I used to read everything, until it got too tiring when all they do is link summon for 5 minutes straight on turn 1 every single game. Not to mention how every card has an entire paragraph
@@kylelu8106 exactly. We don’t read. True yugioh players blindly believe their opponents and learn what cards do by watching them. It’s an honor system .
This isn't true at all. We attack into a monster that literally says in bold letters *"THIS MONSTER DESTROYS ANY MONSTER THAT ATTACKS IT"* and then get upset and read the card.
Even going first fluffals can set up a whale in hand, scythe, apo, and toad. It's a pretty scary board to deal with, and then you get to smack down an otk for fun
@@TonioDino My start is usually frightfur tiger to clear the board, then if all goes well frightfur fusion to bring out wolf and otk If I’m going first tho I usually just summon nightmary. It’s amazing how many people don’t read it’s effect XD
That’s called legally cheating once per turn is not a double meaning word don’t put it on the card if its “soft” since if you have multiple copies of it it then becomes irrelevant to even bother with it being once per turn it becomes one per card activation
@@kingjabs7567 i mean it's a continuous spell so they put once per turn on the effect so it can't be spammed, you would need another copy. It makes sense
@@vincefromdowntown1622 yeah I get that however I’ve been in duels where the toy vendor card doesn’t need another copy because the once per turn is soft and it can be activated again even if its the same caed
Rokket Raidraptor main here. You want an ftk deck? Doesn't get much better than arsenal falcon + PKRUM Launch pass. Seriously. Kali Yuga is insane. Going second? Literally any 2 level fours in this deck make raiders knight into arc for an easy otk. Just pray your opponent doesn't have nibiru.
As someone whose favorite archetype is Unchained, I can agree. Unchained is **very** underrated. It's definitely a worthy meta-buster/anti-meta deck to play and it's by far the most consistent and fun archetype I've ever played in my life.
@@Shadow8332 its not bricky so much as it can't extend far enough for Links to not shit in its lunchbox. Can usually get a lot popping off but it doesn't matter when the non targeting effect worth playing flips face down, which Links won't do.
I would say spyrals since despite not a lot of people playing it, it can combo into infinity and also set up the apex avian infinite negate loop CONSISTENTLY
Also mayakashi it’s really fun and there’s a trap that floodgates your opponent out of summoning for the price of tributing one mayakashi or shiranui link or synchro monster. It’s unlimited. *the card: ghost meets girl - a masterful mayakashi shiranui saga.
Lunalight player in the TCG here. People tend to forget, but not only is Tiger not a once per turn, the archetype usually runs two or three of a card that bounces it back to hand to special summon itself from hand OR grave, so you can usually loop that a few times, and since it goes back to hand, it can even circumnavigate The Big Bad Rock at times
@@beasthaven1571 beyond tenpai, not much beats snake eyes consistently right now. If you want a deck that annihilates snake eyes, look into Yubels new fusion stuff where one super poly wipes their board with the new fusion stating it needs Yubel and 1+ effect monsters
Also of note: Megaliths. Deck is dirt cheap to build pure, with Hagith and Phaleg both for free in the story mode, and the only high rarity card at SR for Aratron (which you don't even need 3 of, but can help with consistency.) Recommend using a fossil package of Weathering Soldier and Shell Knight as they both proc on being sent to the GY by card effect, which triggers when used as ritual mats, or you can commit to the full package with the Fusions and learn that Phaleg's boost makes Skull Convoy horrifying. Other options are Dogmats if you don't need the Extra Deck (higher rarity option but undoubtedly strong with Omega + N'tss/Skull Knight loops), or impcants for a generic budget option.
@@lynaperez8022 I don't think they are, The way they work though they can always extend as long as there are no monsters your field (I've dealt with a lot of disruption and destruction and as long as I have a tenyi to special summon I can link them off like 3 times every time), I think if they just had stronger things they could end on they'd be pretty good, Or more powerful interactions/A way to loop resources at the same time
@@lynaperez8022 well I was talking about pure tenyis, I think everyone knows swordsoul tenyi is pretty decent, but it's not a focus on the tenyi strategy, it's used to supplement the swordsoul strategy instead
i wouldnt call it underrated: we know it's an absolute blast of a deck, and it still is in the TCG iirc. The thing is noone ever plays it because there isn't any ritual deck currently that's very good and that benefits from drytron (rituals are inherently flawed because you need a specific monster, a specific spell card and tributes, which is a lot and not very consistent even with the correct support. Drytron and impcanta&tions make it really consistent but have a hard time getting through disruption from what i've seen)@@ashikjaman1940
First got into Master Duel early and pick decks based on art I like. That left me with Tenyi and Unchained. They are so fun and now I know how to play, I use Virtual Word Swordsoul as well Gouki now though
I like Unchained, but if they can out your board, there's not much you can do to recover. The deck will be so much more fun and powerful once we get the DUNE stuff.
As a Pure Lunalight main, I love the fusions and its a solid deck. you can still do outplays and its pretty cool.My ace card is lunalight wolf making me fusion from my graveyard by banishing.
I just think arcana knight with scilfer the excutive is just neat. Its fun if you got some extra warrior support equips and some extras to bring out orisis
Well, I mean, they do have Grass, Chicken Game, Union Carrier, and Rhongo unbanned, so it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that Tiger is unbanned too.
As someone who opened an unchained and a tenyi boss monster randomly while opening packs for different archetypes, I can't really use my unchained boss in most of my decks, but the tenyi one was in my synchron deck for a long time as a level 8 removal effect non tuner use as material while comboing, or go into if I have leftover materials after my combo.
