This sounds like the strikers scouting method I'd prefer the ie2 scouting method of Step 1 beat X team Step 2 pick player to scout Step 3 find them on the map and beat them in a match Step 4 have fun :)

Idk why but i never minded the go system of scouting. Alot of people despise it and i can understand where they come from. But it never felt that bad to me personally.

@@NimbleFire the only bad thing about the go system is that the trofee's are chance and that you can't really accidentally get good players anymore. "Oh let me try this player from this team and see if they're good" or just a random street player. Now you know which are good and which are bad. I mean you know that pants is good when she was like idk purple coins and in the last area you can reach in the last place of that area.

One thing i would like concerning FS/Totems, is that the totem strikes/moves are added as basic moves... Sadly there will 100% be a meta, although how bad non-meta players are will hopeful be greatly diminished

I was just about to comment this, although i dont really remember how they worked in 2013 strikers. I think that adding in keshin/fighting spirits and their moves as moves you can equip to a character would make them better than having a character run around with their fighting spirit out or armed and give them a huge advantage, hopefully they will make those moves’ power more inline with the other non keshin/fighting spirit moves would be the best as some of them are just too dope to not have in the game

I’ll note my thoughts - 1) Personally I don’t mind rare item drops however there comes a point when something is too rare to the point that it may as well not even drop in the first place. IE 3 is the biggest offender to this as it has a whole assortment of 2% and 1% drops. Making everything 10% - 60% a bit like the GO games is better. However considering it’s an RPG it’s likely they’ll have rare drops anyways in the form of special moves or the best equip in the game and so forth. 2) Coins/Tokens for certain types of players are 100% just overcomplicating the game’s recruitment system. It was fine in galaxy as they aren’t too hard to get. However in IE 3… 🤢 3) I don’t mind if they are in the game or not, I quite like these features lol 4) Unless they give everyone identical stats similar to IE 1’s japanese version which only has a spread of 6 different types of stats. (Jack with 100 kick moment) then there will always be a meta. However it’s up to level 5 to determine how severe it is. I would personally prefer it to be like GO 1’s meta where everyone is legitimately viable. 5) Version exclusive stuff is what I live for lol. However I do want to see large differences in versions, similar to GO 1 where whole routes, postgame, story interactions and stuff are all different. Unlike stuff like GO 3 where the only differences is legitimately like 30 alien scouts, the postgame and some special moves.

I think keshins/ souls could give a nice 3rd dimension to the game competitively specially for the team building aspect of the game. (Also leveling up moves would become nicer)

I know this might be kinda wierd, but I actually kinda liked the fact that it was hard to get certain items as mentioned in #1. But I do agree that the rng aspect of it is kinda wierd, instead maybe instead you could have like 6 things you need for a key player instead of 4. So it feels more rewarding to scout certain players

It's already confirmed keshins and souls are not gonna be in the game because the story takes place in the first season.

My hope is that scouting is like in the Strikers series. All you gotta do is beat the team the player is on to unlock them as an option, then spend however much they cost to add them

There isnt a feeing of reward for it IMO. If you still needed to do something like in ina 2 or with an easier palpack like system i think that would be better for me personally

1. i agree with getting rid of the ultra rare item drops, but palpack in general is a fine feature 2. yeah agreed its a bit confusing 3. i feel like these features need to come back in some form just to be fair to GO characters who would be without their main selling point, though hopefully they're reworked to not be as busted 4. i... yeah no man there needs to be some form of meta, there will always be characters better than others unless you give everyone the exact same stats and movesets. my only wish for the meta is making skills exclusive to players rather than anyone being able to learn anything, so there's more variety in team building instead of just stacking the best skill on every player 5. praying for no multi version 🙏

As for 4, if you make certain skills exclusive to players then IE will become so unbalanced like Pokemon as X character will have a broken skill that trumps everyone else’s exclusice skills. (Speaking from experience playing Inazuma Eleven SD lol)

speaking as someone who played inazuma sd all day every day from launch to shutdown, skills were handled much better than in galaxy. if anyone can learn any skill, it just becomes a matter of what 16 players have the highest stats. at least SD allowed for some uniqueness in team composition until Desuta came out

