It doesn’t work like that. It’s more a merit of you the player, managing to get these horrible operators to function. Not of the operators. - - - “But SUPAH, I don’t have the better alternatives!, or, “I don’t have the good operators, therefore the bad ones are good”. Yeah, no sh - t sherlock. This is a gacha game, each individual account will look different. If your account is only composed of operators you found looking through the trash, they’re obviously gonna be useful. You don’t have anything else. Also the support system exists. Any form of ranking operators with each other assumes you have an optimal account, otherwise "Bigger picture" operator reviews would be impossible if you had to account for the fact each individual account differs from one another. - - - “But SUPAH, what about this playstyle that uses them!”, or, “They have a niche where they’re decent, so they’re good”. Again, doesn’t work like that. This list is assuming you’re a normal player. And very very often the niches for bad operators just are not relevant enough, like various Nicheknights. That’s cool if you’re the best in the “Invis removal for players who do not use male operators” niche, but that’s not a big enough niche to be even worth considering. "But Nightmare is a good healer in Casterknights!", cool! But it's not worth mentioning for all the 5 people that play casterknights. - - - “But SUPAH, just play them like this! Or don’t use the bad skills!”, or, “Bad operators are good if you ignore the bad parts”. Again, no. Just because you personally ignore Quartz’s Skill 2, that abomination, doesn’t make the skill magically not exist anymore. The bad parts are still parts of the operator even if you ignore them. - - - "But SUPAH, just use these other operators that cover their weaknesses!", or, "Bad operators are good if helped by good operators". Squad slot economy is very important when it comes to meta discussions. You have 12 slots, why should you use 3 slots to fit in a bad unit and like 2 other ops to help them out, when you could use 1 slot for a good unit instead? This is also why operators like Ling are extremely good. Ling is essentially an entire squad fit in 1 squad slot, allowing you 11 others for whatever you want. Also, if the operator needs to be helped out by others, then chances are they aren't very good in the majority of scenarios.
For that last line, while I do agree for the most part and AK seems to follow that design philosophy as well, sometimes characters are specifically designed to almost completely lack 1 stat while being overtuned in all the others. In scenarios like that, you're heavily reliant on supports or some kind of external buffs, but if you have access to those they can more than make up for the necessity to use an extra slot to make them work. I don't think AK has any characters that are _that_ extreme though. Probably the closest you're gonna get is Pallas, but people who claim "Oh but Pallas is good in SSS and IS where you can overstack buffs" are usually just coping
I think I agree with everything entirely except for the "you can't ignore bad skills" part, it's not like Texalter is mediocre because her s1 is mediocre. Mountain is one of the best units in the game and no one uses his s3 lmao
He's not even correct, he has his info on how Ho'olheyak's talent works wrong, almost as if he hasn't actually used her and is just parroting opinions on an operator being bad without using anything for himself.
I love how dumbasses think that being an Introvert is a weakness. Remember, Dwight D. Eisenhower is an Introvert who conquered Europe, East Asia and America (Through winning elections) in less than 10 years
Also she's an artist who constantly trashes her own paintings and is terrible with her commission requests, which explains why she's always doing the bare minimum when working
5:06 I'm not here to argue that Ho'ol is good, but her levitate is applied before the damage on all of her skills, so the talent does synegize with her kit. that's how (generally) all skills that include debuffs or status effects work
What makes it worse is that it is clearly showed in the video that the enemies got silenced right from the first hit while her talent says it only silences airborne enemy. His words go directly opposite with what he showed us. Dunno whether this was really intentional.
Yeah as you said it is not possible to max stack. Like you need to kill like what 15 or so? Unless she is solo. The other op will just steal her kill lol
You should make a video for ACTUALLY underated 5 stars, basically those who can be good in most situations but never get used For example Leonhardt, he is generally really good and is not a niche operator
5:11 because of how damage calculation in the game works, her talent actually gives the hit that made enemy levitate increased damage as well, same case with Quibai dealing additional hit when her atk binds, W dealing more damage with skills permanently if enemy is not stun immune etc, which is not making Ho'ol any better, that is, but still a mistake and I won't tolerate these in the future
@@sirki2885 her issue is more I think a lack of synergy than her damage output alone. Given she does have crowd control capabilities there should be some amount of trade-off. Really if she just needs units that synergize with her nothing more.
