ha ha, I have to play with the angles because I have a scar from a dog bite a while ago that gets distracting on camera. Just another day on the RU-vid! I am glad you enjoyed the video!
I’m looking for a quality panther chameleon with all of the brightest colors. I know probably everyone wants that but I have been wanting a panther and I accept the change from veiled to panther. Challenge accepted.,
would it scare the hell out of my chameleon to drill holes in the bottom of his enclosure for drainage lol??? he doesn’t let me hold him so i can’t get him out but i really need drainage. cleaning out water every day is not fun
I'm curious as to what your opinion on the shot glass method for hydration would be? I don't personally do this but i've had a lot of people online tell me I ABSOLUTELY should try it, but i just feel like it is such a bacteria hazard. Not sure if you've addressed this before but i'd be really interested in your opinion on it.
is that tray not the same as having a regular bottom in the cage? from the looks of it all it would do is prevent water from getting onto the floor. (i use one lol) but just curious how it helps outside of that
The main purpose of a drainage tray is to keep the poop separated from puddles of water and the feeder insects that will walk through it and provide an unhygienic meal for the chameleon.
I have a restless adult Bifidus male import. He spends some time climbing restlessly and digging at the bottom of my bioactive exoterra 36x18x24. Eats to no end, I dont let him eat nearly what he would! I believe my Temps, humidity, hydration are in line. Owned him 1 month. I give some outside time. Anything come to mind? Thank you!
That is a small cage to bring a wild caught chameleon into and so it must be set up very well with dense plants to give him a sense of security. Could this be the issue? Does he have a place where he can easily and comfortably hide?
@@ChameleonAcademy thanks, I was afraid you'd say that. I used to have a much larger cage for some WC quads. It could be more lush, the plants were started over when I got him a month ago.
I recently upgraded my panther chameleon to a double wide xl. I cut the center and folded it over from one to the other to make a seam of sorts. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this channel. I caught another one of your videos last night that touched on automating the lights, fogger, and mister and I'm excited to do that next 🥰 Thank you for putting these videos out!
