Safari driver here! You definitely want to go first thing in the morning or at dusk if you want to see the lions. They are way more active at those times
Makes perfect sense! People who watch these videos are likely to be interested theme parks--Disney probably has their business already, if they can afford it, but Universal wants some of that.
Having a friend that works in the maintenance department of Disneyland, I've heard the teacup wheels change, as they wear down inside they become easier to turn, eventually components have to be replaced starting them back at the default, so while some teacups will turn easier than others, it's going to vary on which ones are at the end of their cycle vs the ones that have fresh stiff components
your videos are always so beautifully made this needs to be a tv show fr I love your channel so much I look forward to getting that notif every time you post❤❤ I love the positive vibes
Hi! FROM JAPAN! In Tokyo Disney Land tea cup, only one cup has fastest spin cup! I tried more than 20 times at that attraction and one cup could make fastest. The other cup was about 30~40 times in 90sec. But only one cup could round 47 times in 90sec. But make 47 times is not so easy to spin. I have to know spin feature and add power periodic. If I miss the adding power, the cup makes break and get slower.
JI- kawa That is interesting! And you must have a strong stomach to go on that ride 20 times! I haven’t been on since I was a kid. Tokyo Disneyland looks beautiful, I love watching the rides on RU-vid from there!
Regarding Cinderella's Horse: The first time I heard her horse was on the carousel and in the second ring was from a cast member, who pointed it out to me and my party along with the horse on the outermost ring identifying that as Prince Charming's Steed I asked why Cinderella's wouldn't be more prominent and the CM explained it's because her prince always rode on the outside to protect her (akin to a gentleman walking on the street side of the sidewalk) This was between 10 and 20 years ago, but the explanation made alot of sense
I thought the differences of the stretching rooms in the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland were pretty interesting as well as the inspiration for Main Street 😁
As a former cast member of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom I wanted to state that the rumor surrounding Cinderella's horse was "circling " long before 2000. In fact, interestingly enough, I promise you that same horse once rode on the outter circle. I'm sure she/ he got relocated during one of the carousel's refurbishments. It's interesting to note that one of the many movie scenes that surround the stationary portion of the ride features Anastasia and Drizella. Their dresses were painted the wrong colors. This was many years ago, so perhaps not the case any longer. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
Having been on both Haunted Mansions, I can feel a difference in the stretching rooms. In Disneyland, I feel like I'm going down, where as in Florida, there is no movement at all.
Having worked at Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel, we were taught that the gold ribbon horse is indeed Cinderella’s horse and that the horse on the outside row is Prince Charming’s horse to protect her. That was their explanation for why Cinderella’s horse is in the 2nd row
There was a rumor at least back in the 90s that Walt's cryogenically frozen body was locked away in the upper levels of the castle which was why nothing was ever built up there
If you haven’t gone to Disneyworld you should definitely go! 😀 I like to save up to stay there for 2 weeks because I don’t live in the US and there’s so much to do there :(
I've done my research about the Safari, and I have some fact. In order to get the animals out for guests, they have hidden features, such as food dispensers in rocks and heater/cooled rocks for the loins. It may be better to go in the morning if the animals you want to see are not nocturnal, and may want some more food. I found it interesting about this.
Loved the video, as always! 😃 So, since the busts of Melvin, Buff and Max in the Winnie the Pooh ride are not the original animatronics, any idea where those ended up? Were they recycled somewhere else? Keep up the good work! 😃
I haven't been to Disney World in over 15 years, and I came across these videos in my recommended feed. ( I was on a top 10 list binge) Out of curiosity I watched to see what has changed after all this time, and I've got to say, these videos make me want to go back. These videos are so entertaining as well as educational. Kudos to all your hard work.
In Disney World my cousin said that there was once a petting zoo under the attraction Mount Everest in Animal Kingdom and Disney cast members confirmed that was not true.
I can vouch for the fact that the teacups did spin at different speeds a long time ago. I visited Disneyland dozens of times growing up, and there were times I’d go on the Mad Tea Party several times in a row. Some of the teacups were nearly impossible to spin while others spun much more freely. I don’t remember specifics of which were slow or fast, but there were definite differences between cups.
