Drifting is terribly expensive and hard. good luck. your transmission and clutch wont have a good time, tires obviously, your whole engine at that, the body can take damage from going off track many times, flying pieces of rubber can rip off pieces off your body, around the wheels usually.

yes wangan midnight is another successful anime franchise like initial d its pretty good but its the opposite of initial d, they have race on straight roads rather than roads with sharp corners

The crazy thing is that you could call Wangan Midnight a documentation. It's crazy how close it is to reality. The Yoshida Special's 930 being black bird and the ABR S130 Z being the Devil Z just to name 2 examples. Also the tuners and the body Shop guy. There was this white countach in the Mid Night club crew that got wrecked on the track very badly and some mechanic made it like it never happened. That must be THIS guys real life example that did that. Also Initial D is close to Keiichi Tsuchiya's story i guess.

Sadly there has been no new adaption of racing anime. Theres this manga i've been reading called Mf Ghost and its a story much like Inital D, but this focuses on a different main character, the character is a student of takumi who grew up racing in a top racing school in England winning many throphies in karting, he came to japan to race. Short story he beats the living hell out other racer despite only using a GT86 when his up against modern sport/super cars like GTR,lambo,porsche. Spoiler. Takumi became a professional dirt rally racer in this story. :)

initial D is the best anime i had ever saw being a car enthusiasts. The Main character takumi fujiwara had and Trueno 16cam AE86, I eventually got used to driving and was welcomed in the world of car enthusiasts. Race by Race he got better and better, he joined the famous gunma racer's team, they were known as Takahashi brothers, ryiosuke takahashi, and keisuke takahashi, the team was named 'project D' , in which the word D has a deep meaning that i am not gonna spoil it. GO AND WATCH THE ANIME YOURSELF.

the AE86 trueno had a 1.6L litre, 16 valve Bluetop 4A-GEU DOHC engine which had exploded after A race which i am not gonna say for spoiler, so they chucked in a new a 1.6 litre, 20 valve Silvertop 4A-GEU (carbureted with dry sump oiling system in the manga).

My second Favourite anime is wangan midnight which i would recommend yall to watch. Its good too as the main character akio asakura bought a Datsun S30Z Fairlady which had the nick name ' Devil Z' . The cars engine was completely swapped from its stock 2.0L SOHC L20A straight-six to a highly modified L28 engine bored and stroked to 3.1L, has triple carburetors (presumably triple twin-barrel carbs as opposed to S30's standard twin carbs), a twin turbo with intercooler that eventually produced a healthy 600 hp. and again i am not gonna say alot i just said the engine specs and the basics x)

I know Initial D is more popular but Wangan Midnight is more of my Jam. A story about Pushing your car to go faster have more horse power the drive and determination of characters to enter the Wanagn at high speeds and to go even faster. Just like Jeremy Clarkson would say. *Speed and Power* And it is the Arcade game that everyone plays here.

If you haven't watched it yet..... Please I beg you to watch it. I just finished the anime and it took me 3 days.....heart wrenching it ended but the best few moments In my life. Truly an unforgettable anime. I don't know how I'll get over it now so wish me luck

@@bbcc8187 I thought it was impossible to get over that emptiness after you finishing watching the anime but the answer is :Time You'll get over it pretty soon, don't worry and hang in there! You could use this energy to find more about cars or the easy way is watch something you've never watched before like I watched nge after initial d so it helped me replace that feeling but instead of easing my mind nge killed me for another week. And then I watched your lie in April and anohana so there you go. Replace your feeling with something new