"Arts is way more of a threat" Bloodknight, Steam knight, Reclamation Algorithm bosses, Red from CC 12: allow us to introduce ourselves. Supah I get where you're coming from, but this woman has yet to disappoint me. Same goes for Quibai.
As someone who uses Mostima a lot, i can absolutly agree that even with the modul she is decent at best. The only place i would actually call her good, is in SSS, were if you manage to stack it right, she can spam her S3 3-5times per wave
Mostima also good in is3 with Ubi bona somnia stage, on a15 those flower gonna be nightmare to deal with but if u got mos s3m3 + module u can just triggering all of them then use mos to slow them down and watch them die before they can do anything to your ops
Again I say to you, look at the results. Mostima has had far more max risk clears than most other 'non-meta' operators. Same thing for Qiubai with her use in CC12 max risk. The results say all you need to know
To be fair for Phantom, he's still really good in the case that Yato R and TexAlter will never appear again, so he still has use that way. I do really like the radiata stories music tho.
Quibai is strange, her damage is actually not bad (you have to pair her with a bind op like ethan tho), is just that she relies on masteries a bit too much. Her skill 3 without masteries is pretty mediocre but with masteries it add a new modifier that doubles her talent damage+more aspd stacks. I still think her skill 2 is the better one for general content but overhall quibai is a serviceble unit that simply cost a bit too much to make her do her job well, but all of this won't stop me from bringing her everywhere.
I'm with you. I love Qiubai. I started a month ago and got her in 7 rolls. She's been incredibly clutch to kills tons of peons and block enemies. She's more than enough to tide me over until I pick Silverash from the 4th anniversary 6 star selector.
this is the thing, i watch someone play on private server and then make her s3 unlimited duration, global range and 9999 aspd and the damage just low, the bind still inconsistent after 9999 aspd just face it man, she is just mid without support
@@nuginurohman7613that's what i said, you have to pair her at least with a bind or slow op(bind is better since not a single enemy is immune to it from what i know), without It She loses a lot of damage+forced to do masteries. But as i said i still like her no matter how mediocre she Is. Also i will be the first to admit that she Is on the underwelming side of 6*, i just wanted to explain a few things that a lot of people ignore about her.
@@thomaslepage5941the way i use quibai Is with with her on the sidelines or behind Defender preferably Saria S3 togheter with Ethan or indigo or both. Not the most efficent team, but pretty fun to see enemies stuck on a tile unable to move.
You dont even need ethan actually, just pair her with consistent slow sources such as suzuran s2/s3 or a chain caster and you've already maximize her damage
Speaking as a down horrendous Dusk simp with p6, m9, mod6, although her module does make her better, it’s only at a level of not being bad. It’s basically an identical situation to Mostima with module except that Mostima is situationally irreplaceable and Dusk is not.
@@caster269 I would've been fine with not talking about Dusk's module at all, if Supah didn't mention her DP cost at 2:29. I think Dusk's initial DP cost is a big issue that was addressed in her second module.
Compare Vigil Skill 2 to Muelsyse Skill 2 the DP Generate difference is massive the fact that mumu kit is more versatile in every upgrade of the Skill increase its DP generation up to 15 DP.
Vigil is such a tragedy. a unit designed to be a damage, didn't get any stats modifier from ALL of his skill. His S3 only gives bonus percentage damage from his abyysal base atk stat, plus its mixed damage, so its significantly less powerful. and also for some unholy reason his wolves had 0 tile attack range when blacknight summon had 1 tile range, which make his S2 skill cycle utterly miserable since you only get to proc if after the wolf took damage, which if high enough consume 1 of the wolves hp bar which reduced all subsequent skill activation.
hes just a niche character only op in stationary security service bcuz of vanguard buff and when you boost him his dps become more than just viable though i would say that Vigil is way better than flametail. + you get free pot 5 from doing the event.
