Roger Rabbit needs to come back. He's got an entire ride at Disneyland still, and he made special appearances at the park until the early 2010s. He's also the only one of those that could still really be considered a fitting character.

Roger Rabbit will occasionally appear during special events. He appeared during the Disneyland "Long Lost Friends" event several years ago, and sometimes can be found at a meet and greet location during Easter, among other rabbit characters beside the Easter Bunny.

I loved Roger Rabbit! I never got to see him in the parks, but when I was growing up, I always loved watching the Disney Sing-a-Long Songs videos and seeing him in it! He was always such a big cuddly goof :)

I've still got a picture of myself with Roger Rabbit, as a kid, in the then MGM Studios theme park... He is, hands down, the one I'd bring back!

Barbie being in the culture area makes sense to me because she is kind of this cultural touchstone on the same level as Mickey. She represents marketing to girls and brand recognition. Also, I could see them showing off the rarer barbies at the showcase.

I have a feeling an updated version of the “lost friends calvacade” will be returning for the 50th. It featured many rare and extinct costumes, and was in WDW in 2012, since then versions of it have been happening at the parks over seas. I’m not sure if that’s the correct name of the parade, but I know a video exists of the entire thing, it’s titled something like “the most rare characters ever at one time”

Seeing the Ninja Turtles show and meeting them was the pinnacle of my Disney trip! I was however disappointed in April O’Neal. I recognized that she wasn’t the actress from the movie and told my parents that she was a fake, very loudly and often, as only a 5 year old can.

I loved Roger Rabbit, so it's a shame Speilburg didn't approve the script for the sequel. To be fair, Roger Rabbit was a character that it was hard to make a sequel out of but he was an extraordinarily optimistic character. He was fun to watch because of the physicality of those shorts that were made.

My first trip to Disneyland, I got autographs from two of the Dick Tracey villains. It was pretty cool, as I was a fan of the cartoon reruns that they started showing daily in conjunction with the movie.

I did get to meet Roger Rabbit in Disneyland back in 2014 for the Springtime Roundup at the (now gone) Big Thunder Ranch, though it was because he was among the other rabbit characters (and Disney characters adorned in Easter attires).

I saw Roger Rabbit in Toon Town when I was a kid. That park was my favorite part of the trip ❤ I wondered why he disappeared. I'm sorry to hear that one of the most fun characters in Disney World history was taken away because of something so petty. Lots of kids missed out on a super fun character because of that. I also have to say that I wish I had seen the ninja turtles show on our visit. They may not be Disney, but that show looked friggin' awesome!! Thanks for the video! Very interesting stuff 😊

Roger Rabbit himself was quite PG excluding well the movie itself and his wife (lmao) I only discovered that movie recently but it's brilliant, and the cameo's of popular characters of animation studios at that time makes the experience even more so enjoyable, so seeing Roger next to Mickey Mouse makes sense. The chances are they know each other well since he's so fond of Goofy haha ^^

Spielberg owns half of Rodger Rabbit?! That's the missing connection!! Now it all makes sense Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg had a huge falling out at Disney. Jeffrey sued Disney for wrongful termination and won a huge settlement which he then used to create DreamWorks SKG The SKG was *Spielberg* (part owner of Rodger Rabbit) Katzenberg majority partner and David Geffen. Dreamworks went though a ton of changes, even made Shrek to thumb its nose at Disney, and is now owned fully by NBC Universal Comcast, Disney's biggest competitor. So Disney in a sense would have to negotiate and pay a competitor to do anything with Rodger Rabbit. So now I see why Rodger Rabbit is "in the vault" and likely not getting out any time soon.

What's weirder still is that Roger did in fact keep making special appearances, usually for holiday events, at Disneyland, up until a year or so before the closure of Big Thunder Ranch. Only after that did he fully disappear.

I have a distinct memory of watching a tmnt show at a theme park. When the video mentioned this I thought oh yeah that makes sense! It even looks like I remember. But then they said it closed in 1995... i was born in the 2000’s. Im now doubting that I even saw a show, and the Harder I think about it, the more I feel like i just imagined it. Freaky..

I pick Roger Rabbit hands down. I rediscovered the movie not too long ago and I do love the character, and he does make more sense than the others. And man, the Dick Tracy characters are nightmare inducing, lol. I remember Roger Rabbit character being around at Disney World. He's gone there but the rides are still operating at Disneyland and Tokyo. I don't consider him as obscure as the other park characters on the list.

I don't remember them having a meet and greet, they had the show, and show and meet and greet casts are different. Shows were notoriously bad, like bad community theater. they brought in pros to put together the Festival of the Lion King and it really revolutionized the shows in the parks. All of these were show related, and none of the shows were remotely good. Trust me you didn't miss anything.
