+Victavious 1 thanks bro I appreciate it. This came out of necessity when I maxed out my thousand to the left and I started having to store them onto my characters and then realized I should be doing this from the beginning since I can sync them up to swgoh. GG
Thanks Warrior . For the first 4 months , i played the game without a plan . Since i started watching your videos , i'm more more focus on what to do and i'm enjoying this game more and more every day ! Good idea for mods storing . A new trick i will start using.
You mentioned the keep a bank of 4m tip on Jedi academy. I know it sounds obvious but at the time I had just started focussing on mods and hadn't realised the importance of the mod shop. Thanks to you I now have a couple of beautiful potency mods with lots of speed on my Boba Fett. Cheers Warrior :)
I see you're only 2 raids away from a 7* Kenobi, that's awesome! Also, thanks for this guide, I know this will help out lots of player old or new for sure.
Hey my man Warrior! I completely agree with your opinion of breaking up the farming into chunks. been playing for over a year and I seem to have better results farming everything that way. it isn't guaranteed but I like it. that being said I've farmed mods nonstop for 2 weeks and haven't had 1 decent mod drop. any word on mod packs from the store coming back?
Warrior your tutorials are very helpful thank you for taking the time to do them. Also I have a question if thats ok. Do you know when the rogue one squad will be farmable? I have them all but they are just sitting at the star that they came at and I really like their potential. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.
I don't have the characters to access all the mod battles or challenges. I normally just go into mod shipments and buy whatever mods have protection available for credits.
Question: I know for the arrow (Health Receiver) mod, you said only use speed, crit avoid, or accuracy as a primary. So if you got said mod is Offense, BUT has a speed and health secondary stat, would you still sell it? Or would you use it on a toon that you don't use except in special situations?
Great info as always. Does every alley have a crit chance or critical hit? if not, what's the best toons to apply crit chance n crit damage? Does potency work for alley buffs like they work for enemy debuffs? ie... Royal guard def or other offense up buffs.
Warrior from Team Instinct very much so. it obviously slowed down farming of shards. but I have a great many mods I never had before. I used energy to farm wedge (which I just finished) and the cantina credits to get fives (also just completed) I'm thinking once I get poe done I'll shift a bit more energy to farming shards and less to mods. But overall it's worked well for me. and as a totally ftp guy it's helped me finally get inside the top 500 in ship battles and arena. meager goals I know. But I didn't do very much with this game at the beginning due to me running 5 accounts in swfc as well as commanding a flagship and overseeing 3 others. but now I am playing this game full time. I know u only review patron accounts but feel free to take a look at mine and see what you think. (no reply is necessary if you choose to). But again yes this method has served me well to date. Thanx for replying. Grimm
Doing something similar but splitting it about 50/50 between mods an shards. Pretty sure the RNG personally hates me. Got 4 speed secondaries in the last week. A gold crit damg square where the speed secondary never got boosted while upgrading. Then 3 crit damg circles but with health primaries instead of protection
I have spent the last three months mod farming and have not received a single speed primary arrow, whats up with that lol and I even only sim a few at once and rng is still against me I guess.
Once ive assigned the mods to random lvl 50 characters and synced them on swgoh.gg, how do i know if a particular mod is that great of a mod? There are some rankings i see on certain mods but im still quite confused
+EJ Santos it will take time to get to know what's a good mod but basically anything that has speed secondaries is good. I have a couple other mod videos you probably should watch that will help you
I wonder if your recommendations is for Lvl 80+ players or not. You get no fleet currency in mod challenges, and unless you have an awesome team, you won't be able to hit the Tier III mods. I have a mix of 7* and 6* rebels (Wedge, Briggs (only 7*), Lando, Ackbar and STH) and still can't get them to beat Tier III Tenacity Challenge at 76. Also, I can't hit Gear 9 because I'm starving for raid specials, and focusing on mods at Gear 8 prevents me from topping the stars for the Raids. Should your strategy play after you are Lvl 80 and have a couple of 7* Raid teams or do you still believe that it should be used at lower levels?
If I can farm Health, Defense and Tenacity, which should I farm? Could you post a ranking of mod types? I understand that each might have different needs, but at least a video regarding the good trade offs, would be great. Personally I would assume a mix of health for healers and defense for the rest. At least until I can for Potency, Critical Chance/Damage or Speed.
I am currently farming Rebels (7* Biggs and Luke, 5* Ackbar, Wedge and Leia), and Jedi (7* Consular, 6* Windu, 5* Unduli and Ahsoka, and 0*, but farming Plo). I am getting Leia, Windu, and Ackbar in the Squad store, Unduli in GW store, Plo and Pathfinder in Cantina nodes, Plo and Wedge in Fleet store, and Ashoka in Catina store. Is that a good plan? I'm currently getting 400 Squad Currency, and 1000 Fleet Currency every day.
+Robbie Rotten sounds like you have it all mapped out and Jedi and rebels of the first two teams you should probably do. Although I would definitely probably do Lando and switch that out for Luke
At what point is it worth to begin farming those mods for the "third of time"? What I mean is if I don't have Wedge and/or TFP at 7 stars yet, should I finish farming those top level important characters first?
I've actually found this idea useful,I used this method for farming gears also and the payout is always better!E.g. if you SIM 6 battles twice it drops better equipment compared to 12battles at once. For me it works out cool.
If this "works for you" and makes you feel better about your use of Cantina Energy, then by all means use this method. However, for people who want to apply a little bit of critical thought to how the game works, be aware that there is no statistical basis for this, and that it in fact defies logic and the basic principles of programming. If you choose to believe this helps you despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, please go ahead, but don't disparage us in our attempts to help people with a little more rational thought save their time.
