My 2014 kia sorento lx had issue with ac compressor and passenger led light strip out running well now after dealer had fixed the issue I love my car ❤
We have a 2011 with a check engine light on. It's a computer issue I guess. About 1000 bucks to fix. Our backup camera works most of the time sometimes it doesn't.
I don’t know about those things but you forgot the one where you have to eventually replace all your door lock actuator assemblies on all the doors. That was fun
I have a 13 Sorento. 1. No issue with my Ignition Coil Pack 2. A/C Compressor stopped after 110,000 miles. Not bad at all 3. One of the headlight harness kept burning out after 100,000 miles. Even after I replaced the harness, it continued to burn out. Had to replace the actual headlight assembly. 4. Radio still works ... for now. 5. Backup camera still works ... for now I had to replace the engine because it kept burning fuel. Car ran excellent until that time. After engine replacement, everything else started going. @@alienrocketscienceshared8454 Same issue here, though the bulb I replaced will not work at all on low beam. high beam it works just fine, low is not turning on at all.

2012 Sorento and I agree with these problems. My back up camera needs to be replaced. I replaced my ac compressor, and my headlights. Bluetooth acts up on its own. Luckily I have 185,000 miles and have no major issues
Yes to all this AND the damn alarm that goes off for using the key instead of the fob (or just for looking at it wrong) and refuses to shut up and reset without a $300+ replacement. 3X so far and apparently no way to just disengage or remove it (yeah, right).
Mine 2015, loses the refrigerant after 90k miles. First tefill lasted for a month but the second refill lasted only a day. The biggest problem is the engine oil pressure sensor. Mine loses engine oil, and once there was no oil on the dipstick and no low engine oil warning. It was under warranty but mine was turned down to replace the part as normal.

Oh ok I need to replace my coil packs and my refrigerant pump. This video is very informative but....what about the rear doors not opening up from the outside? BTW: The Kia in the video is identical to my Kia, lol.
I replaced my back up camera because I thought that's what was wrong but I still can't see good with the new one and it turns out it's the screen it's fading soon I won't be able to see anything on it...Do you have a home fix for that?
GOT A 2011 SORENTO AND SO FAR HAD TWO OF THESE ISSUES. THE HEADLIGHT BULBS ARE TRASH. MINE KEPT MELTING. I REPLACED THE WIRE HARNESS AND SWITCHED OVER TO CHEAP LED HEADLIGHTS AND HAVE NOT HAD AN ISSUE IN GOING ON 3 YEARS. THE BACK UP CAMERA SEEMS A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE TO FIX.
Mine 2012 2.4 L will pop out of cruise control and pretty much every light is light on the dash but other than that working great, 150k miles. Oh and the gas door sometimes acts up. Paint clear coat is coming off the hood and roof a little. Its in the middle over all id say. Japanese cars hold up a little better but its way less maintenance than a german car. Ive always had good luck with Chevy/Gmc/Cadillac too other than transmissions. That goes for Hondas too. Good engines but crap trannys
Just traded my 2012 Kia Sorento in. Was driving on the highway, heard a pop, the engine began losing power. Mind you a few days before this happen. I put Lucas oil fuel injector cleaner in because it felt like the gas pedal was smushy. Never had an issue before using it. Had good results. So anyway...was doing 80 down the Highway, heard the pop, engine lost power. Motor was shaking so bad, code came up for a cylinder 3 misfire. Changed the plugs and ignition coils. Still couldn't figure it.. same code. Ended up trading it in as is. My guess it was clogged fuel injectors. Any thoughts?
Not an expert but similar situation (car shook and power dropped after decellerating to 0 for a red light down a steep hill). OCV sensor needed replacing. Prior to that, we were putting oil in at least monthly (bad idea) and the week before it happened. Fixed with oil change but now waiting 1000 miles to see if the car is still burning oil still in which they said I will need the chamber combustion (?)cleaned and if it does not work, new engine. I got it back and its driving smoothly at high way speeds. 2014 kia at 89k miles when it happened.
Parents leased a 2015 was complete garbage. Wasn't even 3 yrs old was falling apart bad quality control on interior/ exterior panels cheaply made. Thank God they traded it on a new 2018 Ford Escape lease that SUV was much much better- never an issue with that one
@@n00bprof82 you won't want it. I've had three engine replacement. Catalytic converter replacement "supposedly" Kia likes to take advantage of woman . And now having issues with the car staying on after I turn it off.
I don't know, but i have a Borrego with over 250K on it, and the only real problem i had, is the backup camera, the rest, typical normal wear, like on any other car brands, it has been Bullitt proof reliable.
How about burning oil and Kia dealer wanting to to an oil consumption test at 99,400 miles and telling my wife that it will be past the warranty and not logging it and then when trying to deal with Kia themselves they just fluff it off and 2 1/2 years later the engine blows up on the way to work and won't acknowledge it. It was on a 3.3 liter V6 engine that was in the SX that doesn't have a recall and refurbished engine from a second party being $7200 plus takes (includes labor but not taxes). I bought two Kias in my lifetime, the first one was great until that one was rear ended and then the 2014 which had problems along the way. Other than the blown engine the rest of it is in good mechanical condition and not perfect, but passed inspection without needing anything this year. Kia got their money from me but never again.

