Dividend ETFs are a goldmine in the finance sector. These high-yield dividend ETFs provide a recurring income, contain stable businesses with dependable revenue, and unlike individual stocks, they're well diversified. When it comes to dividend investing, steady and growing dividends are the key to growing your passive income. Furthermore, dividend stocks contained in these ETFs generally have high liquidity, dividend-centric management, and are profitable beyond their low capital reinvestment needs. Dividend ETFs are the backbone of many passive income dividend portfolios. If you're looking for dividend ETFs to diversify your investment portfolio and elevate your portfolio returns, make sure to watch this video right the way through!
The ETFs I cover include the below:
- iShares S&P/ASX Dividend Opportunities ESG Screened ETF (ASX:IHD)

Great insight! Thank you! Might just pay to check the market cap of the NZX when comparing it however, I think you have decimal place in the wrong place as I make IDH only 0.18% of the size of the NZX, not one and half times the size (proud kiwi living in Aus speaking out here 😂)

Thank you Brent ! Could you please make a video if it is better to invest in smart shares ETF VS other countries ETF . Pro and cons as I believe investment over 50k nzd have to pay additional taxes . Would really appreciate if you can provide some insight on the taxes part ,It will helpful for new investor like me whether to keep investing in ETFS ( USA and Au) or should I opt for NZ ETFS to save on tax

Heya! Interesting you bring it up, I have a video in the works touching on a similar topic of cases where ETFs might be disadvantageous to your returns. A few points to consider, overseas ETFs will require foreign exchange fees (Sharesies/Hatch 0.5% in and out). Investing over NZ$50,000 abroad will also incur a FIF tax, which is a bit tricky to calculate. Overseas ETFs also don't qualify under PIE for lower taxes. Kernel wrote a great article on some of these points, which is a great read. The topic is slightly different, but it makes a few points about overseas vs local ETFs: kernelwealth.co.nz/blog/why-etfs-are-unsuitable-for-new-zealand-investors . Hope this helps!

TAXs kill dividend investing in Australia…
@BrentColeman

The taxes can sure be a pain! I created a video looking at some of the drawbacks of dividend stocks, including getting taxed at marginal rates. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-39vsTfF3GgU.htmlsi=zsJ1aQlA_spyQlFf

It's certainly been a strong performer on the ASX, both on the dividends and capital gains side of things!

If you had say 200k, wouldn't you be better off just buying the top stocks in these ETF,s yourself? Direct share ownership I mean.