@@Grandmasterdisaster1 I remember the times of everyone using Triple Blizzard Bunny and Shot Blocker/Goalkeeper Quentin lol. In galaxy, at least everyone has a fighting chance in the meta and they are determined by their stats, but in SD and IE 1, 2 and 3 a character’s viability is completely determined by what they get at base, which will 100% whittle down the meta to around 100 out of 4500 characters. This was the same case in SD when hosting matches and stuff, everyone used the same character if they had them. (E.g. at the start of SD, Triple Blizzard override Bunny was spammed in multiplayer matches) and then Destra came along and so forth. I would prefer to have a team I would like to use in any position however I want rather than be bound to how to use a player because they have a x1.3 Shot Power Multiplier compared to someone else who gets a 5% Critical! hit chance increase. (E.g. Adult Axel had a x1.3 Shoot Sense skill which gave his high shooting power an additional x1.3 multiplier) while others just got stuff like Talent scout or treasure hunter

@@TheModecular people used Nae because she was the only source of that specific combination of skills, then fell out of use once typical gacha powercreep came along. SD’s system allowed the use of different playstyles in the same position (Summer Kuruma’s Chance Getter VS SARU’s Fantasista). if you allow any player to learn any skill, then the optimal choice will always be whoever has the highest stat. yes, some players may be unviable if they get a bad stat/skill/hissatsu combination, but that makes it more interesting to try and fit them onto a team. as a game designer, i would rather every player feel unique. if they can learn any skill or hissatsu, then they no longer feel unique, which is a horrible feeling to have for every player in a game with over 4500 options. it also means you can have more interesting skills like the ones in SD without having to worry about how they interact with other skills on a player

@@Grandmasterdisaster1 you may have 2 players like Simeon/Kaiser be equally good but those 2 will end up leaving every other FW in the whole game in the dust. For uniqueness, its fun but for game balancing it is completely awful because we know that there will be X character that has the strongest skills available. Which is essentially what Bunny and Destra was in SD. Gamma in Chrono Stones is the perfect example of this. No weaknesses with a great MM and a 200 power shot. Which ended up having to get banned in some online tournaments. DE Feldt in IE 3 is the blatant obvious choice when choosing a keeper because he gets an unique set. If you choose anyone else then you're essentially nerfing your team. I wouldn't call this good teambuilding. Meanwhile with stats, the difference is minimalised and everyone can be viable. And they can still have their own moves if they go the GO 3 route of ultimate evolving manuals.

For the scouting drops it should be if you S rank, the first time you do so, you get the drop guaranteed but have a lower chance if you only get A or B

I actually kind of liked the capsule machine system. It was fun when it said “looks like a rare one” however the tokens were way too hard to get. If they just gave x5 from a battle or 10x from a match or whatever it would have been fine, but no it was 1 sometimes and 3 was rare

I don't think they need to delete the fighting spirits , they just need to make them less gimmicky, like the miximaxes in galaxy. Make them a seventh more powerfull but more expensive technique that every player can learn without the fs coins. The armours are more difficult to come back but they can find a way to make them work

I would like for items that are required for scouting to be guaranteed drops when you S rank the match first time. Otherwise, they should have a chance to drop as is when just completed so you can either push on trough a hard match or grind it if you have a skill issue. Drops from random encounters should have a fairly high chance to drop, so it takes no more than 1-3 attempts to get them. Rare drops should be reserved for move manuals and equips imo. I love IE2 scouting and PalPacking, just rid of the coins and make a healthy mix of the two and we will be fine. Keshins can basically be end game, TP heavy moves. As for meta, just rid of the freedom cap. Instead add a stats cap for all players, or by position. As well as a separate mechanic where you reverse position a player to sacrifice one stat cap to lift the other higher(MF can have a decent kick stat and amazing dribbling stats at maximum training, if you reverse them to FW his kick stat will be amazing but dribbling stats will drop to a decent category cap.) As well as 4 slots to customize skill sets. Boom, every player can be used in the meta. And even at any position if you so desire. The difference is that some players will start at higher natural stats so it will take more money to max out a 'low' tier character. They can also differ by how quickly they level up(Pretty sure its already a thing).