I think Dusks S3 and Rosmontis S3 could really use a little rework where their "summons" would increase their range by one tile forward, while attacks hitting those tiles cannot spawn other "summons" (so Dusk cannot just spawn an infinite amount of summons to increase her range up to infinity).
Went back to binge some of your other content, subscribed the moment I heard Alone Infection as the outro music. You've earned this Guilty Gear fan's subscription.
In defense of Phantom, there is one niche he fills that Texas and Yato do not: Squad Size. If you have 11 characters that you absolutely must have, but you also need two fast-redeploys, Phantom can cover both on his own. It's not a common niche, but it IS a niche, and it actually came in handy several times during past runs of IS.
Phantom used to be the go to for minimal squad size/trust farm gameplay. Sadly though a lot of ops nowadays could just bruteforce with quick skill cycle and beeg skill damage to offset the 2 in 1 perk Phantom gives. As much as I love Texas (actually I only love her coz she's related to Lappland), I hate her alter as she's the second breaking point of operator mechanics design after Surtr. Executor specialists aren't supposed to be as uber heavy-hitters on demand--it helps you fixing leaks and provide supporting damage and some CC but that's it. Texalter and Yato alter are so gamebreaking I bench them for now to regain my braincells.
Ho'ol's levitate applies before damage is dealt like W's stuns are applied before damage is dealt so she receives the dmg bonus regardless. When you need consistent AoE both Carnelian and Dusk have an edge on her in a number of situations. Carn functions as a utility in being able to tank ranged units while she recharges and her S3 is like 45s recharge vs Eyja 80s. Eyja is helidroppable and she isn't. Carn can tough it out on her own a lot and Eyja can't (needs healing). There are tradeoffs but for the purpose of AoE they are sidegrades. Dusk > Low Res. Eyja > High Res. Carnelian S3 Dusk S1 and S2 scale better than Eyja does with more targets and S2 straight up adds a damage scale to her output for lower HP. Her module deals with the cost issue of herself and her S3 while making the summons stronger. If she summons a freeling at the edge of her range you retreat it to spawn one closer too. That's a "tech" thing I guess so ymmv but it's simply not as big an issue as it's presented as. Shining's S2 is one of the best defensive skills in the game and the def boost absolutely make a difference because of the damage formula. The fact def works differently doesn't somehow make her worthless and I think that's a really really strange thing to say. W/ her S2 the higher the target's base def the bigger the mitigation they get. Units intended to be lane holders have skills bolstering their defenses but it's rarely enough on its own and she absolutely synergizes with them by bolstering their ability to do their jobs. Her S1 is burst healing and her S3 is one of the few ways to buff units that have some form of defense scaling to deal damage on to go being a long lasting def buff to anyone in range. I could say more but idk man? You say we can't ignore unit skills but then it seems like you are judging Shining based her S3. Not even her S3 so much as what people commonly use it for? Then there are 6* that are considered good because of one of their skills and the other two aren't even considered worth using in any context but for most of those listed here there are numerous use cases for 2 or all 3 of their skills. Like fr calling def useless is just strange.
Even tho i love Shining and simp for her, i can definitely say that Skill 2 is... pretty meh. Like why do you need Armor boost JUST after unit takes damage. It would be VERY GOOD if she for example apply it when the Phys. Damage is just going to hit the Operator. But in some way, it can be really useful, for example when it literally rains phys. damage on your caster or any low def. classes. So i agree with your opinion in some way
@@Aiki27 You can give an opinion without blatantly misinforming people. My problem isn’t the opinion. My problem is the misinformation. There are max risks from yesterday that used shining precisely for her skill 2 for the exact same reason I detailed above. If the metric for them being bad is their lack of generalized usage? OK sure that’s a point to work from. But the critiques are partially misrepresenting the reality of the situation.
