Ms. Taguig is my favorite. She reminds me of Cat. She answers questions confidently . Like walang tigil yung pagsasalita niya na natural na lumalabas sa bibig mga sinsasabi niya. So effortless
She's like Cat in the sense that she's spontaneous in speaking English since she grew up in the states but her answers don't have the depth that Cat has.

Repeating something is important especially kapag gusto mong matandaan ng tao yung sinabi mo o gusto mo maging malinaw yung sagot mo sa mga makakarinig. :)
I really hope Maureen joins again. Her essence is so light and airy, very refreshing for the pageant stage. This really suits her more than Kisses (in my opinion), and it looks like she was having so much fun.

I think Cebu Province did not fully understand the question... she focused her answer about social media when the question is about social awareness. She got nervous for sure. Congrats to the winner!

Steffi - Didn't answer the question. This made her the 2nd runner-up. (Strongest asset: Her pasarela) Bea - Great answer. She sounded right. She could've done better if she had a concrete example (that will outshine other MU candidates in December). (Strongest asset: She answers with calmness and elegance and that's why she always sounds right even though there were grammar mistakes - and that's a god-tier asset in every pageant) Katrina - Another great answer though I think the judges found loopholes (a) she was asked about the quality of a Miss Universe Philippines but she answered about the best qualities of a Miss Universe (b) she was running out of breath at the end and was cut by the host. (Strongest asset: She adds her personal touch with her god-tier ability to speak - we can see this quality to previous Miss Universe IMG winners) Victoria - Great answer although it needs a deeper personal touch to outshine Bea and Katrina. (Strongest asset: She constructs her thoughts so well and gives a god-tier answer) Maureen - Great start but she ended weakly. She can join again. (Strongest asset: The way she answers each question with sincerity - she can be our MUP in next editions) I hope the org can appoint Katrina and Victoria to represent the Philippines in other international pageants. True. Vvv is a very fast learner Candidate. She answer without hesitation. She doesn't have any background in Pageantry pero nakuha pa niyang labanan Ang mga beterano. I bet She can compete internationally.
I agree w/ your thoughts on Bea’s answer. She has a great answer. But it could’ve been better if she mentioned concrete examples/ways on how she can inspire... very broad lang kasi yong “rising to the occassions, ek ek...” hehehe
Also, I agree with u on Mau’s answer. Her start was strong... but i think she was lost towards the end, tapos wala na syang maisip na ending kaya she just said “to reach for the universe”. Hehehe

This round reminded me of miss universe 1999 final question round. When we thought that miriam is the sealed winner but she choked in this round. And a dark horse which was botswana who confidently answered the question was crowned. Katrina and steffi were a sure win until this round came. Steffi choked a bit and katrina let her nerves dominate. I was surprised when the news came out that cebu city won. And as i watch this round, she was the only one who had the smoothest delivery of the answer.
Maureen started flawlessly and I know she could have been deliver her answer perfectly if only she didn't cut it earlier. But all in all she still proved how good and talented she is. One of the qualities of a Beauty Queen - an eloquent speech / orator. Am not a fan of Bea (rooting for Kisses Delavin since the start) but let’s face it among the Top 5 candidates, she delivered her answer the most effectively, in fairness to the judges😎
I can say Miss Cavite has potential to be a part of the MU. She might be in the Top 5 I guess. If she can defeat other veteran candidates at MUP how much more internationally. She just need to practice more her stage presence and Pasarela walk. QnA isn't a problem at all.
Steffi choked on the question. Bea sounded right on her answer, delivered with conviction. Katrina is eloquent but didn’t commit fully on her response. Victoria delivery is spot on but the substance is somewhat bland. Maureen’s answer sounded rehearsed. Yun lang
I think in this Q&A maureen has the best answer and she slayed it, a shy type woman but fighting for what she believes, katrina losts at the end of her thought, steffi what happen while beatrice very brave. Maureen should be the one who crowned as one of titles but she was choosen as 1st runner up. Anyway goodluck to bea and hoping to get the crown
Maureen really did well, her answer was good at first but her last statement sounds lacking, I think it would be better if she ended it stronger. Hope she will still join next year MUPh.
i was still hoping Katrina would win after this q&a, but if the board of judges think Bea is the deserving winner, so be it, congratulations and hopefully she'll perform well in MU. Iwasan lang yung sobrang pasabog, sobrang pa.interview, pasikat, pa hype up, pa.controversya sa isusuot na gown o natco. Ok na yung mag.focus lang sa preliminaries, be humble at friendly, be a good ambassdor of goodwill at i.enjoy ung experience sa MU pageant sa Israel. The rest in the top 5 including Leren, pwedeng pwede silang ipadala bilang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa ibang int'l beauty pageant. Sana wala nang magaganap na bashing at mgkaisa pinoy sa pagsuporta kay Bea sa kanyang MU journey at walang magmamayabang, mangtutuligsa, mamimintas, at mkkpagaway ng ibang MU delegates and their supporters.