I have problems with mine starting sometimes I jiggle the gear shift and it starts my backup camera went out not too long sfter I bought it and it uses oil like crazy no oil on the engine no puddle underneath nothing coming out of exhaust drives me crazy and the oil is extremely black even after it's been changed my driver side window switch just broke constantly had problems with turn signal until I replaced the headlight
On my 2011 the radio is almost never working. It stays totally off and once in a while, specially when the temp outside is really hot, it decides to work. Because of his shape I can't just put any new radio at its place. It's frustrating.
My daughter has a 2012 . The second row seat is stuck in a down position . No one seems to know how to fix it ; saying it’s probably cables inside … it’s not even paid off- she’s only had it two years . She has FIVE children , and we NEED this fixed!!!!! I had the same problem on my 2012 kia sorento ex model 4cyl with the rear right brake light repeatedly blowing even when the assembly was plugged into the left position. The solution was as follows: -Disconnect negative terminal from cars battery -Remove the two phillips head/hexbolt combo fasteners from the afflicted tail light assembly. -Firmly pull to the rear in order to dislodge the light from the mounting position. -Disconnect the assembly at the connector clip -Now on the assembly turn the two environmentally sealed enclosure clips ccw to release and pull straight back exposing the afflicted tail light bulb ( the tail light is clear, blinker bulb is amber colored) -push in Firmly but not forcibly then give each bulb a 1/4 turn ccw to remove the light bulbs from their sockets - now using q-tips (ones from dollar store with plastic handles work best for cleaning parts as they are more ridgid/durable) and 90% isopropyl alcohol clean the 4-pin connector, and the internals of each bulb socket (in each socket there is two springy metal contacts for the bulbs straight down and also a vertical one on the sidewall )using care not to distort or twist any metal contacts for the bulbs. Make sure to clean any grease, and yellowed plastic debris if applicable. -Clean each bulbs socket contacts using same method (the entire metal band at base of bulb) (also ensure inside the glass housing you can shine a light and see both filiments {they look like tiny springs almost and should touch one vertical pole to another} and ensure both are still good) -now install the bulbs back into the sockets by pushing in and turning cw **DO NOT INSTALL USING ANY TYPE OF CONTACT GREASE THESE SEALED ENCLOSURES WERE NOT DESIGNED TO HAVE ANY INTERNAL MOISTURE PRESENT** -install each assembled socket and bulb back into position by aligning notches and turning cw - reconnect the assembly back to vehicle via 4-pin connector - reconnect battery - turn accessories on or start car to test tail lights (Same methodology is applicable to the headlights just a slightly different removal/disassembly process but just as easy)

I have a 2015 Kia Sorrento it seems like my headlights are not on while I’m driving at night I talked to Kia I brought it in. They checked everything all the wires are good and I replaced them with the lights that they recommended no change I still can’t see at night. Can you please help anybody?

if its blowing cold on one side and heat on the other that sound like you got a problem with your blend door not functioning correctly. Either its the door might be broken/ stuck or it may be the controler gone bad or cant locate the position of the door. You can try disconcerting the battery for a few mins and reconnect it and it may fix it, no promises. Hope you can get it fixed.
My radio turn on and beep but have no other sound I already disconnect the battery and still not working sometimes when I’m driving it start to play the music and last for a while and suddenly the sound disappears again any other tip what can I do?
What about engines blowing up and catching fire I will buy a pos Hyundai anything or a kia ever Cars sit in a garage and catch on fire Card blow the engines bad tranny Everything is horrible
I just got my kia Sorento 14 towed I needed a whole new ENGINE 😩 THAT WAS GONNA BE BETWEEN 9-10 THOUSAND DOLLARS H MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DIDNT COVER IT WELL WOULDN'T had to get a new vehicle within a week long story short kias are trash 😑 and not reliable the only makes of vehicles that are reliable is honda and toyota
