When I went back into Animal Crossing: New Leaf before hearing the news, many of my Perfect Peach trees had suddenly withered away...Which is when I learned about what had happened soon after. It had then occurred to me: While the one rotten peach may be disheartening, the two fresh perfect peaches dropped by a dying tree can be planted to make even more. Mr. Iwata was the tree, his commitment and passion for so many fantastic games are the Perfect Peaches, and we are the Villagers who will plant them, so that even more of the trees which will bear such fruit will be able to sprout and grow over time. We all understand now, that so many of the games he has helped make possible have become akin to happy homes for veterans, newcomers and strangers alike...

I noticed a couple of people complaining about ads before the video, so FYI - if you want a video to NEVER be seen on RU-vid, disable the ads. I guarantee you no one will know who this great man was. But, of course, if you have ZERO idea how publishing/media/RU-vid works, then sure... you have a point. But seriously, when someone dies and a magazine puts that person on the cover, do they give away the magazine and not run ads. Sheesh. We DROPPED everything else we were working on to get this out ASAP... RU-vid is a big business, they want videos to serve ads... so for us to disable ads is counter-productive to us honoring Satoru Iwata. To be clear, if you are a gamer AND followed Nintendo and the creative geniuses behind the games and consoles, you may know who he was... 99% of the world's population probably doesn't know who he was. To conclude, I'd be curious to see those few leading the Outrage Camp what they'd say if we ran ads before a Mother Teresa RIP clip. At the time I wrote this: 4800 people (and counting) Liked vs 100 who Disliked... I ask you, in all seriousness, where to draw the line? We did a clip on ISIS, should we disable ads there too? What about Cancer-related clips? If you think that bashing us for not disabling ads on this clip sounds smart and enlightened, please bear in mind that Mr Iwata was a passionate gamer and builder who took a pay cut at one point to lead by example, but he was an executive of a video game company. A video game company. So, I say this VERY respectfully, we value all opinions, we always have... but sheesh, there's a time and place to get on your high horse. But here? The argument bashing us makes no sense... we'd get more views (and ergo, more revenue) by having done something with more universal commercial appeal. respectfully WatchMojo

I'm still sad that he's gone =/ every time I hear his name I think of everything he's done. Time flies, but memories stay forever. My Favorite thing about Iwata was that even though he was in so much of a bad situation, he always showed love for all of us, and even hurt himself to make us happy. True definition of a Hero to me.

Iwata was the reason behind me becoming a gamer, when I first played Pokemon blue, I got hooked I took a huge interest in Nintendo and gaming in general. I just wanna say iwata thanks for everything you were such a great man and seeing you go isn't easy for all us Nintendo fans and gamers. R.i.p. We are gonna miss you T^T

I can't stress enough how big of an influence this man had on our favorite hobby. Even though I never met him, he has had more impact in my life than most people I come in contact with everyday.

My favorite moment was his 2015 E3. With the puppets, I was lashing so hard. He made people feel better, and happier with his games and announcements. See you later Iwata.

That taking a 50% paycut is really something no one else would do and that makes this man unique. He believed in his work, company and in himself and I think I speak for us all when saying he will be missed.

The Nintendo directs I loved them so much

Im still saddened that his last speach or writting was to appologize to gamers who were upset about the digital directs at E3. I love that he umderstood the money used on E3 could be easily used to keep jobs and develope games.

It doesn't matter whether you like Nintendo or not, Iwata-san was a wonderful man and he will be missed. We've lost someone great.

I grew up with nintendo, and I always loved the DS as it was something new to my young self, and I ended up buying every single new DS model that came out, and I currently own the 3ds, and even though I dont play it as much as I used to, if I ever need to just pass the time and have fun without having to worry too much about competitive play, I know that my DS is what I look for. When I traded in my DS and DSLite for the 3ds, I felt as if though I betrayed the great president of nintendo. I owe Iwata so much for all the great times hes given me. I played nintendo games with friends and family and made some of my most memorable and important memories with it. When I heard of his passing away, I broke into tears knowing a great man has just left this world. I always wanted to be like him, and I know most of you probably dont care about my opinion or anything I wrote down here, but I know I speak for many others when I say I havent ever met Iwata in person, and I never got to meet him like I hoped I would, but to me he was a friend, and he was an inspiration. Nobody would ever fill his place as to me he was special. And to this day im still tearful about his departure. R.I.P Satoru Iwata, you have a special place in my heart, you will be greatly missed.

i met mr.iwata when i was 7 years old i told him that i loved the way he talked. he then smiled and asked me what was my favourate nintendo game. i told him the legend of zelda the ocarina of time. i miss him so much

The 50% pay cut still baffles me, in a time where presidents of any company are usually seen as corrupt as the norm. He went to that length because he cared that much about the company and it's employees, the world needs more people like him.

Iwata was a great man, he bought everyone happiness and joy, and bought us great games. On his buisness card he was a president of a company. In his mind he was a game developer. In his heart he was a gamer, and in our eyes, a great man. I'm not gonna complain like everyone else about the Adblock, but instead remember the man. R.I.P Satoru Iwata, 1959?-2015.

I've been playing his games ever since I was like 4. He was been a part of my childhood for many, many years and still to this day. He will never be forgotten and I like many others still miss him. He died way too soon. #RIPIwata

Literal conversion I had with my sister about him: Sister: Wouldn't be sad if the guy that just died was the one in the movie Pixel. Me: Well, the one that died- Sister: was the Nintendo guy? Me: There are two "Nintendo guys" the one that made Pokemon and the one that made Mario. The one that made Mario is the one that died and I believe he is the one in the movie Pixel. Sister: Oh that's gonna sad to watch. Me: what's sad is he also made Kirby but got tired of it when people kept demanding sequels so he left the franchise and created Mario. Satoru Iwata was a true advancement into the gaming generation. He was our help to make gaming better, he had a spirit of gaming. Never once did he quit on helping gaming and he kept his promise. He will go down and gaming history as one of the most definitive people to ever live. Mr. Iwata was a great man. He gave us so many known mascots and titles that inspire us of what we play today. He gave us Mario, Legend of Zelda, and many others. He gave us the hype for a Nintendo game. He always made us laugh during his funny jokes, and "Muppet" jokes. He knows he's done something good, when Playstation thanked him. We won't forget him.

I want to say thank you iwata you brought me into gaming with kirby and pokemon, and now with you passing away I would like to say thank you for introducing me to video games and helping nintendo thrive. Rest in peace
