Even for a short time i think you forgot Rose. He cared for her too. It broke him when he had to kill her to ease her pain, he cried when he staked her and he was the only one who was with her in her dream Damon made her saw sitting in her favourite place in her last moments. Even if it's for a short time she includes too.

@a mofo no, they're right, that's part of Damon as a character: not showing his real feelings but he sacrificed many times for all of them, which means he DOES care he just shows it through actions and not words. He died to save Sheriff Forbes, Tyler, Stefan and others on season 5. He brought Bonnie back countless times. He daggered himself for Stefan on s7 and chose to sacrifice himself for Stefan and Elena and was willing to give Cade his soul. He was willing to die for Stefan on the last episode. He blamed himself for Stefan's actions when they were kids and his father abused him for that. He can be selfish sometimes but he is not a selfish person.
Okay, now Alaric made me cry. Like when in season 3 they wanted to bid farewell to the ones they lost, that scene. In that scene, damon goes to Alaric's grave and drinks and talks with him, right? That reminded of this scene😭

Bonnie never was his lover in the books either. Bamon was never a couple in books they just were like Damon and Rose. Damon always loved Elena and they are endgame in the books too.

STEPHEN is the most person DAMON cares about. They may have their ups and downs but they are still always together, fighting for each other. REBECCA once said “The Salvatores may fight like Dogs but in the end they would die for each other”. DAMON has true love and feelings for ELENA. He would do anything to keep her alive and safe, always trying his best to keep her out of danger. ELENA also once said “My Boyfriend who would never put anyone’s life before hers including his own”. STEPHEN & ELENA are the most million people DAMON really cares about the most.
@@olganicole8021 yeah, they did ruin Alaric and Damon relationship. Honestly I hated how Damon was portrayed in the last season cause it kinda made it like he didn’t deserve his happiness in the end. They took away his growth and his respect for the ones he cared about besides Elena. I didn’t like how they made it seem like he was only good because of her because that isn’t true

I'm so glad they put Liz Forbes on that list, because Damon genuinely cared for that. At first, it was about getting them off their backs, and stopping the vampire search, but it quickly turned into a friendship I really admire.
He was ready to even give up Elena for his brother. He was ready to die in the last episode even when he knew that he won't be around Elena when she wakes up so that his brother could lead a happy human life. So yeah at the end it was his brother that he love more than anyone else.

the list is half-right half-wrong tbh, first of all both stef and elena should be first, don't attack me, i'm a delena fan but i'm just saying that on show's perspective, in the end he chose both of them, but in 6×22, stef said "i think in the end i needed him more than i needed her", not dis-respectful for the ultimate brother-bond, it's what important, but if u think about what i said, everyone would accept why it had to be both on the 1st place

En effet cette série n'a été diffusée qu'en début 2023. Les acteurs jouent bien, l'ambigüité est entretenue. Bravo. J'ai hâte de connaître les derniers épisodes de la saison 8.
