I eat at least one food from each of these food groups but my vision doesn’t improve and I still can’t read small text without glasses - there again I am 55 so guessing no matter who you eat , the body will still deteriorate sooner or later .
A few facts : 1. Nearly 70% folks have the BCMOx genetic mutations that inhibit conversion of beta carotene to retinal/retinol which is the active form of vit A Hence, relying on beta carotene in vegetables or having supp of beta carotene are generally useless. Provit A & retinol are found in active forms in animal Liver and egg yolks, which are a far better source. Even if you have a supp. It must have retinol / retinoids along with the therapwutic caretenoids such as leutin, astaxanthin, zeaxanthin for instance. Having vit A in gel / oil form is useless if you do not have healthy bile flow & lipase output. In such case have Dry vit A as Retinol + Caretenoids. 2. Vit E - having nuts & Seeds does Not give you bioavbl vit E due to high presence of phytates and inhibitors of synergestic factors like selenium. Do Not have the synthetic Dl-alpha-tocopherol note the "Dl". The best vit E in supp form is Mixed tocopherols or Mixed tocotrienols with alpha, delta, gamma & beta variants. Tip : If you have issues with bile flow or have gall bladder removed do Not have the oily gel cap version of vit E, instead have the Dry form of vit E. 3. Vit C - Do Not have fruit juices like orange juices without the fiber - they are going to give you fructose overdose ! Always have citrus fruits as a whole with fiber. Tip : Real vit C is Not just ascorbic acid , it's ascorbic acid + Range of Bioflavonoids like rutin, quercetin, hesperidin, diosmin, PAC's, anthocyanins + transporter enzyme complex + Trace bioavbl Copper ! Tip : The magic of vit C is Not in ascorbic acid but it's bioflavonouds , so always have a supp vit C that combines ascorbates with Bioflavonoids. 4. Vit B12 - vit B12 by itself is useless, boz you need the active form of vit B6 - P5P to absorb & utilize B12. Not just b12, but most B vitamins are critical for nerve health incl b1, b3, b5, b6, folate, b12....so have it in an active B complex form and never have b12 in isolation. Cynacobalamin is toxic. Methylcobalamin is generally the best. Tip : Myleination of nerve fibers required not only b12, but also b6, and copper ! 5. Omega 3s - Many people havw mega doses of omega3s without realizing that balance is all omegas is the key to healthy membranes & lipid metabolism. Contrary to popular belief , most labs show that such people are also deficient in Omega 6, Omega7, Omega 9 for instance. Tip : Dump omega 3 & instead have omega complex with has 3-6-7-9 in right ratios instead! 6. General eye Health: You also need trace minerals like Zinc (required to transport vit A to/from liver), Taurine (functions as antioxidant to counter macular degeneration), manganese (required to support caretenouds), and Collagen (significant part of the eye is collagen). 7. The vitamin K found in green vegetables is K1. For supporting blood vessels you need k2 mk4, k2 mk5, k2mk7. Good luck!
Start taking Vitamin A, Zinc, Lutein, C, D3, K2, Asanxanthen with Beet Root for strengthen blood vessels / arteries for 1 month then test the results. By then you get a better picture to maintain your eyesight and health.
