I remember Inazuma Eleven as something cool and a lot of fun but the last time I played an Inazuma Eleven game was a very long time ago. In a time where I was younger and looked very differently at games than I do now.
So now that I collected all the games in the series it was time to refresh my mind on this series and to see after all this time if these games are still as I remember. The games might still work in today’s world of gaming but it could as easily be a blast from the past that doesn’t work and aged very badly. Or maybe the games weren’t so good to begin with. welp only one way to find out!

A very underrated franchise and jrpg. And has very good ost and one the best game/anime villains, Ray Dark 😎. Can't wait for the Great Road of Heroes game.

@GreiratEinzel 3 года назад
Yes its indeed very underrated which is really sad. The ost is definatly one of the best though not sure about the villain there^^; I do like him as the villain for Inazuma Eleven. oof the Great Road of Heroes game.... we can only hope that it will be released someday.

Ray Dark is honestly Inazuma Eleven's best-written villain. It sucks how after "died," the Inazuma Eleven villains that came afterward began to feel more underwhelming. A prime example is Zoolan Rice; he was hyped and built up near the endgame since he's the one that Ray Dark commanded the entire time. But he just ends up being such a letdown of a villain. Like, how can you start a world war through a *Soccer* Tournament? Zoolan barely even has a backstory to properly explain his motivations, either. In fact, he is basically the downfall of Inazuma eleven villains as a whole.

9:09 - 9:16 my only issue with this argument is there’s 11 players on the opposing team,its going to be nearly impossible to dodge every player without going into a command duel, and the whole thing about the goal keeper being the only player to worry about, that’s kinda how football normally works when you think about it 😅

I'm so glad to see more people enjoying Inazuma Eleven! I think you could've reviewed the Strikers series too whose gameplay I prefer, especially with the great personalisation of Hissatsus

I did a separate review on the first Strikers as I see that apart from the DS series.

I remember joining my schools football club when i was like 8 or something and being dissapointed it wasn't like Inazuma eleven, was a big fan as a kid, had the first game and the first season was sometimes run on CITV, i've got both versions of 2 and when i was around 13/14 got back into the show breifly, watching season 2 on the 3DS 'anime channel' app, and even more recently re-purcahses a version of 1, and gonna get hopefully all versions of 3 by the end of the year. I think a big reason it still appeals to me is because of how similar some of the gameplay and graphics feel to Dragon quest 9.

The game could've had like a custom character you can play as and personaly here is a short ranking IE 1: Slow but a mildly entertaining 1E 2: More entertaining, new loveable gimmicks but a little too much dialouge and sidequests IE 3: Better graphics, more places to go too, better story and lacks abit in the scouting system Ogre Attacks: Everything thing good I said before about the previous games but relies a little to hard on the special moves
@GreiratEinzel
@GreiratEinzel Год назад
It would have been fun to have a custom character but wouldn't call it necessary perse. Mostly agree with you ranking, I didnt mind the dialogue and sidequests as much in IE:2. I do think that the comment goes for all three games, they all rely heavily on the usage of special moves as that is part of the core gameplay. Thankfully your full team can learn them and be useful to you there something that in Inazuma GO is removed as the avatar/fighting spirits came in to play.

on one hand yes, would be cool to have a character represent the player in that universe. However I dont mind having this set in stone cast of characters. If you seek something similar to Inazuma Eleven but with a tint of Fifa you might want to try Captain Tsubasa if you havent yet. also love the Advance Wars trooper pf, cant wait for the reboot!!

I dunno how you feel about GO, but the second and third games in the GO trilogy, Galaxy and Chrono Stones are the peak of the Inazuma formula. It has certain snags, but the difficulty's well-done and it carries through, especially in the post-game.
@GreiratEinzel

Funny enough I finished GO Light last week, I am planning to go in more detail on my thoughts about that game. Bottom line is however that I am curious to see what the rest of the GO series has to offer cus despite my dislike of direction Inazuma Eleven GO Anime took the game did surprise me with its quality.

Thanks for the video, it's really awesome I mostly agree with your points, but it's funny listening to them while struggling with the post-game of IE1 lol I love this series from my heart ever since I've first seen the anime, but the gameplay truly is something else, I've always think the games were too easy as a child, but now playing the post-games and seeins the hackroms (like Crossfire) I regret thinking like that, the game is so deep and full of fun mechanics I love it... Just wish there where more documentations or calcs like pokemon Also the comparison to pokemon is funny as I really think it could've been something on that level if Level 5 really wanted but oh well Anyway, great video, love IE and love this discussion

The Go series is still on my list though I am always a bit hesitant when it comes to GO as I found the anime a bit disappointing and the direct it went with avatars and such was not really my taste. Still bit curious to see if the GO games gave a good twist to that concept so who knows, maybe in the near future I will finally play them.

Why do you care about video games history so much?
@GreiratEinzel
@GreiratEinzel 6 месяцев назад
oof for many reasons to be honest. the main one being that if we go down the history of gaming we not only find games that till this day are worth experiencing. But a lot could be learned from it as well as back than more risks where taken in design/creativity. todays industry plays it heavily safe when it comes to game design. Be it by following trends, pandering to certain large groups of people or repeating the same thing over and over again. granted that happened in the past as well but a lot less, back than it felt like devs where still exploring the limits, trying new things and stand out from one another. and that is what I enjoy of playin them and why I care and find the history interesting.
