According to American college of obstetrician and gynecology, VBACs (vaginal birth after Cesarean section) can have success rates of around 60 to 80%. In reality, the most important thing the patient, can do to affect the outcome is to choose a provider who is experienced with VBACs and a hospital that supports the practice. An OB who is more experienced with VBACs is more likely to be comfortable with waiting a bit longer for things to proceed instead of quickly turning to a repeat C-section.