Shining's s2 is just unreliant. Most of the time it's just better to heal the incoming damage rather than lower it. And when the big physical hit is coming like Steam Knight's charged attack, the shield isn't there. It's much better and convenient to use Lumen's S3 since it's always up and has more HPS
@@BooguyTheAdept 1. You are healing while mitigating damage. Looking solely at the heal per second isn’t an entirely accurate way to evaluate the efficacy of this skill because in addition it also fluctuates with the targets defense. How effective the scale is in a given situation is modular. 2. Going with this: You can’t heal them if they are dead. 3. The issue I’m pointing to above all else is the blatant misinformation. Suggesting that defense is useless is simply untrue. Defense and resistance both reduce the incoming damage that you’re going to take and as such they make the overall health pool of a given operator that much more effective for keeping them alive. You need to be mindful of what exactly you’re using skills for and in what contexts you use them because each of them have situations that they are more beneficial in than others. A good generalized option, lumen for example, does not invalidate the boons and benefits of alternative options. It’s not about saying that some thing is better or worse it’s about understanding where things fall and where their use cases lie. Like everybody’s entitled to their opinion but our opinions can also be objectively wrong. If you said that defense is not as effective at mitigating damage as resistance is that would be true. But to say that it’s worthless or useless is factually incorrect.
Huh, so if they change Dusk summons, so she can attack enemy blocked by them, that would fix her a little bit. Great analyse video as always. All praise Gumny
The problem that Supah mentioned isn't that she can't damage them when they are being blocked by the summons. Dusk, alongside Rosmontis, has the problem where they can summon stuff on the very edge of their attack range and makes the enemies being blocked there unable to being damaged by them
@@amirunsyafiq ^ this i dont have dusk so i dont have many experience with her, but i do have rosmontis S3M3. on rosmontiscase, unless she have 2 group of enemies deep inside her range, 1 of her brick can sometimes land on the edge of her range and any mob blocked outside of her actual range just standing there undamage while the other brick usually already finish the mob off halfway of her skill duration.
Vigil is literally a former mafioso with a drippy outfit, a cool looking skin (Which will come with the Il Siracusano rerun), and two revolvers despite not being a Sankta And yet the Professional Breeder still beats him if you look at her base stats.
I will say that one thing to say about dusk s3 is that (imo) is a stall tool, not a dps tool. I think she performs better in that niche and while still far from the best she is definitely useable.
5. Dusk : I have her but I prefer using Mostima over her due to the +sp regen for casters and she cost 8 DP less. 4. Shining : KyostinV high end squad AFK guides. 3. Ho'olheyak : skipped, didn't watch, don't want to spoil myself. 2. Carnelian : short range and long skill charging time I've only used her in IS2 where I she's good as bait for bomb drones, ballistas, and ranged attacks. 1. Vigil : I like how everyone in the community agrees on how bad he is, I don't want to spend resources leveling him up and I'd rather pick Beanstalk since it's cheaper to build her than the free 6* hypergriph gave us.
As a Skadi enjoyer, yes her skills aren't anything great, just atk and speed buffs, that still won't stop her from deleting anything in her way(Jokes aside she saved my Ass against the Sui in the invitation to wine EX stages)
I agree with the dusk assessment if we consider her without modules, the one that reduces her dp cost is great for cycling skill 3 and drops her dp cost to like 23 and For Ho’ol the increase in the duration of her talent from the module makes a lot more consistent in attacking levitated targets. I’m not saying they don’t have the issues you mentioned I’m just saying that they are greatly reduced or even disappear with their modules, however base they do have issues.
I'm surprised you didn't consider Eunectes for this list. Although I think you did put her in your other list as well iirc. Like I would honestly use Carnelian over Eunectes as at least the former is easier to use. You have to treat Eunectes like a more expensive dreadnaught guard most of the time, and once she charges her skill, the level is over.
The first module actually make Eunectes a decent operator, Carnelian just does nothing, even when the skill activates (and on top of that she got hard powercrept by Lin)
Found a fun use for Shining with Quartz, because of her module she suddenly gets close to feeling like a dreadnought. Shining is definitely niche but I do like the niche she does. IMO Phantom's best role has always been more crowd-control/staller than pure DPS so it kinda makes sense we have others for better damage now.