This is the honest ranking if I were judging. 1. Maureen - The answer made sense. Her sincerity and eloquence really took over and she delivered it properly and gracefully. 2. Victoria - She alnost had that best answer award. Due to the microphone issues, she was cut short. Even though, I still think she didn't maximize the time she had. She was very eloquent though. 3. Bea - The calmest answer. It was lacking conviction though. She delivered it very relaxed and calm. 4. Katrina - Overall, her answer was good. I liked her delivery, but it was evident that she was nervous. From the way she talked too fast, her forgetting her last words and not having a strong ending. I expected more from her. 5. Steffi - The moment she held the microphone, I knew she wasn't gonna deliver the answer we would've hoped for. She only focused at a keyword, and that keyword is not that relevant in the topic she waa talking about. I also expected more form her. The most important thing though, is they did their best. Congratulations, Ladies. Well done!
As a rule of thumb, never used the word passion or compassion. It is a very common word or response and sounds rehearsed. Béatrice Luigi Gomez, sounds relatable , believable and most of all the delivery was strong but natural. It was definitely à standout, BEA, made a statement that night and it was obvious. I feel sad for Cavite. The Mic thing threw her off. MUP should be prepared in any technical issues before starting the competition. In my opinion, Cavite give the best answer among all but lacks stage presence or Pasarela. Taguig is also good in QnA and Pasarela but due to Hakot awards of Cebu City it made her into the 2nd place Meanwhile Cebu City get the Crown as she is also good in QnA, Pasarela + Hakot awards of different rounds of Competition.
Same question should be asked during the finals in order to really see how the contestants answer the same topic not to mention the same degree of question difficulty
Congrats Everyone I’ve enjoyed watching this pageant -personal opinion during this Q and A - Ms Cebu was the most natural, composed , hindi aral na sagot which made her stand out at least during segment . Let’s see how she stand on MU stage .
Yung sa pa-"Hello, good evening everyone.." intro palang ni Steffi ramdam ko na na may parang something na nagba-bother sa kanya like sobrang kaba. Kasi diba sabi nila gumagamit ng intro line (like "thank you for that wonderful question") para makapag-isip pa ung contestant sa sasagutin.

Sa question na how? Sinabe nya if anything happens to her during her reign that will make her feel uninspired and sad she will not give up "BY RISING TO THE PROBLEMS" she's encountering , so in that way when others can see it that even if she's going through difficulties herself, but she's able to rise to the occasion then others will also be inspired that they can do it as well. @Walking Earphones well she won and according to the judges it was based entirely on the Q&A round and she gave the best answer. The questions is "how she will inspire others, if she's also feeling uninspired" Sometimes the simple thing to do is to simply seek inspiration from other people whom we might look up to if we are feeling demotivated and uninspired, and that person could be her. By not giving up yourself is one way you can inspire others that they can also rise above trial and difficulties, rather than giving in to negativity. Seeing someone went through difficulties but rising above it, can give us a push of encouragement and motivation. Mental toughness and stability are key to strength, her answer was also timely given our current situation.
Dito ko nalang icomment. Una kong nakita si Katrina Dimaranan sa Love Island USA Season 1. Sa mga di nakakaalam para siyang Big Brother type TV show na stay in sa isang island pero focus doon is dating. Nung unang pag pasok niya, sobrang nagandahan ako sa kaniya. Lakas ng appeal. Tapos nagkahinala na ako na Filipino siya based sa physical konti but more on sa values kasi family-oriented siya tas achiever. Tapos naconfirm ko nga overtime. Na evict siya doon sa show later on pero basta panoorin niyo nalang. Hahaha. Since then, finallow ko na siya sa Instagram kaya sobrang gulat ko sumali siya sa MU. Fun fact: Kahit laking ibang bansa siya, magaling siya magtagalog. Hindi yung parang slang na may accent ha. As in tagalog na tagalog. Sobrang gulat ko. Kasi stereotype diba parang pag laking ibang bansa di pulido yung pag tatagalog. Tapos, correct me if I am wrong, nanalo din siya na Miss USA. Since stand alone naman ang MUP, same question dapat sa final. And I hope wala ng botohan at ipasali nalang lahat ang gustong sumali kasi feeling ko sa batch ni bea madaming nasayang na ladies na may potential dahil lang walang sash factor at walang fans :(
My Miss Universe is Valeria Ayos from Colombia..If Katrina won, she has a chance for the criwn or top 5... Miss colombia very beautiful and my gut feeling isbtelling me that she is the next Miss Universe like the feelings i had for Iris, demi , cat Madison first runner up and Andrea Mesa. NOW , I HAVE THAT FEELING FOR MISS COLOMBIA..

Honestly, all the top 5 didn't have strong answer that night. Taguig is best in communication skills. She needs to make her ending statement sound stronger but overall, her answer is the best when it comes to substance. I think that night is her worst performance in q and a out of all her pageant experience. She had very good winning answer in Supranational and Bb pilipinas back then and I believe she's the one who could give a winning miss universe answer. She also is the one who sounds good in prelim interview. If she were to be interviewed in USA, she would sound great no doubt. She's spontaneously articulate without having to rely on memorized lines and typical pageant quotes I dont know how Filipinos think Bea is better than Katrina in speaking skills when she doesnt even sound good in her Tagalog or Taglish interviews. While Bea I would be nervous to hear her interviews in USA if she were to win MU. Even here in the Philippines, when she gets interviewed in Taglish, she doesn't sound impactful. She's average or below average speaker. Her answer in final is well put together (connected) but if you look at it closely, substance isn't there. Sounded cliche. And she didn't directly answer the question. It was too general. I'm not sure if that came from her mind at that moment or from her memorization. That was the best performance of q and a she had. She's not that good in formulating spontaneous answers atm just like in prelim interview but she would be best with memorized lines and pageant quotes. The disadvantage with that is that person sticking to memorized lines or pageant quotes could encounter a question she never trained for and would have a hard time formulating an answer at the moment. She also lacks personality on stage compared to the other top 5 that's why she comes of as not charismatic despite giving that stoic fierce face.
Magaling sumagot si Maureen confident sya. Pero nakulangan ako sa sagot nya.. Hndi nya masyado naexpound. But still shes amazing.. I love her from the start..