I definitely agree with take 1 and 2. I don't want to spend 12 hours on this one team for the chance of getting some super rare item. To add onto that, in the GO games all players who are recruited start at level 1. Which means that if you do get the super rare item the player will basically be useless unless you play early game stuff. Hopefully they fix that. As for take 2, I'd say capsule scouting is the worst scouting mechanic besides palpacjing. It was absolute garbage, all of it was rng based and i might actually be willing to call it worse than palpacking if these rare item drops weren't around. Galaxy did not to bring back those annoying coins either. All in all, agreed. But take 3 is sounding like hating, I'll dive into it later.

Agreed, hell it took me 3 years to get great max na ore of just fighting only that team and i've gotten at least 2 thousand hours now, I kept getting everything else except that, but the moment I got it double chyouwaza and double yama no kokoroe plus the shoot manual up for Kami and instantly the move became too expensive for zanakurou and was barely enough for his actual keshin armed to use once because tp became like 148 or something can't remember anymore, so I was glad with the miximax in galaxy for double keshin

I want fs in the game, so a good compromise is to have like a casual mode where fs and totems are not allowed and like ranked matches that they are allowed about wanting to use a team with "weak players" that basically gets rid of the rpg aspect of the game which would be pointless

1. i personally agree with that the palpacks requirements are stupid and the drops are very rare an easy solution is to 1-make treasure hunter actually work 2- let it stack does are the best solutions, when it comes to achievements that a player needs in order to scout removing them is the best solution because i am not spending like 2k minutes just to get 100 match wins when each match takes like 20 min ( nathan in chrono stone is a pain to get ). 4.there will always be a meta since not every player can have to same stats now a good way to make it more enjoyable is every player having a hiss that is only theirs lets say ( mark v1 is the only with omega the hand while mark v2 has god catch ) this way more players will have spot light due to only them having this high lvl hiss you mentioned tod ( tod could have dash accelerator only for him ) but for this to fully work a good amount of old move would need to get a revamp in power or more abilities/uses lets speak about dash accelerator, maybe it could make tod run faster for a short period of time after using it which would make it more unique and thats already making his value go up. 6. now this is my custom point but i personally think hyper training shouldnt come back like i dont want to ( oh first week of the game everyone has their players 99 with their normal max stats and trained to the next week i am fighting a dude with a mark evans with 0 kick 0 drib 0 block with 500 catch ) thats just a no.

Nah y'all are just hating. Spirits, armourfying and totems are basically everything the GO games pride themselves on and you want to remove it? Nah, I wanna see my Glenr's Demon Bolting all over the place and my Lord Of Daemons Evera Mortal Smashing the goalkeeper with pure monke power. Plus the armourfying but hopefully they do it like Chrono Stone where you can use all your moves for free and not the beta Galaxy way where not only are you losing fsp just for being armourfied but moves have a cost as well. And totems... I really never liked them that much but i want people to turn into animals as well. The idea of giving people one spirit and one totem through miximax intrigues me. In fact, create NEW spirits and totems. You have to be doing something with all this time, right?

A meta will 100% exist. However, there comes the question of Roster Balance and System Balance. The game could theoretically have both, but it's highly, HIGHLY unlikely. Roster Balance is when the general pool of characters or tools in a game don't have too great of a difference in viability. System Balance is when the general pool of actions and strategies in a game don't have too great of a difference in viability. A game with Roster Balance but no System Balance is a game where there is one dominant strategy, but the majority of characters or tools in the game can be good at said strategy with enough skill or investment. A game with System Balance but no Roster Balance is a game where there absolutely are superior characters and tools, but these characters and tools that sit at the top do different things from each other instead of all being there because they can all do the one best thing.

