I’d also put scouts in the conversation. Cheap bodies which can at minimum hold you back field objective always have a role

Good point. I will say I think Centurions could be a risky investment.. all first born kits are going to go bye bye, maybe as early as 11th edition.

Dude I felt the exact same way about the inceptors.. at first didn’t like their look at all, now I love them. I find a lot of models look better in person- repulsor tanks are another good example of this

With the rhino I’ve used it in firestorm full of devastators, then running it down the table tempting my oppo to shoot it to trigger the jump out and shoot Strat. It’s fun maybe not elite but I wanted to use it in a game.

Bladeguard honestly Id disagree, they can't cut even through bullgrin, they also can't deal with anything high toughness and easily get stat checked. only good against more base line infantry.

That’s because they need buffs to perform, with buffs - they become very good and rather cheap melee unit

I think their still okay in gladius with the Strat for +1 to wound and an extra AP but they are still serviceable as discount terminators in an impulsor imo

Defo not meta, but I love Sternguard. Easy access to dev wounds and benefit from huge array of leaders + detachments

Thanks. As a new player to 10th I'm interested in centurians as they look cool af. What transport options do they have? Any vehicles? Is uriel Ventris the only deep strike (aka way around their slowness)? If my company isnt rhe 3rd (which ventris is part of) does it matter if Ive not painted the units hes attached 2 with their green company accents? Sorry is noob question but i assume (due to their being diff colour schemes and iconography) you need your army to look like the thing its playing as. For example i couldn't just declare ny blue ultramarines as black templars for a game.

1) Any big transport- land raiders, repuslors and etc 2) They also get mobility from vanguard 3) No one will notice different companies within your Ultramarines. Looking as what you are playing is not a hard rule anymore, no one will criticize you. It will look slightly weird if you played Grimaldus and Helbrecht with blue Ultramarines, but anything less color mismatched is fine

Inceptors have been meta for awhile now. They're definitely hard to get in-store that I've learned, but I absolutely would not run a SM list with our them

@@vfminiatures 9th edition during the armor of contempt era was golden for these guys. I used the devastators along with an apothecary with heavy bolters and they took down anything. Lol I don’t blame you.
