I don’t know when Atlanta can get out of Cousins contract but the way I look at it is they want to compete and they don’t plan on picking low enough in the next few years to draft a QB

I’ll never understand drafting twiners in the first round. They never fill out neither the edge or the interior role in a good way. Feels like trying to fill out 2 positions with one pick but filling out NONE!

Yes we signed the best QB in free agency but we go back to his last season, he was injured most of the season with a career ending injury. Then we thought we had a good QB didn't turn out that way and no back up. Draft a project and the best project let him sit for 2 years

The only team that drafted “bad” is Atlanta but they also got a decent QB so like ok I guess.

As a niner fan, the pick definitely threw me off initially. Watching his tape, pearsall looks pretty good tho, seeing cj stroud reacting the way he did to us taking pearsall makes me feel better about it, esp seeing how tank dell panned out this past season

I really doubt Kirk sees himself as a loser in this deal. He’s laughing himself all the way to the bank. He says go ahead and draft my replacement I’ll happily collect 100 million sitting on the bench or go ahead and release me some team out there will need me.

Raiders got the best TE in the draft hands down. He's a Swiss Army knife who seems part Darren Waller, part Ed McCaffrey. He's a great blocker (which helps the O-line situation) and an athletic freak that will allow them to control the middle of the field and absolutely force defenses to account for him. No, not a need, but the best player on the board for an offense that vastly underperformed last year. Trading up for Penix would have made also meant trading up to get a Fuaga to anchor the right side (blind side for a lefty QB). We might have basically traded all of our picks for 2 guys.

Atlanta didn't need a QB. They had bigger needs.

Titans loser for taking a consensus top 10 OT at 7. He was ranked as 7-8 all over the board. The Titans didn’t have a starting OT on the roster and have Dhop, Ridley and Burks. Taking Rome who is another contested catch Wr IE Dhop/Burks over a starting OT s insanity. Drafting BPA has its limitations. Secondly Bill Callahan the best OL coach in the nfl said Latham was his OT1.

49ers have to be one of the biggest losers. Massive reach, over better players at the same position, at a position that wasn’t close to being one of their biggest needs.

Falcons and Commies are my only real losers. I think they objectively fcked up completely. Jayden Daniels is not a top 10 player and not a top 2 QB in this class and Penix is not a top 20 player and it makes literally no sense to draft a 24 year old to sit for 4 years. McCarthy would have made more sense purely from that aspect

panthers stupid moving up 1 pick for a wr...a team with so many holes it will take years to plug them and they move up 1 spot for a wr in the richest wr class in a long long time...just dumb. commanders but stupid in a way you didnt mention...I think JD was the 2nd best qb in the draft but he is not worth 3 1st round picks and some lower round picks on top...this is a team with a bottom 5 Oline on their 3rd OC in 3 years...this team is not ready for a rookie esp one that eats sacks for a living. best move was trade back and get a penix or JJ AND a blue chip OT. NE is even more stupid than washington because they have an even worse Oline and the cherry on top is they have the worst WR room in the league by a mile...so they draft the least consistent of the top 6 qbs...a guy who bails out of even clean pockets...this is a qb that needs to sit for a couple years then maybe you have something there...they also needed to trade back and find some way to fix their garbage tier WRs and Oline....100% not ready for a young qb... teams acting like you gotta take a qb in the top 5 to get a good qb...most of the top 10 qbs in the league historically were picked like 6-15....it is just stupid to get a rookie qb when your oline or weapons are garbage tier...stop ruining talent by giving them no help.

Penix has a higher ceiling than cousins. Cousins is solid but you gottta try to have a star at QB, gotta take some risks for the opportunity. If their evaluation said that penix has superstar potential, they couldn’t let the opportunity slip
