Japan guide is really giving some fantastic videos about Japan..it's very helpful.. Everytime I watch your video guide about Japan it makes me feel I want to visit Japan...will definitely visit one day...love Japan from India 😘😘😘
Andrew Marston I love your work. I'm very happy that you are making these videos for Japan Guide because that's my favorite site about Japan. I planned my whole trip in 2016 based on informations from this site.
@@frempy4426 Loved it! Took me completely by surprise - such a lively, fun city with so much going on. Videos all in a playlist here: ru-vid.com/group/PL-YXkErUfa4lp0DI-_t1QYvG-20ToUNoJ
Nanba district with Shinsekai and Dotonbori was my favorite in whole Osaka. As well as it was my second favorite city in Japan after Kyoto, followed by Tokyo.
Dotonbori, especially the Glico Running Man ad is featured in one of my favorite movies ever, Black Rain (1989), directed by Ridley Scott, and is in fact one of his earliest movies and definitely one of his most underrated. :)
Osaka is a very big city with a very nice ambiance ! 🏙😃 This city assembles amazingly and wonderfully the modern and traditional patrimony. 😯🙌🏻 Moreover, Osaka offers a large number of funny activities for everybody like the impressive Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. 🐋🦀🤗 By the way, I finally found the places that I've always dreamed about when thinking about Japan : Dotonbori and Shinsekai. 😀 Both places have such a heartwarming ambiance through the people and the light show emerging from the neon signs, paper lanterns and restaurants. ☺ Thank you very much for having presented Osaka ! 🙏🏻
I spent two weeks in Japan during cherry blossom this year and your website helped me so much. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to return again next year. For your next video could you do Kamakura or Nara? Both are fantastic.
Very nice video ....informative and to the point. While Osaka Station is impressive ( I visited Japan , Osaka in particular twice last year), in my experience if you visit Japan you will spend PLENTY enough time schlepping through massive busy train stations and most likely will not find the need to see another .....just a thought.
Just came back from Kyoto and Osaka....both are amazing. Also booked another flight to Osaka again this Christmas haha there are just so many places to visit in both places that you have to go back again and again :)
Thank you for the extremely helpful video Andrew! I agree with everything! The Umeda Sky Building is a definite must visit - one of the nicest observatory that I have visited. I would highly recommend investing in the Osaka Amazing Pass. Free admission the umeda sky building is included. Also, the HEP five ferris wheel is a short walk away and is also nice too. The ride wasnt as long as I hope but the experience is a must and is included in the osaka amazing pass! Last but not least, Dotonbori can not be missed. It is the heart of japan food culutre! Lots of venders tempted me to emptied my pocket and pigged out.
Oh, I remember the "old" Osaka Station. It was dirty and disgusting and unnecessarily confusing. It's much nicer now. They just need to get more trains or figure out how to better manage the crowds along the Tokaido Line, particularly those running towards Kyoto/Maibara. It just keeps getting more and more crowded year after year...
This video has convinced me to go visit Osaka on my trip to Japan! Can't wait to taste all that delicious food! I'm gonna check out the other videos as well before I go :D
@Toxic Nerd Honestly, I can't be bothered. I've been to Japan three times by now, and I was living the dream, even studied their for a semester. I hope you find even a glimpse of the happiness I experienced, so you can stop posting sad and unnecessary replies to harmless comments that triggered you for some reason lmao. Have a good day, nerdy.
Having just cancelled my trip to Osaka (again... sight), this video felt like such a tease. Still, gives me more opportunities to add more items to my ever-growing itinerary! Thank you. :)
大阪人としてお礼申し上げます。個人的には天神橋筋商店街をおすすめします。メイン通りは勿論、そこから路地に入っていけば別世界があっちこっちに。 I give thanks as a person from Osaka. I recommend Tenjinbashi line mall personally. If, let alone a main street, go into the alley from there; another world in many places.
Is it my eyes or is it really that the places in Osaka look like painting? They look absolutely wonderful and hard to believe that such places do exist. Arigato Gozaimasu for this one 🙏 🙇
I was in Namba last year 😂😂😂 Pro tip: Never go there late at night. Finding a place for dining was a pain in the *s 😂😂😂 And we were backpackers, not looking for any shiny restaurant. Beside that, everything was fun & fun only.
Of course taxis are always an option, but most likely trains will get you where you want to go in the city. Here is a video we made about how to get to Osaka from Kansai International Airport: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A3Uq7gCJ0bs.html
A good pick indeed! The famous bridge there can actually be seen at 0:14 of the video. Choosing only 5 things for Osaka was quite diificult. Sumiyoshi Taisha was definitely on the list for consideration and is certainly a worthwhile location. Thanks for the recommendation!
Sendai is a smaller city, but still has a lot to offer. Also from Sendai it's easy to take side trips around the Tohoku region. If you're interested, here is more information on Sendai: www.japan-guide.com/e/e5150.html
Osaka Station. In 2011 it was re-opened after undergoing significant renovations. Now it is quite nice. Here is more info: www.japan-guide.com/e/e4020.html
LOL After watch this I thought my recommendation for Osaka if this is your first trip to japan and already have Tokyo in your itinerary would be .... just skip Osaka and spend more time in Kyoto or Himeji (for it's castle)
So looks like the Top 5 things are. Aquarium, you can do this anywhere in the world. Boring Shops, ok, so you can shop anywhere in the world, Boring Station, Looks like any international station, Boring Castle, does look interesting, worth seeing Shopping, again you can do this anywhere. You have NOT convinced me to visit Osaka. Looks boring according to these top 5.
