injury prone power forward…

Lindstrom and Dach would be LTIR superstars.

Your nuts, Lindstrom third or second best forward in the draft behind Celebrini and demidov, your smoking crack if you don’t want to take him, in flames I want iggy, but if lindstrom there and they take him I won’t be mad

Lindstrom's injury is of great concern, back surgery at that young of an age... that's a huge risk
@HockeyOutsider
@HockeyOutsider 26 дней назад
Yeah that’s why I could see him slipping if teams medical staffs do have some long term concerns (which is likely with any back injury)

Who said he had back surgery…Lindstrom had surgery on his broken hand, out 4 to 6 weeks…..can you explain..??

As a Habd fan, i wanted Mishkiv last year, but they obviously passedvonnhim. How iscadenidiv different than Mishkov?

If you want your analysis to be taken seriously - get the facts straight. You stated Levshunov hadn't had much exposure to the N.A. play style until he played in the NCAA this past season. The fact is he played the previous season (2022/23) in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers where he played 62 games and scored 42 points and he played another 3 games in the playoffs. Also - have you watched Demidov play this season - especially in the playoffs? If you had you would have seen Demidov's defensive game is not a weakness. The competitive motor you list as a strength is just as much on display when he doesn't have the puck as when he does. The point being that he plays defense with the same relentless motor as he does in the offensive end - you will not find him cherry picking on the blueline waiting for a breakout pass.

Hey Glenn thanks for commenting. For Levshunov the fact still stands that he has had very little time to adapt to the north american ice / playstyle yet has been able to excel in it! As for Demidov - there are several clips that I can send to you, as well as scouting reports that show that he takes shifts off at times in the defensive end, not necessarily due to a lack of competitive motor but more-so because his defensive IQ is hit and miss so he gets lost in the play at times. Not to mention he is leaps and bounds better than his competition so it makes him very hard to evaluate.

The kid comes from Belarus he absolutely hasn’t been playing in N.A long.

@HockeyOutsider Demidov is a forward though. If his defensive IQ it's less important than a DEFENSEMAN with a lack of a defensive IQ and low compete off the puck? Also Demidov is expected to be 6ft+
@HockeyOutsider
@HockeyOutsider 26 дней назад
@@SoftServeCone sure maybe its a little less important- but for a team like your Blackhawks for example who already have some great forward prospects that aren’t necessarily great 2-way players (yet) its an aspect of his game that could shy them away from taking him at #2
