For large part yes, I'm older now and is why bought a 2020 shadow after a 25+ year hiatus. I do not need to go triple digit speeds anymore(150+). Though I would if it could hence the smaller bike
Thank you for the video. I live in the Ozark Mountains in the boonies! I got my Trail 125 3 months ago and can't stay off of her. The nearest village is 7 miles and the nearest town (6,000 people) is 25 miles away. My 4X4 , roadster and SUV stay in the garage while I pick up supplies using the Honda!!! I've installed a new Diablo seat, wind deflector, metal basket, two motorcycle carry pouches ( for tools, tire inflation canister, registration and other gear) and an engine guard with highway pegs to stretch out your legs for longer trips.
I have been looking at this bike for awhile now and I'm going to buy one. I really enjoyed your video and I would gladly watch more of you riding around on yours. I'm getting older so going fast is not my preference. I just want to cruise around the neighborhoods and go fishing. I can imagine putting on a crate like you did and attaching self made rod holders on it. I'm really excited to get one. 👍🙂
Fun video and spot on! I was able to find one last month and I'm having so much fun with it. It's not the only bike in my stable but I love it along with the others with equal vigor!!
Great video 👍 If gas goes to $6/gal in Florida I'm getting saddlebags from my KTM.lol I love your bike. Honda makes the most dependable bike and it looks super cool. Definitely cooler than the grom and 130mpg, that's a no brainer.
#6 passing speed bumps, as you illustrated. I shortcut through an empty parking lot on my way to and from work most days. I leave the drivers with the same idea in my rearview
That's in the same 2-wheeler class as the Honda Aero 125 2-stroke scooter I owned way back in the mid-1980's! It was _'Honda'_ reliable also, as it never failed to start in the 2 or 3 years that I owned it. P.S. It was just a tad too slow to comfortably use on 2-lane highways (and FORGET the Interstate!!!). I replaced it with a 294cc "standard" motorcycle which did 95mph if you were that brave. I only did it once just to find out. But it would cruise "all day" (seemingly) at 75 to 80 on the Interstate which is all you need. IIRC it still returned about 45mpg going that fast. With no windscreen though I preferred going 65mph on 2-lane highways, which I did far more of.
Number one reason to not get it. Safety. North Americans are not motorcycle aware and riders are at a distinct disadvantage. Every time I ride my motorcycle I treat every vehicle as a potential accident.
Make more videos about the Honda Trail 125. I have one too and love it. Go out on some adventures on the bike and make videos out of that. Keep up the good work!
Bought one in June loved it so much bought a second one. For anyone tall I strongly recommend Rox 2" bar Risers. Just need to reroute the brake line which was a piece of cake. Cheers
I had a 2017 Suzuki Inazuma 250 twin. It looks a lot bigger, most people thought it was a 600... ive had 50 bikes and have been riding 365 all the time... ive had fireblades and Vespa's, anything with two wheels..Sports, off Road, commuters, you name it ive had it... but that little 250 Inazuma was possibly thebest bike I ever had... you could take her flat out and to the limit all the time... and she wouldn't kill you...
When I passed my Theory Motorcycle test one part was a video of driving through a town and you had to click the mouse each time you perceived a hazard. I clicked for every feature, signs, people on the path, parked cars, junctions, trees, bends. And I had a high score, because those are all hazards, in fact just riding is hazardous.
You can get clones tho for around a grand new. Ssr has the lazer 5 which actually came out before the new Honda and has disc brakes but only 50cc and pedals. Same motor mounts as an amazon pitbike motor. So for around 1700 you could have a new fancy one just not technically street legal until you go thru some hoops.
The bike I'm also looking at is 130 miles per tank of gas, no clutch or shifting, just a twist an go,it only gets up to around 45mph,but street legal just not on interstate an I'm fine with that, brand new 2,100.00 an free shipping with a year bumper to bumper warranty an warranty on the motor too.
Flashback for me, my first bike was a CT 70 trail, that little thing was a blast. I took a 25+ year hiatus from riding due to kids, bought a 2020 shadow last year, good to have wind in my face again, be safe out there.
Great simple video narrating all the positives for having a CT. Check out some of our videos showing what the CT is capable of off road. Thanks for sharing. Love the RED choice.
Good video !!! Man, how did u find one in SoCal. Live in same area but can find one at my local dealers. Tried del amo and even the one in la habra no luck ;(
I remember the day I could pull into Chevron and put two and a half gallons of Custom Supreme in my 305 scrambler for a buck! 100+ octane at $.399 per gallon! Yeah I am older than dirt.
