I went to Six Flags New Orleans with my parents when I was younger- like 4 years old. I remember this "evil carnival" ride that was pretty dope- and I remember my older sister and I would constantly want to ride the 4D spongebob ride. I remember Katrina taking place when I was 5-6 years old. I'm 23 as of now. Almost 24. Watching footage of it abandoned is a little haunting just because some areas I can completely recognize and remember how it was before it was abandoned. Wild
StrangeBrews4Life lipold if you go to New Orleans it is not scary I live a hour away but I am still close to it I love New Orleans but most people that do not live in Louisiana say it wrong like he did
StrangeBrews4Life lipold i live in new orleans and its hella fun we got the best soul food than any other state and we have a pretty high population to say it’s a walking dead scene...POINT BLANK PERIODDDD🙄
We used to drive past the New Orleans Six Flags. I remember seeing it after Katrina, when the area was relatively less flooded. We would still pass by it for a couple years after. I was 7 when Katrina hit. I'd always wanted to go to park, but we never got the chance to
Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin it’s not a movie, it’s a video. Also, if someone doesn’t want to watch the full video, or is out of time, then this comment helps.

I have never gone to any abandoned parks, but I have gone to one of America's oldest amusment parks several times- Lakeside. It was opened in 1908 but it still is very lively and beautiful
Chernobyl abandoned park was put up in one day after the explosion to calm people down. Its still stands as a reminder of a sad day when lives was lost and changed forever. That one is my #1 creepy Abandoned amusement park. R.I.P to all those who died in 1986 Chernobyl explosion. 🌹❤💚💛🧡💜🖤

Takakanonuma Greenland was the first abandoned amusement park I got into (back when I was around 10) and it’s because of it that I got into urbex overall! Glad to see it on here!
In Australia our top 3 theme parks are 1.dreamworld 2.movieworld 3.sea world Dreamworld has the biggest drop in the world its called tower of terror it goes 139meters into the sky then just drops and now theres tower of terror 2 which is a rollercoaster that goes up the side of the first one
The biggest drop is at kottes bery farm it is called hang time I went on it I pass out but that amusement park it is not closed it has been there for a long time I live kottes and the other big drop is Supreme Scream I love that ride
I’ve been to joy land WHEN it was abandoned it was pretty scary in my eyes but when I went there I was with my best friends (mostly my crush who is a boy) when I got scared I always hugged him,he liked me to 1 like 6 percent he will like me
New Orleans native here. I grew up going to Six Flags NOLA as a kid. I have so many fond memories of the place, but my parents informed me that the park itself was actually really low quality. I imagine it wouldn’t have stayed open much longer if it didn’t get hit by Katrina.
From what I understand, Six Flags (the company) had a sort of redevelopment deal with the city. It was not a profitable park at all, but they were trapped in it for quite a few more years, Katrina gave them a very convenient out
I live in Mississippi, about 30 35 minutes from Slidell...and about an hour from the six flags theme park..I've been there twice when it was jazz land and once when 6 flags...each time I've passed it off the interstate it brings back so many memories along with the sadness seeing it so desolate and empty overgrown..you can see some of the roller coaster in the distance..but looks creepy..