The teacups myth reminded me of a story my grandpa would tell us, that when he was a teen he and his friends would go to Disneyland, load up on ice cream, then immediately ride on the tea cups, and then go throw up -- over and over again. One of his weirder stories, but definitely a classic (though his advice nowdays is to NOT do it -- at least, not repeatedly).
A common myth that I’d love to see a video on is about the horseless carriage in front of the haunted mansion. It’s commonly accepted that it belonged to the late Latter Day Saint Prophet Brigham Young. I’m a former Disneyland Cast Member and a practicing Latter Day Saint. It’s a great and fun myth, but it unfortunately isn’t true!
I love the giraffe just standing there in front of the buss being like “what?”. I had a bunch of zebras do that when I went there and it was adorable. They are just chilling and could not give too poops about your schedule
Former Magic Kingdom cm here! The story the Fantasyland cast sticks to in regards to Cinderella’s horse is that the A row horses are the horses belonging to knights, thus the armor and weaponry motifs adorning them. The horse on Cinderella’s right actually belongs to her prince, which is protecting her.
Looking at the clip of the old Sleeping Beauty castle gave me extra respect for the incredibly vibrant new paint job it received to prepare for Galaxys Edge (less than a week until I will get to visit Galaxy’s Edge or Batuu or Star Wars Land😁😁😁)... Love your vids too
i remember i used to go around telling people that the Haunted Mansion in Florida used to be a Church but then Disney bought the land and turned it into an attraction. there was no source i got this from or proof, i just decided thats what had happened haha
Though now that you've got me thinking about it, a carousel with all of Disney's animated horses from the movies would be really cool. Especially if they included villain horses and other horse-sized animal companions, like Jasmine's tiger Rajah and Sven the reindeer. Unfortunately this would probably cause a lot of fights to break out over who gets to ride their favorite, but it's still a really neat idea to me
Well, not only does Disney World's Haunted Mansion have the ceiling stretch upwards due to greater proximity from the Magic Kingdom's railroad for both the facade and show building, but also because Florida is just barely above sea level, which makes it impossible to build underground.
I love watching all your videos! I love learning all these new facts about the parks and Disney that I might not have known. Have you by chance seen The imagineering story on Disney+? They talk about how when they were building animal kingdom they strategically placed air-conditioning's in for the animals so you can see them at anytime of the day.
Hi. Ive been watching your videos for a while and I really love them. I am a big big big fan of Disney, so thank you so much for every video you make about Disney. You are also my go to channel for a Disney marathon, thank you so much again!
I agree tho because basically that’s what I’ve been telling some people but wouldn’t believe me but there is footage to the mile long bar one form Disneyland and yes they move too and yes. buff is hairy in the MLB and in the main attraction the buff there just has curls. And the static one is basically the one you see in the Winnie the Pooh ride( which is the attraction buff)
Disney has always made me feel like me and my family are warped in the parks. I just turned 13 years old, so thank you for making this the greatest birthday ever.
I’m a former Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel/Prince Charming Regal Carrousel Operator and Trainer (I worked in Fantasyland at WDW from 2000-2020). This is one of the first attractions I learned, and Cinderella’s House had been well established before I worked there, and I worked with a Disney Legend who worked in Fantasyland starting in 1971. The original carrousel was built in 1917/18 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, and was named Liberty, PTC #46. It was installed in Detroit’s Palace Garden Park from 1918 til 1928. Then moved to Olympic Park in Maplewood, New Jersey from 1929 til 1965 when the park closed. It had 4 chariots 2 Roman Chariots and 2 sleigh Chariots. The very ornate horses in rows A, B or C, adorned with flowers, pulled the Roman Chariots. Cinderella’s house is very ornate and adorned with many flowers and is an original 1917/18 PTC wooden horse. What sets it apart from all the other horses is the gold ribbon on it’s tail. From our operational and safety prospective, it is perfectly placed in row B. If it was placed in the outside row A, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, and Lady Tremaine, etc., would have to sit side-saddle with their BACKS to the Guests. Fortunately, ladies may sit side-saddle in row B (Cinderella’s House) and face the Guests. Is it a myth... perhaps, but it has been embraced by Fantasyland, Guest Relations, and the Cast Members who work at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Any child (and grown-ups too) who request the horse, are cheerfully escorted to that horse, and the looks on their faces, makes us Cast Members proud to work for such a great company, which goes out of its way to make people happy. So in my, and many other Cast Member’s opinion, it IS Cinderella’s Horse.
