I own this system and use 2 subs. Its very good. Really wish it had Atmos, as this system has been around for almost 5 years would expect them to release a new system with Atmos shortly. Or discontinue the LS systems completely and just sell Sound bars. If i were buying now id get the SB900 with the sub and surround speaker for around half the price. If you think about it the SB 900 is very close to what you are getting from the LS650 front L/C/R. Ive had my LS650 for 4 years now, and I must say I feel like I'm not loving it, sometimes the sound feels harsh and I get head aches, I don't love listing to music on the system. This is my 2nd LS system, I owned the LS48, was able to trade it in for the LS650 and received a nice trade in discount. I think for $4k you can get much better speakers that provide more mid level response. I know a lot of people talk trash about Bose, if you ask my family they would say they sound amazing, and are small and out of the way. I have 2 Kef Q750 and an older Sony ES receiver that I just mainly use for Audio, those speakers blow the Bose out of the water, even just 2 speakers sound better with movies then the LS650. I am not saying to not get the Bose system, it is very good, you need to spend time listing to it, not just 10 minutes at a bestbuy, to see if you really like it and its for you. At the end of the day it only matters to you what system you like, there's no right or wrong for everyone!
I have the lifestyle v35 and had the headache issue after listening for sometime. Then I ran the adaptiq system and the sound has become way more balanced and headache is gone as well. Please give the adaptiq system a try. V35 sounds great and I enjoy playing music through it. The soundstage and openness are impressive. It almost feels as if the band is physically present. Quite a feat for those small jewel cubes to deliver defying physics without real tweeters. I also have a full blown Klipsch/onkyo and doing A/B with it, Bose still holds the ground pretty well.
I just watch your video about 650, I love your unique and entertaining style of unboxing 😁 but cool guy's love both of you, best wishes for your family, keep it up.. thanks
So I have the life style 600 with 2 subs & 4 rear speakers & it runs my £10,000 pioneer / dual Rel / monitor audio silver speakers very close . The Bose fils 25ft by 12ft extension with ease . Very loud clear sound with good deep bass it literally blows you away when watch 5.1 films
Just wondering if you've ever had any issues with your 650? I recently purchased one 5 months ago and day one after setup I have this issue where the LED light on the console turns red. When it does that the system won't do anything unless I reset it. But give it day and it does the same exact thing again. Bose has attempted to fix the console twice as well but the issue persists. Anyway ever had any problems with yours?
For those of us with 4k TV without EARC, no Atmos disks and an existing Soundtouch network this is a unit to aspire to. Only problem is that whole Soundtouch line was discontinued so I am quite upset. We use our Soundtouch 300s almost every day. Considering to get a Bose 500 or 700 unit. At least the firmware is still getting updates. Those with Soundbar 700 and 900 sadly lose backward compatibility (play all) with units such as that in this video and the NAS music playback.
Hey, Can u guide me. I am a novice looking for some best home theatre experience and music with surround. There are options my friend is selling his bose lifestyle v 35 and lifestyle 535 ( on a website) . Till now I was considering greatest soundbar with sub from Sonos and bose 900. But coz of price I am looking for the used lifestyle V 35 or 535... Am I compromising heavily on the sound quality and surround effect..Plz help
Nice Video! I am from Germany and i have one question, maybe you can help me. The 2 small rear speaker, how long are the connection cables? From speaker to digital receiver and from receiver adapter to wall socket? That would be so nice . Thanks.
The good thing is, no, you have to get players separately! I had an older Bose unit including a built-in player and once it’s broken I had to spent a fortune repairing it!
I have the same question! Debating both. Did you get anything yet? I really want the surround but it would be nice to just have a few items to deal with. I owned the amazing v30 years ago and I loved it. So I wanted to know how these compare to the surround
@@gary_michael_flanagan_wildlife I bought the 900 soundbar and Couldn't be happier. Soundbar 900 it's the latest tech, latest connectivity so that's why I bought this instead of the 650
@@juanrodrigo4882 do you use it with the sub, module? How is it with music? I have heard some negatives and positives but I’m curious how the music is? Thanks
@@gary_michael_flanagan_wildlife Yes, I use it with the Bass module 700 and the surround 700 and honestly I love the quality. I'm not an expert but I couldn't be happier. I grew up with my dad's lyfestyle v25 and everytime I go back to my parents place I think the quality is better for the new gen.
Add one more sub. Your room will blown out by the thundering bass. I have two subs it’s amazing experience. Install rare speakers on ceiling for more immersive sound and Atmos effects.
The beauty of arc is it uses one cable for the audio and video, where yours, you will need a separate video cable (HDMI) and a separate digital audio cable (Optical)
Even though I think bose sound is "ok". It kills me to think of the set up you could of got with what you payed for that 650. The adapt iq isn't unique to bose. All av receivers have this technology and its more in depth not a couple of options on a remote control. We're dolby atmos and 4k 120hz now. Bose are very behind in the tech. But long as your happy guys! I just always wonder why some people are "happy" to pay more to get less?
Because Bose makes things simple and the end result is always impressive in isolation. There are absolutely better systems sure, but they usually don’t look as clean, require more fine tuning, and were more involved to setup. I get the appeal of both styles but I do not get the utter snobbery spewed at Bose. It’s like Android fangirls raging at iOS users, even though iOS is blatantly superior is many (most really) key respects.
@@operamatthew All about preference and perspective. Ive always really liked the Bose sound but it’s not for everyone. It’s really hard to demo the sound quality via RU-vid and cameras so I focused more on the usability and ease of setup which I think is a big value for this system. Few cords and no amps, etc.
Wow dished out on a lifestyle 650 at the worst time. All that cash on a non-atmos setup without 4k 120 hz passthrough, meh. Better luck next time buddy!