I mean in terms of crowd control you can get away with Texalter's S3, Kafka and project red rather than using Phantom solely for it. But that being said, I do think Phantom's ability to be in two places at once for a fast redeploy gives him a bit more utility imo, especially depending on the map.
Siege was my very first 6star and I somehow just kept getting Siege on rolls so she was also my first full pot. She was so strong back then lol, pretty much a lane holder guard disguised as a vanguard with S2 massively increasing her dps and survivability. In fact, she still is strong now. Forever loyal to my Siege lol.
ngl, I'm kinda fine with a utility heavy operator like Ho'ol. There are so many high damage ops I have at this point that her not doing crazy damage is whatever. I will most likely get her anyway since I'm going 300 on Mumu.
I'm kinda on the fence on how I feel about Dusk. She's outvalued by Eyja a lot of times, but I've had a lot of success using Dusk S3 to stall swarmers and heavy hitters. And yeah her S1 can be really strong on maps with tons of weak enemies to feed her +att passive.
I ain't even mad that I have 3 characters from the list M9'd. (Excluding the honorable mentions). Carnelian, Dusk, and Vigil. But yeah, they're easily outclassed in most situations. For Phalanx casters as a whole, I just wish they'd give them SP when hit. And you could just make Lin's talent have a chance to double the SP gained.
3:42 Quartz is one of the best operators in the game, featuring high atk. In the right situation, she can oneshot anything. Just behind gummy, her power is not to be taken lightly. Her def is so high the game can't even calculate it and puts it to 0.
Not even a minute in and I fucking love this guy. The accent, the blunt words, the calling out of copium, fucking LOVE it. I'm in fucking tears! 😂 Bro really just gained a sub so easily from an intro lmfao
And every once in a while you get that one stage with a boss challenge mode that oneshots even Hoshiguma, but doesn't with Shining's support. And that's when it all comes together and you appreciate her big juicy thighs. I mean shield.
To note how bad mostima is I use her all the time, one of my more used operator's at this point. Her sole purpose is to buff goldenglows SP generation. The slow is nice and the damage is decent, but thats not why she exists, she exists to buff goldenglow, and she does it adequately. Yes, i could use philopsis instead, she would be bettwr for the rest of the squad, but mostima has a bigger regen number, and i hate medics for the crime of not killing stuff.
I think it bears mentioning that in global where Lin doesn't have her module yet she's even worse than Carnelian. The module is a huge buff for her, though. This definitely doesn't move Ho'o off this list but if you're Dorothy fan she's a fun enabler, at least.
Quibai is really weird cuz she gets MASSIVE improvements on mastery. Moreso than almost any other operator I’ve seen. The difference from her skill at lv 7 and M3 is honestly crazy.
Well kinda hate but I agree with Supah opinion towards all operators he said, like Dusk if the freeling doesn't block enemy to outside its tile it should be better
Personally I've saved over 600 pulls to P6 Ho'olheyak when she comes out. Really hoping she gets some cool secondary module that makes her niche a little stronger, but she seems really fun to play as is, even if not that competitive among other Casters for now. And above all, voiced by our lord and savior SAWASHIRO MIYUKI.
@@lloleolom I never said it did, I just said I've saved a lot for her regardless of her strength, and how the VA is a lot more important for me than her strength as an operator.
I like this vid I actually look for advice like this lol some 6 stars are just not worth the investment. (Except if it's a dude op most of the time.) Still going for Dusk because I think I can handle investing in her.
I remember someone try so hard to defend hool, saying her s2 dps is highest because she's waifu He the same person who flaming passengger when no module.
at the time i watched this video i had nothing to say but i thought about it and. There's a lot of Casters in this video. And i'm surprised Ebenholz dodged a HM or even a spot in this list. Would be intresting to study why casters tend to be more miss than hit in a video, maybe ?
i would assume is their basic job, like vanguard to generate dp or defender to block enemies, caster basic job are to deal damage and some of them got miss either by having to much cc on their kit that neglect damage or having a big damage but have to wait like 1 minute to proc
@@prd6617 Eyjafjalla kind of took most of their jobs, unless they have a super niche. Coebe's module slices thru high def enemies like cheese now, and Ifrit always had her massive aoe line. Eyjafjalla's module now has her give casters a buff just by being on the team. Ebenholz is good at nuking units with like 1 hit.
bad operators might be bad, but I can still make them work for the most part. doesn't mean they're not bad, just means I can still use them, so that what matters to me for the most part. except vigil. there's almost no way you can make him workable.
