Patrick actually made spongebob very relatable for me because at the time I had friends who lowered my self esteem to even have scuicidal thoughts. Another character that I would've thought about on the list is Mr. Krabs he is so greedy and treats Spongebob like garbage.

Ronaldo is now an allegory for that subset of the Steven Universe fandom, the people that harass people and send death threats and drag the names of the rest of the fandom who don't do those things through the mud.

Angelica is truly a product of her parents, a spineless Dad who lets her do whatever she wants and a business mogul Mom who's never around. The fact that Drew spoils her is brought up from time to time but it always reverts to the status quo instantly.

As someone who grew up with Rugrats and took a lot of life lessons from it (because my parents had no idea what they were doing themselves) I can say I actually appreciate the character of Angelica. Alright hear me out. She's annoying, she's mean, and we all disliked her for the things she got up to with the babies. Why is that appreciated? Because they did it in a way that even a dumb kid like me could understand that everything she did was wrong. Rather than a parent saying "No, don't do that," and using logic, it showed kids how to feel about those things with emotion, something more easily understood by little kids. I feel that's what led to me growing up into a decent human being.

Why do the Steven Universe fans hate Ronaldo? He's basically every SU fan because he looks to far into things and pushes his annoying opinions. Edit I was kind of mad when I wrote this, sorry to anyone offended.

Minions are way too overrated

Basically, modern Patrick is modern Peter Griffin all over again.

One thing I'll say about Angelica from Rugrats, she got more bearable in the sequel/spin-off All Grown Up. At least she wasn't able to take advantage of the other kids as often. She just seemed a bit more like a dynsfunctional pre-teen (younger teen in later episodes). I might be remembering wrong, but I think there were even a couple of episodes where you actually got to SYMPATHIZE with Angelica.

I'd just like to say that those Tic Tacs are awful. I've tried them. Dear lord they are bad even for artificial banana.

One of my favourite childhood shows is Horrid Henry. It's honestly a really good cartoon; the animation has gotten much better over time (it still isn't perfect to this day, but it isn't as bad as it was in the older episodes), and it does have its fair share of funny moments. But personally, what ruined it for me was Peter. He is, by far, one of the most annoying cartoon characters to me, and I don't see anyone else talking about it. He's literally the main reason why Henry's life is a living nightmare. He frequently gets Henry into trouble, and blames him for things, even if it wasn't Henry's fault. This is especially true in the newer episodes. By God, one of the moments that frustrates me the most is when in one of the newer episodes, Henry had to do his chores before he could have his comic back. He said something to Peter (I can't remember what it was, but bear in mind that it wasn't even anything mean); Peter began to scream and cry over-dramatically, and once Henry left the room, he immediately shut his mouth and resumed talking to their parents. Not only that, but in a couple of the newer episodes, he's blackmailed Henry, and has had literally everyone blame him for something that wasn't even his fault. I'm not sure if other people would agree, but Peter is honestly one of the most annoying fictional characters out there.

Correction: Diamond Tiara and Silver got redeemed in season 5

I remember watching Rugrats as a kid and my grandma absolutely hated Angelica and complained every time she was on xD

I recently realized that I can divide Steven Universe characters into 3 groups: the ones I like, the ones who don't have enough of a role for me to form an opinion, and Ronaldo.

Jerry being put into that virtual reality reminds me of that episode of Invader Zim when Zim puts Dib through a virtual reality where everything he could have ever wanted comes true; he defeats the irken race, becomes famous, and for once isn't seen as an embarrassment to his father and a crazy kid, only to find out it was all fake. All to figure out if he was the one who through a muffin at Zim.

I actually liked Magic Man due to the sheer absurdity of his antics. But I like Normal Man more so far. :3

Don't forget Mertle Edmonds from "Lilo and Stitch". (The girl with the red hair and glasses that always picks on Lilo for being herself.) I felt really bad for Lilo every time Mertle would bring Lilo down because the way the bullying was shown was exactly like when I was being bullied in school. (Which lasted from Kindergarten-9th grade.) And Mertle's inexcusable bullying towards Lilo and her abhorrent behaviour, despite coming from a well-to-do family, makes Angelica look like the Little Debbie girl on the little cake boxes.