Plunder patrol main coming through!😊 Although it lacks in consistency compared to the tier 1 decks, it makes up with wide range of tactics it can take! I am really having fun using it!
I’d probably have to go with the red eyes zombie synchro deck as their abilities to get a ton of graveyard effects, unique removal and disruption options along with having ways to recover from getting nibiru’d is very fun to play with.
I’ve run both fluffals and the branded/despia/fluffal concoction and I’m currently Gold 3(haven’t played much this week). They get you to plat no problem they’re fusions are pretty cracked.
@@mt10-nick66 It's obvious hyperbole. Clearly Branded won't work with a deck that doesn't allow special summoning. The point I was making was that Branded is so good that any deck that can use it could get to platinum.
Well as red eyes, gaia, blackwing, and skull servant player i'm pretty its hard to find one of them. But if they played, they probably use the archetype with destiny hero enforcer and baron de fleur in their deck
@@knockout8157 1 whale and 1 kraken is 8k damage on its own. But if you can use a lot of mats to poly tiger, clear the board, and then frightfur fusion those same mats to get a wolf that attacks 3 or 4 times, that makes quick work of a lot of low rank boards
@@fridgewheatfield yeah, I do that sometimes. Usually though, I get so many materials in hand from things like patchwork, toy vendor, fluffal penguin, etc that I don’t even need to use frightfur fusion. If I do draw into it, I usually save it so I have enough atk on board for game, but I’m not just dead if they have a nibiru or something, since I can still get enough damage with wolf
Not sure if this a popular or unpopular opinion but I like using staff of the arch fiend with lunalights. Whenever I get the chance to equip it with a lunalight fusion and scratch my opponents monsters to death is rather satisfying.
Ive been playing fluffal pure with Frog combo , All the frightfurs , one guardian chimera , artifact dagda and accesscode/knightmarw unicotrn/apollousa. Kept winning a lot until plat 4 then still climbing
Duelling Fluffals are crazy this master-rule People here never take them seriously before tigers out and their board is gone I see people ashing my royal penguin gardens and I’m here like um o.k 😂
As a person who mains Lunalights I don't really use Tiger that often as I possibly should, but it is still an amazing deck to use and I have even beat an otk heroes deck with Lunalights
Ah Luna just always reminds me of that time they were able to setup a board that could Kali Yuga on your opponents turn :/ and if that didn’t work then Leo Dancer OTK
@@yooswi i think you can easily found it online. Otherwise just take all the plunder patroll card (except the trap which makes you draw) and put it in the deck, then put negate , hand trap and pot of desire and you are good to go
Unchained can do very much with very little. It can come back from some absolute fruitless boardstates in the middle of the game, and it's got an omni-search spell that can special summon monsters from the deck if need be. It floats for days. It crushes on ladder. Also it can play Magical Hats, what's there not to love? A single brick, that's it.
The biggest issue with unchained is that the two best decks in MD currently both counter it. Floo shuts down ED monster effects and puts up barrier statue. And branded floats for days and can out-resource it.
Get me some galaxy eyes on that list I’ve always played with this deck supplemented with hand traps and the right spells this deck gets me well into the platinum ranks every time. Plus it’s fun as hell to use.
I a fulffal and lunalight user it's so fun to draw 4 cards per turn and then have enough resources to blow the field more times than your opponent can ash
@@belckroz1952 look it up? That or look up DistantCoder’s build. It uses Eldlich, but that’s replaceable with hand traps since his build doesn’t run any
Unchained abomination is too strong ngl. I manage to clean a full board of a black magician player with just that card as a support for my live twin deck
as a EM enthusiast lets be honest. we are playing bootleg numeron "em can recover/play going first better" super dora is clutch but it's not *that* hard to out and machina packages range from impotent to borderline gambling
@@Trekkie46 it's just that everytime powerful support drops it's always the support we needed a year or two ago. like look at regulus. he's gonna drop in MD relatively soon and it'll be really fun to play with but man... i'll always love the deck but i wish it loved me back you feel me
@@armorparade you mean like how people thought Regulus would make the deck top tier and that didn't really happen. How Dozer really tied the several archetypes together nicely and Metalcruncher/Heavy Forward provided more than enough starters but it's never been more than a rogue pick. Honestly, I prefer it that way because I don't want to see it everywhere. I don't want people to be prepared to handle Citadel and Fortress. And I do believe it is that good of a deck because the only way to know all the million niche interactions is to play it because it always seems to me to have an out that you can grind for.
I like it when they don't read. They kill themself with my stromberg deck. It's like magic cylinder combined with mirror force. It's only downside is it's heavily dependent on the field spell.
jord is a pendulum because it can go both on the ground and the water. and the low scale is because its earth which probably means the wind ship is gonna be a high scale xyz pend
I agree with this list but I also think Bujin is slept on by a lot of the md community. It’s beatdown is pretty reliable with its support from lightning overdrive. Plus, add in some modern cards like ash or veiler and it has very little trouble playing against meta like swordsoul or branded. I would know, because I play the deck myself.
I feel like people don't give traptrix enough credit. It is very underrated and very hard to stop unless you have ash blossom in your hand first turn, which is rare. They can get out really powerful boss monsters and their effects and ESPECIALLY their field spell, is pretty busted. The whole deck is easily searchable. You can also set a lot of trap to disrupt your opponents combos. I still have no idea why people don't play Traptrix
Gradyle/Kaiju -Counters literally every deck -Makes handtraps useless -Can splash every engine Flaws -Called by the grave -The opponent draws called 90% of games
The other day it was my first time going against A lunar deck and let me tell you yes it's underated. My Rikka deck was struggling but I'm the end I still won but barely.