As a pokemon competitive player I understand the meta argument but I think it's impossibile. If you have no meta or everything is meta then every player is the same, and every move is the same. At that point players lose their uniqueness and at that points what is the point to use Willy instead of Axel when they played the same

I can agree with all except keshins, just keshins, screw souls, miximax I like the designs for some but otherwise, not really gameplay wise since inazuma eleven 3 was my favourite game minus the recruit system with gachas and stuff But yeah, we do spam the same moves anyways XD Or was it just me

I like fighting spirits and Armoufy(this one more for the look haha), but it could be something like Strikers, they could be just normal techniques but Souls from Go Galaxy I HATE THEM, why turn into a animal for a move? Urgh

I TOTALLY AGREE with the fighting spirit. Because of that, i couldnt really enjoy the GO series. You would unleash your spirit and then basically won in the story. Even in postgame.

Maybe Keshin could appear like in Strikers: appearing during the special moves, but then they disappear afterwards. Besides, canonically, isn't keeping a Keshin active a huge energy drain? So using them for only special moves would make SENSE in that regard.

Why do people think keshins, miximax and souls are gonna be in the game? Did they go to Taco Bell to heard about Victory Road of Heroes and didn't even watch the trailer or read Level 5 blog? Again, those features are confirmed not to be in the game because the story takes place in Football Frontier Arc of the original series not after GO or after Orion.

Number 2 is so relatable. Everyone kept telling me Galaxy made things better with the coins instead of running out of friendship points. They were wrong, Galaxy was way worse for it, I’ve genuinely run out of most coins except red and gold

I see where you're coming from with the different game versions. I do not want to have to buy this game twice, secret link them when I've beaten the post game boss twice in both games and beat the mixture team for...clout, i guess? It doesn't seem to really do anything. But for number 4, actually not too sure about that. I mean, currently I'm beating Chrono Stone with Prodigy Grammar so...eh? But yeah, i wanna have fun with the online scene. But I won't understand if Willy is just as viable as Axel for some reason.

I personally disagree with 4, for someone who has always wished for some kind of way to play competitively to inazuma (and with online confirmed) not having a meta would be very dissapointing. It is obvius that having a meta of only 11 players is horrible, however in reality is very difficult to make a desing as bad as that without having the broken spirits and shit. If they manage to make the game have a solid 100-200 usable players it will be fine. Also for getting rid of monotony fixed sets of 4 moves is perfect. Going again for GO system would be really boring, limiting personalization and teambuilding

Imo, spirits, miximaxes and totems ruined the gameplay, made the games way to easy. If there was an option to turn them on and off would be great. The gameplay of IE3 was great.

I liked Spirits and armourfy but lowkey don't want them back, wouldn't mind mixi max. 100% agree with 1 version... i don't want to haveta pick a game based on characters and others again

Rare item drops i agree on like if team has 6 rewards take 6 matches in total to earn all rewards be better that way. Fighting spirits and armour fly was fun same as mixi max wouldnt bother me if there return. Bring friendship points in lose tokens and coins use 1 point system for player recruitment. Meta will always be there willy will never match bailong or tezcat or sol

i hope they will add evoking stuff but not as continuous things and rather just make them hissatsus also a general thing i want for the game is basicly making each character exist only once but they learn a lot of moves and maybe unlock moves under certain conditions (lets say aphrodite learns chaos break only after beating the fire dragon team from ie3 once) and then for every character of your team you can set a selection of like 6 moves to be active during a match

Well it seems like for the bond alley, the drops aren't rare items but rather just general drops that can be used for the different constellations. The different scouts are divided across constellations and u can use the constellation drops (or whatever they're called) for they're respective constellations in order to recruit the characters in them. So the rare item drops aren't really likely from what we've seen so far.