Fun fact: In the Dutch dub of MLP, Diamond Tiara is dubbed by Christa Lips, the Dutch voice of Ash Ketchum. And since Dutch Ash has the highest voice out of all dubs, you can actually hear his voice in her singing of 'The Pony I Want To Be' and it's really beautiful. 💖

I'm a fan of adventure time and I somewhat agree about magic man. At first he seemed like a stupid, meaningless character, but then they gave him an actual story. And now he's one of my favorite characters! (Note: this is just my opinion)

I remember when I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the Minions for the first time. Nowadays, I still respect them, but I now look to Gru and the rest of the cast to carry the movie.

Gotta admit, I love Angelica . She's so mean in every way that it actually makes her a fun villain for the babies to deal with (at least the way I always saw her) plus quite often getting karma at the end was a treat.

One I always thought that bothered me was Sarah from Ed, Edd & Eddy. I always found her worse than Angelica, to the point that they might as well be twins.

I can honestly say Angelica is a good representation of what it is like growing up with a slightly older sibling/ family member. My sister was only 14 months older than me. She had me believing that if I poked my belly button too hard my insides would fall out. I believed this for years.

Honestly I sympathize a lot with Jerry because a lot of his insecurity isn't his fault with people like Rick and Beth who all they do is put him down even when he genuinely tries to be a good person. Even Morty after Jerry did the right after he revealed that Pluto was dying only got put down if indirectly by him. It's not hard to see why he is selfish when everyone treats him like garbage causing him to jump at the chance to finally feel admired and loved.

Well Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are like I don't know 5, 6, 7, 8 (I don't really know I need their help if they will for their ages) so it's no surprise that they would be obnoxious (I'm so sorry). Same for Angelica. And the minions from the Despicable Me franchise were designed to be like that.

hey strider 3 things 1. in a new episode called "mimic madness" from modern spongebob the writers tamed Patrick to try to make him his funny kindhearted self from seasons 1, 2 and 3 2. in the later seasons we learn that diamond tiara is mean cause she is under pure pressure by her mom 3. How do you not like Jerry, Rick and Morty wouldn't really be the same without him.

Jerry did play a purpose in the series though, he is more or less ignorance, he wants his life to be normal but everything around him is changing and developing into what could be considered for someone like him, someone who is so insecure and having a desire to be sheltered, a living hell. With Rick coming into their lives they can't exactly have that, Rick is the polar opposite, his eyes are open to everything around him he knows just about everything going on in the universe, he handles everything much easier because he can see and accept the reality around him but someone like Jerry can't. He's not really likeable no, but imagine if everything you knew was slowly turning to hell around you, and you didn't know what to do, that would be a scary situation for a 'normal person'. He represents one of two people in our world, a person who can't handle change in their life very well where as Rick represents those who understand that change happens no matter what, and there is nothing that we can do about it except accept it. Sorry for the rambling I just figured that this would give a better look into their personalities. Don't mind me.

Well... there was an entire episode that stated that Ronaldo has a direct connection to a gem where we actually see a past relationship between him and Lars. So, it could be possible that they're going to come back to that in a later episode (seeing as season 6 has been announced)

When Ronaldo said “Maybe you’re not a crystal gem.” I lost my shizz. It got me so pissed that I actually looked up a video where the crystal gems kick the shizz out them.

Honestly, I never found Ronaldo all that bad. He's a terrible person, and "Rocknaldo" was a terrible episode, but his other appearances are decent, and he's also hilariously incompetent and one of the funnier characters on the show. (Please don't hate on me for this, it's just an unpopular opinion.)

The reason Jerry seems stupid and unlikable is because that's how the majority of people experience life, while Rick is a metaphor nihilism, it's a contrast between the true sadness and nihilism that is rock or to live ignorantly and happily, and let's face it, most of us do in fact act like him much of the time, his ignorance is exaggerated for effect and rick the same, it's just metaphors and exaggeration, Jerry is unlikable on purpose, like garbador and trubbish
