You know what I love about Austin's videos? There's no bullcrap attached. In a lot of videos with similar names, you'd get a 15 second intro, 1 minute of the guy talking (with a low quality mic) about something loosely related to the topic, then 5 minutes of still images of the consoles and half-baked jokes. This, on the other hand, is just "Hey, it's me again. Here's what you want:". Keep up the great work man.
+Toxicz He is, because, at the beginning of the video, it shows that the N-Gage was connected to T-Mobile, and he also said that it still connected to cell networks, so he must have tested it to confirm that this was true.
Didn't help the fact that it was more expensive than a used Wii and the lack of an SD card slot destroyed any potential it had for modding and homebrew.
i havn't heard of anything before this video.Cause i live in india and all i knew in my childhood was mario, grand theft auto series games and some other java games . well i think its good that i didn't knew these in my childhood.cause i used to play physical games than these digital games ✌✌✌
I still can't believe Nintendo actually released the virtual boy. It's such a weird idea, but I guess Nintendo has always liked trying the weird ideas to stand out from the rest of the market.
AAAAAAHHHHH!! The Sega Nomad!! So much fun was had with that thing as a kid! A friend of mine gave it to me with Sonic 3 (along with an Atari Lynx 2 with Double Dragon, and Game Gear with Sonic 1 and Mortal Kombat II) in the summer of 1998. And the Virtual Boy. I was at Kmart with my dad going grocery shopping when my dad put a big red and blue box, along with another narrow box into the cart. It was a Virtual Boy (which included Mario's Tennis) and Mario Clash. I asked my dad why he got it, and he said, "Because it looks cool." We played that thing for hours when we got home that afternoon. The thing still works more than twenty years later! I was playing Mario Clash the other day and made it to level 50 :P

I had the N-Gage! Dialing someone felt like you're talking to a taco, swapping memory cards was a pain in the ass, it was oversized, typing with one thumb was slower...but honestly? I liked it back in the time, I remember emulating NES and GameBoy on it and it basically replaced portable console+phone to just one weird clunky device.
I feel like the Wii Mini was released to create a throwback to classic Nintendo consoles SNES etc. however it was clearly rushed and not thought through properly and removing Wifi was random
You forgot the Mattel HyperScan. It basically had graphics of that of a Sage Genesis, but coming out in 2007, to compete against The Wii, Xbox 360, and the PS3.
great video Austin. you should do a video on the best laptops. there hasn't been one in a while. maybe suggest the best laptops in different price ranges
I know you're a younger dude and all, but you skipped some of the weirdest consoles from the past. Vectrex was a portable TV with controllers attached but no colors, the TurboExpress with TurboVision that doubled as the world's worst portable television, and finally that damned card-based Hyper Scan thing that led to all the Skylander/Disney Infinity type games.
NOMAD!!! Although I remember that vividly from my childhood in the 80's and 90's, I still have my Game Gear. And I had a Virtual Boy... Life as a single child: you have everything your cousins come over for.
i think the weirdest console was the LaserActive... it was marketed as a Laser disc player that could also play video games if you got expansion drives which you could install in the front of the unit... it had a few expansion drives which one was the sega genesis/mega dirve and the turbo graphx 16/pc engine... it also had a few games that used the unit's remote to run games or the different expansion drive to use the controller only... these exclusive games ran on Laser discs... but in all seriousness it was an over priced unit that could have saved on space during the time but it would have costed you more to buy the unit (which was 970 dollars retail when it was new) and it didnt come with any expansion drives... that costed extra.... and 970 at the time was REALLY expensive just for a laser disc player.... now and days the unit is a collector's item
Awesome video, but just one little detail; all new Wiis built after November 2011 or so are not backwards compatible, so it kind of makes sense that the wii mini lacks backwards compatible to...But great video anyway
