I love printing my manuscript when I edit. I personally hate reading a screen so printing it definitely motivates me to edit

Mandi Lynn Agreed! And seeing 300 printed pages versus a word document makes me realize just how much work I put into the draft. Feels so good to see!

This was the first video I've watched that gave practical steps on editing. Most of them just go through WHAT needs to be edited but not HOW to edit. Thank you so much for this video!

Hi Monica! I'm so glad that you found this video so useful. I'm in the editing stages currently, so you can expect to see a lot more content regarding this topic in the months to come :)

Editing is such a grueling process. It took me TWO YEARS to edit my second novel. It was such a mission but SO worth it when I finally held the final copy in my hands. Now, years later, I want to edit it all over again hahaha!! Thanks for the tips Natalia, you always inspire me to crack on with my writing.

Two years?! Way to go for sticking it out and seeing it through to the end! I'm so glad my videos help to inspire you. How is your writing going? :)

I've been working on my editing for almost a year now! I'm getting towards what I think is the end of my editing process and will hopefully be querying by August!

I finished a manuscript back in February and I took a one month break to write the sequel during Camp NaNoWriMo, but now I'm coming back to edit the first book. This video was really helpful!

Is it possible you can create a video about beta readers, where/ how you find them, how you pick them, etc? In love with your videos and your style❤. I sit down with my mom and watch your video's more often then not so it can help with our creativity and get us pumped for our writing sessions to come! Much love❤❤❤❤❤💕

Wonderful advice! But you know, I NEVER edit my work. I mean, I'm the kinda person who will go over everything to look for typos and whatnot. But the thought of removing chunks or sections of my story...I don't get that part of writing? It's like when I write something, the first time--from chapter to chapter or even sentence to sentence, I REALLY try to nail it out the gate. Now what this means, is that it WILL take me FOREVER to write something. But I don't mind being patient. What would be so much WORSE, would be taking stuff out and pretty much having to start all over again with something else.

Hello Winn! That's so interesting - that method wouldn't ever work for me. If I was trying to get everything right the first time around I'd probably be so stressed out and aiming for such perfection that I couldn't ever put a word down. I'm glad to hear that that works for you though! :D

Thanks for your reply! And I need to LEARN how to plan my story. Maybe even learn how to compose an outline. Because WHO'S got FOREVER to write anything??? Great video and AGAIN thanks for your reply and THANKS for your videos!!!
