Very true in the branching out of just one brand. All I used to buy was Jordan/Nike and a few Adidas. I gave New Balance and Asics a try recently and my goodness do I feel like I missed out on them. They are more available, more affordable, and more comfortable. I wished I tried out new balance sooner!

I got two of my nieces a pair of satin breeds and a pair of pralines in women’s size from the Brooklyn at $110 a pair for Christmas. I can now do nothing wrong! Plus I took your advice and bought the 25th anniversary air maxes got them for 138 thanks for the deal.

Top 5 videos please! I think it’s great content and easy to consume since it’s just a top 5. I agree with you on these points, I’ve been trying to move away from buying every pair that I like and trying to find styles, silhouettes, or colorways that I don’t have in my collection. I’d have to say the only silhouette I went crazy on in 2023 was the air ship but it cant be helped given the quality, aesthetic, and price point! It’s just a great shoe and the colorways are hard to pass up on for me 😅

Couldn't agree more with all of this! Stick with a budget, buy what you like/what fills gaps in your collection, and check out other brands. I finally got my first pair of Saucony retros last year and was really surprised how much I love them.

I only really buy "risky" shoes if - simply - they are comfortable. Forget resale, forget looks/hype/style...if they feel good on feet, then you always have real value in them.

Also don’t buy shoes just because they are on sale, I’ve purchased sale shoes and talked myself into how I’d wear them..then they don’t get worn, I could have taken that money for something I know I’ll wear

1:34 this is very key. Too many people are trying to keep up with content creators/influencers. Going into massive debt to get all the shoes they are getting. These creators/influencers get free products and get paid for this. You, the average person, don’t. So spend wisely. Budget and spend on important things first. Then if you have any leftovers, I personally say invest or save, but if not then okay buy some sneakers here and there. Happy new year!!

Hello from Eugene Oregon, home of Nike. I have to budget myself, been fortunate to pick and choose what I would like. For example, I waited on the CPFM Flea 2, passed on it and went for the A Ma Manieres and purchased the Dusk and Dawns, straight 🔥. Happy with that choice. My golf Air Max and Jordan line are clean too. Thank you for the video. NEW SUB!!

I counter your #1 point as an issue that can affect #5. The more variety you try also means more shoes being purchased and money being spent. I found that with NB I’m able to get tons of variety, style, quality, and comfort, and it allows me to keep my collection smaller. I can appreciate other shoes and brands, but I do so from afar without owning everything. If I have 100+ kicks, I’m not wearing some very often at all, and that’s a shame.

Good point. Ever since I added two pairs of 990vX to my rotation. I've worn less dunks and Jordan 1s. Been slowly selling pairs that been sitting in my closet since then

Typical mesh fabric running sneakers like from Hoka or Saucony which have a good amount of elasticity I'd get true to size. Air Jordans and others that have faux leather/leather which have minimal stretch I'd recommend half a size bigger is best. So if you're a 9.5 on a Hoka get a 10 on an Air Jordan.

This is the best info for the sneaker community. I see a lot of kids getting credit cards racking up high apr cards and eventually falling out of payments, putting them at financial risk in the long term.

Hope you only copped heaters that you will wear and enjoy. Respect! I’ve watched videos where Florida squatters have tons of pairs of shoes. The reality creeps in that you only have so much money and hoarding is real. I hope sellers are able to fulfil their financial goals but I could never be a reseller in this current climate. Save that 💸💰🤑

Great video but top tip for people size 15 and above is to not buy from resellers. They target the lower stock numbers and availability of our sizes and the prices on Stock X are proof of this abuse. Fight the urge and just wait for the next extended size release. Breaking the cycle will result in more retail W’s for us all.

I'm not a hypebeast necessarily, it kind of started with wanting something comfortable for my job where I'm walking, standing, lifting and pulling alot.When you're younger it's all about looks, now in my 30's I'm more interested in comfort but still want the look at the same time, and I'm sure when I'm even older I'll want just straight comfort and won't care about looks😢, but with flat wide feet it's a struggle and I'm constantly looking and I find it annoying, a challenge and fun all at the same time.Having shoes for every occasion is nice(training, walking, running, hiking, rain/snow)wish i could find an all-in-one for my wallets sake😂

Americans often say that EU sizes are the same in male and female sizes. Its not. My true male size is EU 42.5 but if it's the female size, I need the 42 😂

Jordan 1's Dunks are overhyped and are not very comfortable the soles are the worst feel cheap . That is all you see now at Footlocker Champs Finish Line it's crazy to say the least . A ton of colors at this point is pointless unless you have it like that . Personally even if I did I'd def go with shoes that are 1st of all comfortable . It's not always about the hype but personal preference .
