I just purchased my Rane 4

I think what they did here from an audio engineer standpoint is they introduced nonlinear editing the to equation which is unheard of in other controllers other than the AKAI MPC that is not designed specifically for performance. I think it's brilliant! Also the ability to automatically with a click of a button separate the vocals and instrumentals!!!!!! :0 mic drop.. that's insane! and then be able to independently manipulate the automatically extracted portion of the song?!!!! Wow, I must say I'm impressed and as far as studio production goes the MPC is king because it uses the nonlinear editing system giving it that signature sound.. I have a feeling this is a game changer, I just bought one a few minutes ago.. we'll see :) Perhaps referencing nonlinear editing is the wrong way to describe it but being able to edit and manipulate parts of the same song at the same time open some new opportunities as compared to the traditional way of doing it.. thus a new timeline.. like you could rearrange the words in a song with the actual singers voice and over the same beat etc. on the fly... my mind is blown.. I'm stoked to check it out.

Ive got an old windows 10 lenovo laptop but its been beefed up maximum memory also the CPU has been readjusted for memory would it be sufficient enough for Rane 4 serato drivers ?

How does the platters compares to a Cdj3000 or Denonsc6000? Also will Rane come out with a M version of this controller aka Rane 4m with motories platters like the Denonsc6000m that be super cool! Rane Four vs Pioneer ddj flx10?

I really really don't like the strobe dot pattern, it just looks cheap on a fixed platter controller, otherwise im very excited for this one and wish i had the money for one of these

will the rane 4 work with djay pro 5.0?

For me it’s all going to come down to the price.. I don’t plan on using stems a whole lot so I don’t want to spend a lot of money just for a shiny new toy when I can’t get a similar unit for less money.. looks great though.. Love Rane products

Rane has done it’s part now it’s Serato time to upgrade things so people don’t have to go and buy another computer because now the stems can not work with certain machines.

There's nothing there justifying the rumored price. When using midi mapping with a 1500 dollar controller will get you 90 percent there.