10:02 same lol. Back during the first of those banners where the first six star was guaranteed to be one you don't have, Skadi was the only one I did not want and had no reason to use. Guess what she did.
if you are going to say 'in a vacuum over and over again. I request art of the arknights character in question being sucked into a vacuum' your top 5 list has 3 AOE casters. I'm not...disagreeing with you, but it bothers me that if you are just going to blacklist an archtype, why not just do worst kits in arknights.
Vigil in a state, where he need complete rework to become good, not even single module can save him. My problem with him is not even his famous "2DP" or paper thin summon - he outclassed even as Ranged Vanguard for me.. Have you ever tried to use him without wolf? Here is my situation - stage was with restricted ground tiles, and available one is dangerous, but I needed some vanguard to drop my expensive units in time. I thought like "hey, I have ranged vanguard, why don't I use it to generate some DP for me from the save place" I dont even need his summon, just some DP... Turns out, I learned another harsh thing - HE COMPLETELY USELESS WITHOUT WOLF... nor skill 1 or 2 can produce any DP, not even "2DP" if no wolf on map... But Blacknight or Beanstalk for example, CAN act as ranged DP generator... They don't need summon to be Vanguards at first place... You want DP, you will get it. I dont even mention Blacknight's summon, with 4 tile attack range, and can cast his AoE Sleep even if dead.... Just give me some DP, Vigil... But nope ... Even in this department, he is fkd up..
i dont think vigil deserves to be a list he doesnt count as a 6 star, he is a walfare operator. yes he deserves a spezial mention but putting him at the same list as operators you have to pull for seems unfair
Huh hoolheya dmg calculation is different than W? I'm sure W will stun 1st then apply dmg so she will get her talent works every skill triggered. And if you wonder who's Shining natural enemy, it's steam knight. Unlock withered scabbard (y module) and hoshiguma as tank 👍
Hoolheyak actually has synergy with Irene if Irene floats enemies then you can activate her talent and it's also a win for Irene thanks to her ignore defense talent
I love that arknight content creators have shameless english accents. I can't decide which is the best. I even feel confortable to write using my half baked english and latino words. Very happy.
I had experienced these issues early on with a lot of these characters so I didn't E2 them except Shining because of other creators videos and I mainly use her to recharge Fiammetta in the base so Fiammetta can be used multiple times a day. Maybe do a video on the best combinations to use in the base because the worldy plight and a couple of others gets really confusing.
Wrong channel to ask for base content. Also Fiammetta is unaffected by external sources of morale (dorm/units) She's always going to recover in 12 hours no matter what
Thank you I had no idea about the first talent in the base, I guess I didn't read the fine print, because now I can use Shinning in other Dorms.@@kr4547
1:40 Then you can just remove the freeling so enemies can come in the range. It wont be any loss as Dusk spams her freelings like cheeseburgers at mcdonalds during that one minute. S3 is great at stalling, it comes in handy with bosses and elites. Her module makes up for the high sp cost a bit, so its not that drastic. I am not saying she is good, but she has a rather interesting niche, just like Lin. Or you can just equip her S1 and be happy with afk gameplay
Why use shining for crusher when u can bring centurion? Jokes aside, unless theres a crusher with dmg comparable or more to chen alter and a broken ass skill but still has paper ass defense, its really not worth it
@@arandom5926 i wasn't saying shining is good for crusher guards, she's actually terrible with them as her S2 and S3 scale off of operator defense, which supra just seemed to forget. What i am saying is that not all operator's have some defense, as crusher guards have zero defense.
