📣 IMPORTANT: As shared in the video, Generative Fill's resolution remains at 1024px - I just confirmed with my friend at Adobe, Meredith Payne Stotzner (Product Manager of Photoshop). A lot of users had the impression that Generative Fill has increased its resolution from 1024px to 2000px. However, that is not the case at the moment of writing this comment.
I feel like Generative Fill has been downgraded? I have been using it for small areas, 500x500px areas or less, and I can't remember it being as low resolution. It's really blurred and I think it's worse than it was. Anyone else?
Hi Unmesh, As you mentioned JACK SPARROW version, what about being banned from Gen fill without any reason only using jack sparrow version? Is there a workaround?
Thank you, sir! You did it again: you explain new features in a timely way, and simply and easily. And with enthusiasm, which is hard to find these days. Thanks again, Unmesh.
Thanks you're always the best content when it comes to photoshop by far! That chromatic effect, I remember years ago trying to make it for an album cover.. I thought I'd be done in seconds, took me over an hour to figure it out on my own properly..
Great video! I'm kinda irked that they are charging credits for the Generative Fill feature when they still have the 1024px cap on the results. I shoot in medium format and my 100MP pics are too high-res for that feature to be useful. There's a trick to get around it by only doing fill 1024px at a time, but with tokens, I'll burn through all of them with only a few photos! Love this feature...just wish I could use it! :(
an easy action would've been: duplicate layer twice. for one of the copy, deactivate channels green and blue. for the other copy, deactivate green and red channels. move one layer to the right a little and the other layer to the left :)
@@loiklangloisleclercthat glitch effect is way more complex though. It certainly would be possible to make an action that replicates most of it, but it's not just a couple of operations.
Just be aware that parametric filters, even set to Ultra, have a limited resolution (as far as I know 4096x4096px) and then get upsampled to the resolution of the actual image.
Topic Request: As you may already know, anyone who has Stable Diffusion running on their own PC (with a decent GPU card) has the option of using a plug-in (Automatic 1111 etc.) to connect to Photoshop 2023 or later. However, as usual, the user manual if you can find it is very hard to follow, even if you are very familiar with the Stable Diffusion program itself. Would you consider making a video showing how to use it? And as always your tutorials are the clearest and most useful. Thank you!
So if Adobe is going to effectively charge for using AI space tools, where is their incentive to improve the tools so someone doesn't have to burn through credits to get what they are after?
Adobe is not in the creative business anymore, its in the banking business, credits and creativity should not put together by a world leading used to be creative corporation.
One thing I have found when using any of the AI generative features is that Metadata is beinf stripped from the resulting file, no exif data at all. I sure hope this changes!!
Thank you very much. You are doing a great thing teaching us various tasks, updates, tips and tricks. Thats awsome. Much love. i downloaded your actions. Man thank you
I really want to update to the current version of Photoshop but every time I update I lose all of my brushes and extensions.....do you have a video that addresses that issue? I'm still running 2022 and 2021 :( I LOVE your videos, they are so informative and easy to follow! I really want to be able to use all the newest features but I'm too afraid to lose my tools!
Just my observation of PS 2024, i can convert a shape into customized frame by right clicking its layer. Then putting a name of it in the pop up. But adobe forgot to make its own panel window for all customized and saved frames. The X marker do not corresponds to the shape of my customized frame. It's still in square. It always put the image into frame that currently i'm holding even i don't had the intention to put it.
The parametric filters and generative AI stuff are okay I guess, but the fact that the contextual taskbar now stays in place after you restart Photoshop is just 🤯🤯🤯!!!
I wish there was settings for this bar to turn on or off the features of Contextual Task Bar. Plus it hogs up desk space. All you can do is Hide or unhide or pin it somewhere. Also I wish I could turn off the big blue share button in the top right.
I wish they would let us download the model and run the generative fill locally to avoid credits altogether. I wouldn't even mind a kernal level anti piracy thing just for the option.
why machine is doing the removing image is faster?... which computer are you using? .. even i am using Macbook pro m1 Max .. but it is taking more time then you.. ? is there any setting to turn on to getting faster result in photoshop?
Thanks for the good videos to teach Photoshop features. But please remember that most followers try learning it from your videos. Sometimes, it is better to slow down and explain simply. All Photoshop teachers are running in their videos and trying to show how they do fast all, but most of them are not understandable.
I got rlly sad when I heard there would be credits for the generative AI - that sadness went away when you said itll be unlimited use with/without credits
why does the move tool (v) act different now? It shows a blue (like transform) border around anything I click on... also, I'm pretty sure in the past, if I moved something and then imported another image, it would appear on top of the layer that was last active (even if it's not selected)... now it automatically goes on top of the layer stack. This feels so unnatural... should I just gitgood or are there some settings I can mess with?
Unfortunately I get a “You must be registered for a full conference pass in order to schedule in-person sessions or labs. Preconference courses require an additional purchase. Register or upgrade here. “ when trying to register for your class. Sadness.
I've been using Photoshop a long time but I can barely keep up with all the new stuff, so thanks for this video! Adobe applying credits to generative fill is a rip off. They don't get enough money from me already? Oh, it only "slows down" when I run out of credits? Hm, I have a deadline...has to be done by the end of the day and I'm waiting for generative fill to do its thing? I'm forced to buy credits to get the job done asap. No sir, this is not acceptable.
I've literally just uninstalled Photoshop Beta because the generative fill finally came out of it, but now I guess I have to download it again to mess with these cool filters. 😂
When I uninstalled beta and upgraded to PS 25.0, LR didn't recognize I had PS, as I wanted to change something in the preferences. I had to reinstall beta for LR to even recognize I had the 25.0 version. And, LR still won't open files into PS for me! I'm a little afraid to uninstall and install LR, after the PS debacle😁. I may have to anyway, if the newest LR update doesn't fix that bug. Thankfully, ACR works very well for me in the mean time!
Hey so im new to Adobe, so i still figuring out the "Systems" of it all I noticed with you and many others y'all have like 4 or 5 copies of each app installed of older versions and even the most up to date and a few others even have the Beta ones installed Is there a reason to have 5 to 8 different photoshops installed at the same time or are you all doing this becuase you use them to create content and its not related to none youtube related things? Normally i asking for a friend 🤣, but i do wonder if there is an advantage if i install older versions or not
You are gonna pay for using a feature of a software you are already paying for. Whatever Captain Sparrow were thinking, he is right even more right than ever before and he's becoming ethical correct.
From what I've been seeing I'm pretty impressed with generative fill in general. However, it seems like Adobe (and pretty much every AI generator I've tried) does a terrible job with hands. Do you have any tips for fixing hands created with generative fill or how to get it to generate realistic hands?
I do rectangle sale tickets for my shop, is there an easy way to fill a sheet, say A3, with the tickets that fit about 18 on the A3 sheet, at the moment I manually drag and snap to each other, I don't want gaps between the tickets? Been searching everywhere for a distribute evenly without gaps with no luck. Any ideas? Thank you
Have you ever experienced some black/pixelation results when using the remove tool? No matter what I do (background layer, isolated layer) it displays black and grey crunchy results every time…
I don´t share your enthusiasm about parametric filters for many reasons. But one major problem is their limited resolution. Even set to "Ultra" their resolution is 4096x4096 px. Then they are upsampled to the image resolution.
4:20 this is like my dream come true! But it uses closed base of 40.000 tracks. I need something like this that uses whole tracks like shazam or something.
Can you advise what the little box in the lower righthand corner of layer masks is? It appeared in the latest update and I can't figure out what it is for or does. Any guidance would be appreciated!
