My interview is tomorrow at 2 pm and I’m freaking out Update: I don’t think I got it... Update: I GOT IT!! Update ( 2 years later) : I quit wasn’t worth my time 😔
Theo Andersen I genuinely didn’t think that I would get it, since my friend had the interview on the same day and she got the job on the spot while the manager told me that she’ll give me a call next week about it 😭
Lawrence Gallegos I applied online and actually got an email back asking me if I had time for an interview on that day ! And it all worked out I can thank this video for a big part because I did actually get similar questions like this on the interview ! I hope you will get a reply back !
My interview was this morning and I got hired on the spot!!! The manager didn't even ask me all the questions she had planned thanks to this video. I START TRAINING SOON!! WOOOOO
I just got scheduled for an interview... it's in a week and I'm NERVOUS!! This video is a godsend! It's been a month since I interviewed and I just finished barista training :)
it seems like it’s good luck for everyone that comments here haha, I’m so nervous I got done with my interview and I hope I get the job 😭 ( update: after three interviews, the fourth once was a success and I got the job!!! Never give up if you really want the job!! Got the job on the spot :))
Interview tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 Edit: I got the job!! She asked me questions like times when I felt connected to a customer or just someone in general, how would you handle a situation with an upset customer, a time when you were able to teach someone a skill they didn’t already know, etc. things of that sort. It was fast and the environment was really calm and polite. I felt nervous going in but as soon as the interview started I felt very comfortable. The hiring manager was extremely sweet and welcoming.
i have my online interview on saturday for starbucks!! not my first job and plenty of work experience with customers but i’m still suuuper nervous 🥺 update!!! i got a trail shift after the first question!! thank you for this video, i smashed it!✨
violeta It went very well! I applied for a Starbucks that’s part of Target. The interview felt like a genuine conversation, and I was offered the position on the spot 🥳
I had an interview the other day with Starbucks and I got the job! Thank you your video really helped :) They asked a few questions that were covered here, on your general barista interview questions video, and some that weren't. Thank you so much :)
Alex S. it went good i think, i was interviewed by not the store manager but i think a shift leader or assistant store manager. she told me to wait abt a week and she wanted to schedule a second interview. still waiting for a call for the second one
got the job. they called and said they would like to hire me. got sent a background check a few seconds after phone call. happpened 2 days after second interview which was abt what the job entails
Just had an interview and I got offered a position on the spot and I’m just waiting on a background check. Be prepared for scenario-based questions because that was 95% of my interview. When is a time that you provided excellent customer service? When is a time that you received excellent customer service? Do you like coffee and why? Tell me about yourself. What’s your availability? If your trying to get a job I strongly recommend printing out a copy of your resume and handing it into the store directly on a Monday.
Killer Dog It went greaaaat! The Manager was so kind and friendly. He made me feel really confident. I got the job! Been working at Starbucks for 2 weeks now. I honestly love it.
Killer Dog He asked what jobs I’ve had before, customer service experience (which is OK if you don’t have), and he asked WHY I chose Starbucks. It was quick and easy. That was pretty much it. After that, he had me submit a background check and once it came back all good, I received a proper e-mail from Starbucks offering me the barista position.
Issa Nolann $9.20, but I live in Florida and minimum wage in Florida is $8.46, so I wasn’t all that mad at it. But if you work at Starbucks, I think your pay is gonna be over minimum wage anyway.
I recently got the job and the questions i got asked were something like: Introduce urself When or where was a time you got great customer service What would you do if a customer said they got the wrong drink What/when was a time a coworker did something wrong, what did u do How have you made a customer connection What excites you most about customers What was a time you suggested doing something different basically a lot of the STAR method aka the behavioral questions. Good luck to anyone interviewing!!! Availability makes a big difference
The Complete Guide to Everything it all went so fast i’m still trying to remember what they asked but from what i remember she asked the tell me about urself, why starbucks, when can i work, anytime where i had a bad experience with a co-worker, bad experience with a customer and that’s what i remember i’m low scared bc idk if it went so well but i’ll have to see if they get back to me
@@muddyw4ter omg hi so weird coming back to this comment now but yes i did i worked at starbucks for a year after but i don’t work there anymore though
LanaDelRey Stan what questions did they ask u ?? Give me three main big ones they are really looking for please ? Interview tomorrow so excited but so fucking nervous .
Okay, wow. This video is SO helpful, and I feel so much better about my preparation for my interview. It is a phone interview at 8:30, but it will be my first job and I am super nervous!! PLEASE wish me luck (: I'll keep y'all posted!
Interview tomorrow at 4pm for a new store that hasn’t opened yet. Getting nervous with all of these “recall a time when” questions because I’ve only ever worked with customers at a retail job for four months. I will be updating afterwards!
David Segovia I got a call back from the store manager a day after I applied online and we set up an interview for the following week. I believe they called me right away because they store had a sign that they were hiring.
i have an interview tomorrow at 12:30!!! im so nervous. i am preparing so entensively. ive never had a job before but i hope that these steps and the other research ive done will help. i will def update!! update I got hired on the spot and have been here for 2 months now. it is definitely a pretty hard job. but I really love the company and I love repping this brand. there is more help in the comments!