Densil Grant the thing is it doesn't really seem to be random. When I farm for gear there will be 3 times where I get something and 3 times where all I get are xp and training droids
+Thatgood Nutt From my experience and I know it's not a guaranteed thing, depending on the battle I always get a better drop,I'll give you an example,I would farm six, 8energy cost battles and get 5-8shards for lando, total of 48energy,now if I did 5 ,12energy cost total 60energy, no drop.Just today I used a hundred energy 50/50 and got 8 high end gears to add to my gear 11 toon.So I've mapped out certain missions to spend 50,60 or a hundred to get the best drop rates
Hey Warrior, what about getting 5 dot mods to drop in the mod store. I have 3 star the health, potency and critical damage challenges. I heard that you have to 3 star the defense and health challenge to get 5 dot to drop in the store. Is that correct? I would have to stop mod farming for a bit to work on a few Jedi if that is the case...
Jeremy - that is correct. If you're struggling to get the challenges completed it would be good to pull your best mods off your best toons and put them on your jedi. This will cost a chunk of credits but will help you from farming your jedi too high or for too long.
That's how I got the potency challenge done. I just need to get Asoka to 5* to try. Just wanted to make sure since I haven't invested in Jedi other than QGJ.
Hello warrior, noob question, why did u sell all those 5 dot mods ? arent they useful since they are 5 dot mods ? or are u telling to go for speed as a secondary specifically, i know speed is important but still didnt understood the selling of mods part :( sorry still pretty much new to the game to understand it fully :)
+Akki1610 if I were you I wouldn't be selling those. But for me I'm picky because I have so many good mods the white colored ones are just a trash unless they have speed primary
I'm always around rank 400 to 600 in the arena atm, i am lacking good mods and some good heroes, but atm i am doing like 7 heroes from all the different parts that its difficult to get good stuff, plus not completing GW is making me crazy :( Any tips on how to do that ? here is the link to my profile if u can help :) swgoh.gg/u/akki1610/
Again: that is just confirmation bias. Randomness is randomness. To evidence this, Warrior said the exact opposite in his shard farming video. Not saying you aren't allowed to do things however you see fit, but telling people this is statistically better is just wrong information.
Read the comments looking for someone saying the same thing to themselves. The RNG rolls for every mod you pull whether you sim it all at once or one at a time. Gear is the same way so why would mods operate any differently?
+Vohbo Vohborian you ate all wrong.... rng is random i understand that.... but if you roll once it can be good or bad.... one or the other not both. If you roll more times you gice yourself more chances for the rng to roll good. Think of it this way if you have dice and you want to roll a 7 you could roll it one time and get the seven you're looking for or not period but we all know if you get to roll those dice 7 times the statistical odds of you getting that desired 7 goes up. This is a fact which is why Vegas doesn't let you roll more than a set number of retries in certain games because they know statistically it will eventually pop up. It's about attempts period if you limit yourself to one you're only giving yourself a single attempt. You want to give yourself many attempts when dealing with a random numbers generator so that way you have an opportunity to increase the odds of a good drop.
3. Always keep 5 mill. ends video on 750k. that cheered me up. great video as usual. I've always wondered about the RNG of summing smaller amounts. Does anyone have any data to back this up?
the problem with that logic is that youre also giving yourself more chances to have bad luck. for example you can flip a coin once and get heads, then flip it 10 times and get tails every time. on average, the result will be the same as a single flip: 50/50. sure you could get lucky and get more heads over 10 flips than tails, but you also risk the opposite. not really worth the extra time. aside from that, the dev said that every roll is handled independently, so in reality its flipping the coin x number of times yourself, or doing it automatically. same exact result in either case, with that methodology.
experienced lvl 85 player, #1 in arena, have all mod challenges except offence complete. been mod farming for 1 month solid and no speed arrows or crit damage triangles. beginning to think there's some sort of conspiracy
Warrior from Team Instinct yeah, i normally do 8 battles, 7 battles then 7 battles every day. That's a lot of farming over a month not to get any speed or crit primary and hardly any speed secondaries
+Patrick Gallagher the more potency your character has the more likely he is to apply a detrimental effect tenacity is the opposite the more tenacity your character has the less likely an opponent will be able to apply a detrimental effect to your character
ok thanks, what does " detrimental effect" mean. Is that a debuff like stun or something. (thanks again love the vids I learn so much) PS. Im the worst lvl 72 ever
I had beat all of the health challenge and just went and did the 1st star of the defense challenge. Then i got an in game email saying if i beat the 2nd star on both Health and Defense i would start seeing 5 pip mods. Thanks for the replies to all this.
It ABSOLUTELY kills me that on that first roll you showed you got a 5-dot speed arrow - like I have spent a month on farming nothing but mods and no speed arrow - fml
+dbzmaster1213 yeah I get nearly one speed mod every day. Sometimes the speed will roll and sometimes it won't but that was the first speed Arrow I had got in like 2 weeks
Warrior from Team Instinct Dang.. I haven't even started on Mod challenges yet because my team isn't up to par to continue the Mod battles to 3A. But, I am currently working on Biggs & Ackbar , Lando , prob is the Wedges shards only pops seldomly in store.
Warrior from Team Instinct yeah i do that but i don't get Speed secondary, that's the problem it is so rare and the only 3 or 4 Speed which is obviously not enough
aparently after i completed the defence one (until tier 2) i recieved 2 messages ingame, one said that for completing tier 1 of health and defence o gpt 4 shard mods, and to beat tier 2(each i did-) basicly you need to beat defence mod battle and health for it to unlock in the mod store(the 5* mods)