i add something that will make it even worse for building vigil 1. Because his attack base is low, he really need his wolves to block the enemy for extra damage wich is bad as this video says. 2. The condition of his S2 to get that 2 DP is the wolves need to attack, the problem is the wolves only attack the blocked enemy.... unlike Siege who can be cheated to attack by using Stainless device. 3. His initial SP for his S3 is soo low for a vanguard, maybe this was made so that his wolves can have 3 head when the skill active but the point using vanguard is to gain DP and to take care early wave of the enemy, both fail because his weak wolves and this skill SP. not to mention that this skill also give extra damage to his weak wolves not himself make his 3 hits attack useless unless he attack units blocked by the wolves... (again) 🤦♂️
Just because better options exist that doesnt make dusk carnelian and vigil bad, it’s gacha game there will be overlapping niches and balance issues For dusk s3, her module exists which massively reduces the sp cost, and lower dp cost meaning shes worth more for her cost, and you can retreat summons if enemies get stuck outside For carnelian, her charge time on s3 is 45.5 sec, which is less than lin’s 50 sec, and even less than eyja’s 80 cost, it has very very good damage when it has almost halve the charge time of eyja s3 Did you forget that each 6 star have 3 skills? And all 3 skills have different sp costs? Vigil s3 absolutely shreds for a vanguard, s2 has very low sp cost meaning you get consistant dp, damage and heal on the wolves, not every vanguard need to give a big burst of sp every now and then, and s1 is the go to when using him as normal vanguard and helping his wolves survive, at the end of the day, he is a vanguard, not a defender or guard or sniper, stop expecting him to do everything There are ops like eunectes which literally doesnt serve any purpose and requires you to pre plan and work around her, and somehow that is better than whatever this list
Carnelian: You do realize that Lin has the talent where she has a 50% chance to gain 1 SP when attacked? Seeing as she is a ranged tank, you want to put her last so that ranged enemy will get aggroed to her. Vigil: Flametail: "Look at what they need to mimic a fraction of my power" But seriously, Flametail is basically what Vigil is but better.
carnelian's defense on skill is ehh compared to lin's from what i've seen, and "very very good" dmg is quite a stretch when u consider every op released nowadays, and the increase in the res which she has no way to deal with by herself (while eyja ceobe got mod, gg got talent...) and vigil's dp and dps is too abysmal to get anything done consistently while eunectes fulfills her niche well enough. i mean literally any vg can replace vigil and he's not even utilized that much if not at all in vgknights, his own niche
Mostima is much better than you think, I did perma slow enemies with mostima+suzuran+ascalon as a ground unit for H13-4! Literally, they saved my ass so hard and this mostima's slow so freaking good. She deserves not even the 5th place here at all.
Supah, I'm curious if you considered Blemishine for this list. Perhaps an honorable mention for being dangerously mid, like Qiubai. I'm new blood to Arknights. Three months. I might not know what I'm talking about, but I've been unimpressed with Blemishine in almost every scenario. She's not a healing defender, she's a guard that heals, which would be fine, if she just had a skill that triggered or recovered without her attacking. Which means she's an operator who doesn't do anything unless she's always in the face of the enemy. None of her skills feel good to use. Skill one theoretically is decently healing and would have good uptime, but it only goes off when she smacks someone. Skill 2 is again, nice healing and crowd control, but she's the only one that attacks sleeping enemies. Skill 3 is good healing and damage, she doesn't heal herself. I just never feel good using her at all when I could just sub her for an actual guard or healing defender, like Cutter or Gummy. I get that she's a "jill of all trades", but to me she's the "jill of no trades". I know she's popular and people love her, but they likely conflate their love for the character with her in-game performance. P.S. I almost bought her for 180 certs. I dodged a bullet.
Blemeshine is S tier lol. She can be an SP battery, heal units that can not directly be healed by anything else, deal with sleeping units (which is very niche) and overall is a very potent healing defender, only behind Saria. She has absolutely no place on any list of bad OPs. And I say that as someone who cares 0 about the characters. I am a meta slave lol.