@@khadyjahtandia7055 they asked what my hours available are, a difficult situation ive been in and how i faced it, how i would treat an angry customer, why do i want to work at starbucks. i forget the other one but i used a lot of the tips from this video
I have an interview tomorrow I use to work for Starbucks but had to quit because of some unfortunate family problems and needed a refresher wish me luck!!!😭 Got the job(:
I have an interview of Friday and I am FREAKING OUT Ive never had a job before does anyone have any tips, I’m almost mortified to do the interview cause I have no experience, like I literally have no idea what to do
ugly girl ¿ bro I’m glad I came back to this comment cause I can say I was overreacting because I got hired on the spot and have been working there for about two months now, it’s wonderful but the job can be stressful, honestly just be honest the questions aren’t hard at all and if you luck out the person who interviews you will be super nice, I’m friends with basically all my coworkers now and I’m so glad to have them in my life
Bumble Bee aight question cuz my sister is a manager for store and said that saying you wanna learn is not a good thing to say. BUT I DO WANNA LEARN HOW TO BE A BARISTA so is that a bad answer or neh?
ugly girl ¿ I mean if you wanna learn I’d say it, you could phrase it like “I’m willing to learn all the skills necessary to be a barista” and make it seem like it’s something that you view as necessarily but honestly I really don’t think that’s a huge worry, or at least it wasn’t in my case
I aced my interview and got hired on the spot!!! Main questions that they asked: -introduce yourself? Brag about yourself!! List past experiences or situations that have you experience that would benefit you when Starbucks(president of clubs, past customer service job, sports teams, anything like that) brag about your good qualities: work well under pressure, fast learner, work well in a team -then they asked situational questions like, “name a time when you noticed something could be improved and how you went about implementing that?” I made up a situation about how I told my managers a way to better engage with customers and told the interviewer that they implemented a policy because of me(not true, but the interviewer doesn’t know that) -“how would you deal with an unsatisfied customer?” Listen to the customer, understand the problem, apologize, solve the problem, and after you solve it apologize thank the customer -“why do you want to work at Starbucks?” Say something about company values and how they math with your values, you love making drinks for people and making them leave happier than when they walked in. Read the Starbucks mission statement and talk about things that match with it. All in all, it was a very chill interview and only lasted 25ish minutes. Make sure to make conversation and seem like a happy and eager employee. You don’t need to talk forever, just have a positive attitude and show that you are willing to learn. **crucial things to consider/mention: Starbucks is a customer first kind of place and you need to show that you are capable of providing a great experience for the customer, it’s not just about making a drink it’s also about providing a good experience and making sure that they leave happier than they came in!!
It's been a very long time since I temporarily worked for Starbucks...have an interview today and this video was a great reminder on what to focus on. Thank you
my interview is tomorrow at 1pm i’m leaving school early just to prepare dress up & get there i met the manager today when she asked to see my resume and she was really nice and invited me for an interview. i’ll update on how it goes!
Got an interview tomorrow. Let's see how this goes. Edit: I didn't get it but this definitely helped a lot with some questions and I reccomend this vid.
My interview is tomorrow at 1pm, this was a really good video and ive taken a lot of notes down. Still though, i feel sick to my stomach. Im never good at interviews and always scared ill freeze up and not know what to say :(
Can u give me some advise plz. Im 13, looking for a job so i can make money i`ll be 14 next year in march and i dont wanna wait so long to get a job plz help me because i wanna start working soon this month if my mom lets me. Oh and btw i`ll be a freshman in 2020 if that helps.
Spades love yes definitely look for work early do not wait like I did I was terrified of people which made me not want to work for the longest time if you also have problems with people it’s going to be ok eventually you’re gonna have to deal with people so you might as well get used to it now, The interviews aren’t as bad as people make it seem I was expecting to go in there shaking but no just answer honestly you’ll be ok, try looking around for places that hire at 14 get ideas of what you would want to do, do research on the job such as looking up interview questions, employees reviews on working at that place, how much they pay and make sure wherever you choose make sure that’s where you want to work because you don’t want to be working somewhere that makes you miserable
@@spadeslove5373 You have to be a minimum of 16 years old to be a barista, I just applied on their website and it was listed as a question. I'm really sorry, however I believe Chick-Fil-A hires at 14, and maybe some other places too.
Yes call the store, say your calling for a follow up on your application. Also either remember the persons name or write it down (especially if the person you talked to was a assistant/manager) helps out later on when you do go in and talk with them.
actually! i know it common to call a store after applying but i had called one that i applied to and they actually told NOT to call. they told me that they don’t want you trying to focus attention on you when others are applying too. didn’t make a ton of sense but i guess they want your resume and application to speak alone.
joelle elizabeth wow . Lmao such a bitch ! ( talking about the person who told you that ) the one i called back then actually told me they love that because it means you’re really interested !
