@@emmacamilatorres5993 Hi Emma! I was asked four questions. 1. Give a time where you have made a mistake, and what steps would you take to rectify that. (I answered saying I have never made a mistake volunteering lol but if I did I would consult my team, apologize for my mistakes and asked what I could do in the future to prevent that.) 2. Give an example where you had to step up to the plate and take responsibility and jow that ultimately benefited you. 3. Its a busy Sunday. You are a cashier and the line is getting longer, the people are restless. What would you do? (I MESSED THIS ONE UP IMO but basically you wanna open another till to allow less traffic.) 4. Someone asks, "hey, store X has these bananas for cheap, why don't you?" (I said I would give myself an outing and tell them that I will gladly instead get someone else more knowledgeable to answer that question.) Hope this helps, and just remember to be yourself! The hiring manager told me that she immediately knew that she wanted to hire me because she loved who I was. It's a two way street conversation so relax, and give yourself time before answering the questions.
@@emmacamilatorres5993 Omg it's okay love, I was too! On the way to the interview, the only song I played was Money by Cardi B and trying to tell myself that you're a boss bish and that you're going to kill it but deep down I was extremely anxious. Tell yourself that you already got this in the bag, that it's their loss if they don't hire you (and it will be because pfft you ARE MORE THAN QUALIFIED.) Good luck
@@emmacamilatorres5993 Hey! Hope you got the job! How did the interview go? And what questions did they ask? I'm about to have mine in a few hours, and I'M PANICKINGGGGGGGG.
@@emmacamilatorres5993 It's all good! I got the job as soon as the interview ended, and I start training tomorrow! But damn, the interview was nerve wracking. She had asked me like 15 questions. Not only that, I had to do the interview in front of around 8 other employees!!!! They weren't watching or anything, fortunately, but they were probably listening, lol. Okay, so she asked me the following questions: 1. What can you tell me about retail stores? 2. How available are you? 3. Do you understand you're probably going to have to work holidays? 4. What are some signs a customer needs assistance? 5. What is good customer service to you? 6. What's your greatest strength? 7. Have you ever been in a situation where you had to deal with unhappy customers? And if so, how did you help them? 8. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I know there were more, but I can't remember them, sorry. Also, most of them were questions I hadn't seen before (even tho I did a lot of searching online), so I had to think of some answers on the spot. As long as you're calm during the interview and give yourself time to think of some answers, you'll totally nail it. Goodluck, man! You got this!!!
Just got back home from an interview for Safeway, think I did okay. Questions: Why do I want to work at Safeway, What is the best customer service I have ever received, What is the worst customer service I've ever received, and what I would do differently, What is one time that I had provided good customer service, and What was one time I had an upset customer and what did I do to placate them, and finally if I had any questions for them. Hope this helps! Good luck guys!
Thank you! He only asked one of these questions & that was “ why do you wanna work at Safeway” he loved the response but most of the questions were about working in a group and how would you go about that & explaining a time you had to work in a group! Also asking them questions! I asked the exact ones in the video he loved them! I got the job BTW😭
I have an interview tomorrow at Safeway, I'm 16 and I'm scared because this is my 4th interview since I failed my last 3. I am practicing and reflecting on my responses so hopefully I get the job.
@@4milk4life33 YES! I got the job at Safeway as a courtesy clerk. It was rough and long story short I only stayed there for 6 months. Your reply brought back memories lol
Update: sorry it took long to update but the Safeway I applied to didn’t have the best management .I applied two months ago and three weeks ago I decided to write my name on a “walk in sheet” as well as my information & age I didn’t receive a call so I called for the hr and she basically told me that she saw my application but ignored it because I was under 18 (16) and there wasn’t that many jobs for “minors”. But they hired older people to be courtesy clerks? Honestly didn’t mind it because I was offered a different job so yay! But good luck to thoose who are applying
