Love the Shadow Phantom. I wish Honda takes it to Europe before Chinese cruisers infect our market. If they price it around 8.000€ it would be a winner. I would buy one of those immediately.
Not too thrilled with Honda's current street bike offerings. The Shadow and the Fury both need to die. Who ever decided it's ok to have an air filter housing jabbing into your right leg? I can't believe Honda chose to keep models like these alive while discarding the ST, CB1100, and the first generation Valkyrie. As much as I like the Gold Wing, I just cannot get past it's scooter-like appearance. Their current street bike line up, that includes the Rebel (in various displacements), is just too industrial looking and I'm so done with the crappy flat paint finishes. Twin cylinder engines with 'automatic' transmissions seem to be leading the charge at Honda these days. Two things I am definitely NOT attracted to. C'mon Honda, you're so much better than this! (Or at least you used to be...)
If it doesn't have an inline-4 engine... I'll pass. I love the sound that an inline-4 engine makes running a 4 into 1 pipe. Just my personal preference. I do believe the CB650 is an inline four?
I was just about to say that, along with the part about "a muscular v-twin engine". I suppose that if you consider Snoop Dogg to be muscular, you might say that. I haven't owned a bike that weak since my first motorcycle, decades ago. This entire video is just a lame sales pitch straight out of Honda brochures.
As the owner of a new 2023 Goldwing I can only say I prefer and ride my 2005 Goldwing more than the new one. The 2005 is way more comfortable and provides much better protection from the wind and rain than the 2023.
I could buy a Hornet if it had a KLM style skinny windshield Also, I love the Shadow engine but it doesn’t have that Silverwing body thing that I was really stoked about in the 80s. It was a tourer with less baloney. The Shadow engine Can Do It. As a Goldwing rider at 78 I am looking at a lighter daily ride that doesn’t require 24 year old legs.
I like the 2024 Shadow Aero 👍 But there’s nothing new for the US in 2024. No SLC300, no CB350 H’ness, no Transalp 250, no ADV350; nada. And the MSRP price of the 2024 XR150 has gone up past the $3,000 mark. Prices went up, but specs remain the same.
Honda's announcement sounds wonderful but the motorcycle dealers in my area (Montana) tell me that they cannot get product. What's actually going on Honda.