I have a '68 Trail 90, want to find a good local mech that can fix a sticking transmission at a reasonable price. ( Southern CA). Good info video! Buy a higher displacement bike if you need to easily keep up with typical US traffic "safely" or want to go faster than 50mph.
Have 250 miles on my new 2021 ,arrived in 2022. List for 3900 .my cost 5400 w shipping, plates etc. Have a 40 $ hard chain I put in new concrete in the garage for a lock on the front wheel.wish I would have added one for rear wheel also . Love it but reach for the clutch to shift to a higher gear at 25 mph and nothing there. Should have been a 5 speed. Then you would have a crawl speed like the old ones and more of a hiway gear.
Watching this in June 2022, I lol at your cheap gas prices in March... ah the good old days, when gas was cheap. Trail 125, 130 mpg! Fried chicken, AND a coon skin hat, YEAH BABY!!
Cool Bike ! Wish I could Find one ! Or A Trail 70 ! , Riding one To Target 🎯 is A Must , watch out for Dangerous Runaway shopping Carts though Right ? It seems even more fun than Driving my Classic 69 Impala To Target .
Grab another case...cut it off just above the bottom...drill a few holes, a few wire ties and a lock, and BOOM, you have a semi-secure lid for your 'top box'
I'm enjoying my 125 trail.. It's very slow.. in I big guy. 280#.. it's NOT a hiway bike. So I'm gearing mine down 13/45 put on some knobby tires . And ride it like it was ment to be.. a trail bike.
Just announced, 2022 Honda CT125, is shipping to USA, appearing at Dealers April 2022. Glowing Red only. No new engine. Exactly the same as '21. No oil filter, like Grom& Monkey get. Not the updated Euro5 Engine. Surprised.
Was thinking of buying a new Welsh pit bike and making it road legal, a place in UK import them, but I ain’t paying £4K for it, when I could buy a Pit bike and a 190cc engine and have change for a family holiday to Thailand I have a Chonda Dax copy, the Lifan Engine is invincible! Done over 13k miles no problem
yikes! don't wait man... do what you gotta do to find it and get it. that's crazy!!! I literally discovered this bike less than 2 weeks ago.... Love at first sight! I had to have it!!! only to come to the disappointing realization that this little hot item is a ghost everywhere! Thanks to Quasimotard youtube channel, I left a comment similar to yours, and he told me, that he heard that Florida just got a few. So I immediately start hitting up random FL dealerships...boom i find one...and dude asking $6,400!!! $1500 freigh n prep fees! i'm like wtf. so i start leaving comments in different videos to get a sense of what other people paid for theirs, etc... and my buddy PSBE Advertures told me that he got his in GA for like $4200 out the door. So i hit those people up.... they tell me they got one... I said I'll take it... and they told me I had to be there in person to sign n receive it... So me living in NJ, had to fly to JAX, rent a pick up truck, drive north to the dealership, load the bike, and drive back 13hrs to NJ.... When there's a will, there's a way. I also found other dealers in FL that would only sell to locals cuz they count on you coming back for maintenance/repairs, etc.. one guy in PA said he only ever received and sold 3, meanwhile has 29 people on a waiting like...wtf??? why would you do that.. smh. another guy in NC told me he sold 2 to out of state guys MA and NJ, and he has people from Canada and Europe calling him asking if he has any.. shit is crazy! Still can't believe I have one. It's surreal.
Jackson Honda Andalusia Alabama. As of two weeks ago when I stopped by. I am very well pleased with mine . i only have 350 miles on it but getting 110 mpg. I wanted a dual purpose bike I am getting too old for my klr 650. Wish you luck in finding one.
WOW 130 miles per Gallon, my 2013 Yamaha Zuma 125 cc, achieves fuel economy up to an estimated 89 mpg** with a fuel tank that holds 1.6 gallons of gas. 🏆🏆HONDA 🏆🏆
You failed to mention just how fast the bike is, and nothing about acceleration, ride or brakes. You also failed to mention its most useful feature that giant rack in the back.
You just left off of the gas throttle, shift into the next gear with your left foot and then back onto the throttle. There is no clutch on this scooter/ motorcycle. You can stop in any gear, shift back into first at a stopped position and then take off again by apply the gas throttle.
You should make a bungee strap so you dont lose things again. Then again, dont, because some homeless guy is saying to himself "OH SWEET, I JUST FOUND A HAT, COOL!" 🤘😁
Lock the handle bars, get a brake caliber alarm\lock, park in conspicuous places, don't skimp on insurance. I do worry about it but try not to let it ruin my fun.
Yeah so I take a few precautions, it's not cool proof but I park it in a court yard on a locked patio, under a bike cover, plus a few more precautions. I also have a tracker on it so I can see where it's at at all times.
