The top 5 essential synth drum sounds to have readilly accessible on your electronic/accoustic hybrid drum kit if you play in a pop cover band OR if you are planning on joining or forming a pop cover band
I use the Roland SPD 30 Octapad as part of my Yamaha Maple kit to demonstrate these 5 essential sounds. If you don't have an octapad or something similar, you can use a couple of pads with a brain and strategically position them where it's easy to play them and easy to navaigate the sounds.
Choosing the right drum synth sounds to cover 6 decades of pop tunes is a tough process. This video will help you start off with the top 5 as your go to sounds, and then you build off of that.