Last summer when I went to the haunted mansion in magic kindom someone in my family said that we where actully getting lowered but I said if you look at the top of the mansion and guess where that room is you will see a tube that looks in the shape of the rooms roof and that the roof can possibly be stretching up there! And i was right!
Hi I love your videos and I have a couple of reccomendations: • Could you talk about some theme parks in England (thorpe park, alton towers) •Also could you do a video on the best restaurants to visit at Disney world/Disney land Thank you so much for your amazing videos x
Hi! It’s one of your subscibers, I just wanted to say thank you for making such amazing and entertaining videos! These videos have actually helped me through rough times and I just wanted to pay my respects. Heck, It’s helping me right now.
Thank you for making these videos. It brings back memories of my husband and our honeymoon in 1996. It's the perfect way to go on a virtual Disney vacation.
Hey im back because i havent been watching this channel actively that much but ever sense my last Disney trip i have loved your videos, they always make me smile whenever i watch them and i love hearing new Disney facts, so thank you TPMvids, you are pretty fantastic or... “Fantasmic”
6:25 - I was watching a video that showed interviews with cast members claiming the ones in the Pooh ride are the real animatronics. I don’t know the authenticity of the interview, but this is just what I watched earlier. Hope this is useful information!!
The ones on the WTP ride look a lot smaller and more like the busts from the bar than the animatronics. I watched the video you're on about too but I'm still not entirely convinced that they're the animatronics, the woman in that video just seemed a little salty lol
dude I love your videos!! I've been watching them for the past two weeks to prepare for a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure a couple days ago. I learned alot from ur vids and my family seemed to enjoy the facts I learned from them. keep up the great work!
seeing more animals in the morning or at dusk makes some sense- if i remember right, the animals get called out into the safari in the morning and have food and other things to entice them to be in view. so if you get there before any of the animals have eaten or just after, you could probably find them all chillin in the "in view" areas. at night/dusk the animals are being called back into their holds/sleeping quarters via diffrent instruments (its like the gazel are trained to return to a cow bell or something) so you would see more animals since they get called one animal group at a time. no more hiding if its time to go back home, you know? even then animals are animals. if the lion is having a good time on his heated rock he probably won't move right away and if someone is asleep and just doesn't hear the instrument theres nothing you can do.
Love your videos. Although I do have to say you are half right about the stretching room at Disneyland. The room does go down but at one point the ceiling rises up also
Here is a suggestion, Tpm why dont you do a QnA for us the fans can get to know you better as a person. That would be awesome if you did. Love your video keep up the good work.
My thoughts and observations on Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom is. I have seen A lot of Animals on the Safari. And My thoughts of the safari Ride is I enjoy it Greatly. Its a good great Ride as A Result Ive seen A lot of Rides as A Result.
I tell people that it’s a small world was filled with children’s tears originally. But Michael Eisner switched to regular water as a cost cutting measure.
is it weird to say that I kinda feel like we are friends? I’ve never ever seen someone as passionate and loves Disney as much as me and that would be you! All my friends think I’m weird and spoilt for loving and going to Disney all the time but I don’t care what they say because they just haven’t experienced that happiest place on earth. Your my favorite RU-vidr😇 and you are an extremeeeeeee lifesaver for quarantine! :D
I love these disney videos so much!!!! whenever i watch you, i’m like “ dang, the energy he puts in these videos is just amazing!” keep up the great work!!
So, I don't know if the thing about the Melvin, Max, and Buff figures not being animatronics is true. There's actually video of the busts in the Mile Long Bar moving!
