Wow, I hope you gave your dad some love for those purchases. I'm freaking jealous. Ha Ha . I'm a 76 kid and collected until mid 90's. I have recently started collecting again. I am dumbfounded by all the variations of the rookie cards nowadays. I have wisely started focusing on more vintage cards now that I can afford the rookies I've missed since my departure, but your collection just blew me away!!!!! All the Cobbs, Williams, Koufax. Great collection. Thanks for sharing

1975 here… I stopped collecting around 1990 and started again around 2002 or 2003. Eased back into the hobby, but just really fell in love with the prewar cards. Thanks for watching!

Awesome top 50, Andrew. The focus, commitment and discipline it takes to build this kind of a collection is so impressive, and that is an understatement. Sure you need financial means to acquire this quality of cards, but I hope it is not lost on collectors that if they desire a high quality collection it takes patience, sacrifice (giving up cards that you may enjoy for something bigger, and sacrificing quantity for quality). Thanks so much for the kind words, Terry. I really appreciate it. My approach to collecting has definitely changed over time. Certainly have tried to move towards quality over quantity… but the thrill of the hunt is half the fun for me. I have found that I can “scratch the itch” with the inexpensive oddball non-sports stuff that I like, while saving/searching for the next “big” card. I'm impressed with your collection. I have been a Grader for SGC and I have graded nearly 16,000 cards so far. I think that I have graded a couple of cards in this video
Great vintage cards. Some extremely rare stuff you don't see very often if not at all. I have a feeling your top 10 isn't going to change much from year to year, other than personal preferences. Awesome man and congrats!

Great collection-- With a name like "Nuf Ced" I was disappointed to find only one 19th century card. You need to add an Old Judge N172 or N173 to the collection. N172 Old Hoss Portrait would be a great addition especially since you are a BoSox fan. Thanks for sharing!

@@nufcedcards I can't help but wonder though, How do you afford those cards? I mean I know exactly how much cards are worth, my best cards are 55 Topps Clemente rookie, 2 of the Koufax rookies, 56 Topps Mamtle, the #1 card that I hope to get is the 63 Topps Pete Rose rookie
Sounds like you have some nice cards. Someday I hope to add a Clemente rookie. A big part of it is that I have been putting this collection together for over 20 years. I picked up a lot of the bigger cards when they were a lot cheaper…
cool stuff andrew in your opinion there is a w517 johnson on ebay in a sgc a i usally dont buy authentic cards but this one is really nice what do u think tnanks
Speaking generally, I try to find numeric graded when possible. That said, there are certain cards that I would be thrilled to own in an A grade. Hand cut strip cards like that, the A would bother me a lot less. Just my opinion… if it looks nice, go for it!
I also like that Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker , if a card grades a 5 back then why wouldn't it grade a 5 today Walter Johnson ? same a 3.5? nice 1951 Mays , Does your Dog bite? some very old cards nice.
Dog sounds mean, but does not bite! I think that both PSA and SGC have changed their grading standards over time (even if they won’t admit it). They have gotten tougher with the grades…
Sorry but I could not even finish this video, are you collecting for the cards or the grade. Because it sounds like you don't care about the player, and only care about the way the card looks and grades. By the way you own some great players from back in the day.
