I'm so surprised that no one has made awesome race movies like this except in real life with real cars. Fast n furious is so bad now, crazy there isn't more dedicated car movies tbh
It's not about going fast as long as you're under control.. When he really tried hard to continue his lead, his big Turbo Supra becomes unstable.. Then he realised that price maybe is his life and he decided to take it easy..
@Alex Rodriguez : The car is most stable when it is in straight line but he was filtering traffic while also cornering..Going flat-out under these conditions in your big Turbo Supra is really nerve wrecking..
@@bikerboy3k nah, every car needs its time, the gearbox, turbo settings, even the seats, you need to learn the car, feel it, it takes its time, to find out the limits of your machine.
@@ArashiOdayakana This. Especially if you race against an opponent so often, you know their movements because you're activity trying to counterattack them.
No, Kei didn't drift on purpose. Kei lost control of his 800HP Supra because he reminisced about his life and about his father's death. This Supra means a lot to him. That's why he almost spun out and slowed down to signify him giving up the race and decided not to die.
I swear to god i don't care if anyone is trolling but for fucks sake Wangan Midnight is not a knock off of Initial D. They are clearly two different styles of racing. Its like comparing every virtual reality anime to Sword Art Online. Just because Initial D is an automotive racing anime doesn't mean any upcoming or existing anime is a copy of it.
I love initial D but how does people call this a knock off, it's totally different. Different story, different content, different cars, different kind of race
Just like the race against Keisuke's RX-7 in Initial D, that Supra's tyres had to let go the longer the race went on. Weight is a hefty price to pay in races involving high speed acceleration, braking and plenty of effort when turning the wheel.
The body flexed and gave way, not the tires For context, Aizawa (the Supra driver)'s father died in a Mk.II Celica Supra and he was obsessed with chasing his father's shadow and legacy, hence him throwing all his money to buy and tune this JZA80 In a last bid attempt to get him to give up and move on, the tuners (all of whom knew his father back then) got together to make the car do 800hp for him to run the Wangan, but it would "die" (permanently damage its body/chassis) in the process. Aizawa came to a head when the chassis flexed and he started losing and fighting for control of the car He remembered that his friends have moved on with their lives (he lost his girlfriend to a friend, because she saw that he had no mind to a future beyond racing in that Supra), that he was the only one still racing. And his late father told him that he had to go be with his mother (indirectly also telling him to move on) He realised that he must live on, and not die in that JZA80. Hence he gave up After this race, the JZA80 was detuned to 400hp, since it would not hold 800hp anymore due to the chassis/body damage. The tuners also repainted it silver, the same color as his father's old Mk.II Celica Supra
Shit I got a built wrx and still don’t race anyone from a dig 😂 I ain’t tryna blow anything and it’s more impressive to lose someone in corners anyways
@@GloomGaiGar True, but it was the fault of a Bosozoku biker but still innocents were harmed and it was the Mid Night Club(sic) way to not continue racing if innocents get harmed.
@@melancholypuppy3595 I'm kinda old now grew up in the early eighties till now. So gotta say I was in Japan Golden Age of creativity in anime. Looking back sure the art looks sharper and more pretty but the industry lost it's soul I'd prefer the 80 90 era over the recycling of ideas today..
Cars used as GTA Online Personal Vehicles 1. Karin 190 z - nissan fairlady classic 2. Dinka Jester Classic - Toyota Supra MKIV 3. Annis Elegy Retro Custom - Nissan Skyline GTR 4. Pfister Comet Retro Custom - classic porsche
Who? Reina? She only had one. The grey R32 she had became white after being tuned by Yamamoto when she wanted to match both the Blackbird and Devil Z. The pink R33 was simply a demo car from RGO and she was asked to test the car for them as they knew she's one of the best GTR drivers on the Wangan that is still racing.
nah, the 964 turbo was a beast without any modifications, well, what i read, it was boosted to 800HP, and probably those would be enough to leave the supra sitting back without problems, if you consider the weight, and transforming even more torque to the rear, nah, no chance.
interesting. i played WMMT but kei was still under control at the end of the video (yep that's just under 1km away from finish line). i never seen him doing sick drift on my back mirror :/
That white smoke is the excess oil its burning for lubrication and cooling thats why the car needs to be prepared well for that power and improve and adjust the things as much as you can
