Mario 3D Land was my first 3DS game and still my absolute favourite on the system

Rating Azran above Miracle Mask is the right call but it's so brave of you for saying it out loud.

New Leaf has that special sauce atmosphere that no other thing in existence can match. It's cozy and nostalgic but also upbeat and reflective and oh man it's so peak. The 3DS has such a great library, some recommendations from me would be Pilotwings Resort, Fantasy Life and pretty much any Monster Hunter game. Also congrats on 50K!!

Ayooo!! Its nice to meet someone who feels the same way SMT4, its got such a vibe unto itself, and while apocalypse is still good, I think alot of people down play both the somber horror and aetherial wonder of the Original. There is a lot to unpack in SMT IV

There are other big games like Ever Oasis, Star Fox, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, but I think the best place to explore is (was?) the eshop exclusives. It's like an entire second library for the system! Almost like a mobile-specific library for people who couldn't afford the "console" games, if that distinction makes any sense. The Denpa Men, Dillon's Rolling Western, Pushmo, Liberation Maiden, Severed, River City Rumble, Pocket Card Jockey, Rusty's Real Deal Baseball, Siesta Fiesta. Amazing games.

grew up on the 3DS and it's for sure my favorite game console of all time. Just so many classics and I played them all at the perfect time in life to be nostalgic for them when I look back

firstly, congrats on 50k! its exciting seeing one of my favorite youtubers hid their stride. secondly, so glad you agree that x and y are pretty basic entries in the series. they dont have any features that arent included in future games/ expanded further (mega evolution, more expanded online capabilities, better 3d overworlds) these games could have been so much more if they gave themselves the chance

Great list, and very personal to you. I can recommend some eShop bangers that nowadays require piracy, but they're super; Pushmo, Pocket Card Jockey, and Attack of the Friday Monsters. I never had a DS, so it also became my first experience with gems like Elite Beat Agents, and Ghost Trick. Altogether, a lovely little console, and I miss the feeling of getting new surprises on there... though I still haven't played Siesta Fiesta, so I'm not really done either!

Not me watching all this list bc I'm waiting on my 3ds xl to arrive. Came here to speed through it but actually stayed for the personality, really fun video! It's insane how many people are picking this console up rn?? You would think the popularity would go down, but since modding seems so easy I can understand the hypee, switch games are crazy expensive. Only had DSi as a kid so I'm super excited to replay all the games I had at 8 and discover the new 3ds games!

Just started SMT4 a few weeks ago. I cannot put it down! It’s rare for me to get past the first 20hrs in an rpg game especially with turn based battles but SMT4 is so cool! Itches that pokemon urge with much higher difficulty, more intricate mechanics, and a seemingly infinite number of recruitable party members. Really digging it so far

The 3ds was the home of remakes. I didn't know I wanted like Devil Survivors 1 and 2 and Radiant Historia.

That list was actually pretty good! I might try Devil Survivor later :). Also too bad you didn't play Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, online play is still pretty active and it's so sad it's gonna shut down.

Animal Crossing New Leaf is the game I turned to when my real life as a middle schooler sucked. To this day I still play it (though not my original file) and every time it reminds me of the warm sense of bliss I had as a kid… still my favorite 3DS game, even if I think Fire Emblem Echos and Kid Icarus Uprising are better made games

Hey if you mod your 3ds and have one of the new 3ds systems I believe you can use the Luma menu to increase framerate for most games. This can really help for Snake Eater 3D. Hope this helps! (Sorry I forgot the steps to do it I just know you can)

My TOP 5 that I still play consistently are Monster Hunter Stories, Fantasy Life, Ever Oasis, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Stella Glow. Also Persona Q2 is dope as hell.

I've been playing a ton of Animal Crossing New Leaf as well as Nintendogs. It's fun to take nintendogs on my actual walks and get rewards in game! The fact that there's not a mobile nintendogs game is crazy.

Pokémon Ruby is one of the only Pokémon games I’ve played, and it is amazing, highly recommended.

Hope they do a SMT4 Remaster or Remake. Would be so cool

I have played one 3ds game. I bought a 3ds for Monster Hunter 3u&4u and have only played 3u so far. It. Is. Phenomenal. And supposedly 4u is even better. I hope to pick up some others for the system as well now that I have it.

Decent video but I don't agree with a lot of your opinions but was good to see but I don't care for overly difficult games or shooters of any kind. I would put Animal Crossing New Leaf up near the top of my list along with Tales of the Abyss. I would also put Heroes of Ruin up there as my husband and I had a blast playing that together. My top games would probably be Pokemon OR/AS followed closely by Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon. Other games that make my list Fantasy Life, Bravely Default...

I bought the 3DS after getting my first job just to spite my brother who was saving up his allowance to get one. I now look back on it as having some of the best games ever. Best version of Ocarina of Time Star Fox 64 on the go Mario and Luigi Dream Team Samus Returns Bravely Default and Second were awesome A SEQUEL TO MY FAVORITE ZELDA GAME (Link Between Worlds) OMEGA RUBY ALPHA SAPPHIRE?!!? KIRBY PLANET ROBOBOT!?!?!? MY FAVORITE KIRBY GAME???? I don't have my OG 3ds anymore, but I DO still have my Link Between Worlds 3DS XL that I've been using for the past decade.

my top fav is spider Man edge of time I got it when I was 10 it so good and lovely but recently my 3ds broke which made the screen black makes and can see 80% of the screen but I will soon be repairing it
