Most of them exist in Indonesia😊 Have tried all of them. Love them all. Longan comes from China.. but now is propagated too in Indonesia. In Indonesian, 1. Sapodilla is known as Sawo 2. Egg fruit is known as Alkesa or Sawo Mentega 3. Longan is known as Lengkeng 4. Durian, as always Durian 5. Cempedak is Cempedak. Additional sweet fruit is Jackfruit, the sibling of Cempedak as well as Sukun (Breadfruit).
These fruits are common in Southeast Asia. If you are not from these places, you won't know what these fruits are. But in the Philippines, these are so common😊
In India(Tamil) we have higher place for trifruits Ma(Mango) Pa(Pazha or Jackfruit) Va(Banana). Though all fruits are great on their very own, whatever nature gives you seasonally never miss them.

Sapodilla is also available in India, Maharashtra it's called "chikku" a cute name in my opinion!, Also it's available in many parts of India not just Maharashtra! Dates are the sweetest fruit. Sapodilla are sweet but also have hints of bitter & bland like water. The egg fruits doesn't have consistency like a chalk but rather like brittle gum that will stick to your gum.
I had the pleasure of trying egg fruit a few months ago- it's very similar to persimmon in my opinion. Has a similar taste, plus that astringent mouth feel. It was definitely super good!!!

We had a few centuries old sapadilla tree in my parent’s home. I miss it. It’s the most fulfilling fruit you can have and the tree branches are so amazingly strong and you could climb and eat as much you like without a sweat.
It’s true, sawo (the first fruit) it’s sooo sweet and juicy, sometimes it taste kinda bitter when still raw and a little bit hard but it is delicious.. maybe for people who don’t like sweet, eating 1 sawo is enough 😂

Crunchy and tasteless. My gf owns an Asian food store so she orders fresh durian regularly. It sells out very fast, usually in 1-2 days.
I was born and raised in India. Now I stay in Germany. You took me to childhood. We use to pluck fruits from trees and eat fresh. We don't get these fruits here in Germany. I absolutely miss them. My favourites were Sapota, Custard apple, jackfruit, lichi, Pomelo fruit, palm and obviously ripe mango.
Longan in my country is called "buah mata kucing" if you translate it LITERALLY, it means "cat eye fruit"😭😭 As an asian, I'm very proud. My fav is cempedak. If you make it into "kuih" it's so delicious. The texture is like cheese
Dear people from south asia, Jackfruit and Cempedak are 2 different species of fruit, but still related since the two fruit are sill on the same family. Compared to jackfruit, Cempedak is sweeter and taste like pure sugar. It's fruit also softer and have stronger aroma. Unlike jackfruit where the resin could stick to your hand, no resin will stick to your hand when you open cempedak. But, it's smell will last for days on your hand Note: your peepee or veevee will smell like cempedak for days after you eat it
Cempedak sounds like heaven fruit to me! I always thought jackfruit is the king but if there's a fruit sweeter and smellier than that then it is the king out there and I only wish to taste it one day.

I'm also sure if you given two picture, one is jack fruit and the other is cempedak, you would still possibly guess it wrong. The two looks almost similiar, but there's one default thing on both that distinguish the two, that can easily tell which is which Jackfruit will always have the shape of a bulb, while cempedak will always have the shape of a sausage

The different between Jackfruit and cempedak is Jackfruit Non seosonal fruits Like papaya ,banana and etc. But cempedak seosonal fruits Like durian rambutan, manggoestin and etc.
note: cempedak isnt jackfruit, it is kinda like a branch from the same family of jackfruit and durian. it is however a lot more creamier and sweeter than jackfruit and is much bigger
Try to freeze cempedak for 2 - 3 days then take it out.Let it reheat it self but make sure it's still cold and edible. You will be amazed of the fruit texture

actually cempedak is different from jackfruit. they look very similar but in terms of taste & texture they are very different. cempedak is softer & way sweeter. jackfruit is more crunchy
@@NadhyKen but at the north state of Malaysia we also called it Sawo fruit or Sawa fruit, or maybe because my dad bring the seed back from Indonesia and the name just stick to it in my family 😅
