Great video, thanks for digging out the video clips. I remembered how much you liked that MAN (2nd position) and its pulling power, I enjoyed the sound of its grunt under load as well. Thought might have made 1st until you sung the joys of the Scania. Always liked the colour scene and livery design of M&M Greene.

Nice to see you reminisce about favourite truck. I totally agree with your top two choices.

I'm well retired now, but I always regarded the Leyland Mercury as the most intelligent cab design and most comfortable. With a 505 engine it had plenty of guts for it's generation. I remember the first MAN's, they were a beast with a column change; not very nice. It was not until the Scania arrived that there was any real consideration for the needs and comfort of the driver.

I had an MAN TGM 18.250 and loved that truck.

Love the format Scott. I'm sorry to say, I'm not a lorry driver (although my younger brother was just before he retired). My nearest semi to drive is a car/caravan combo🤣. What really got me interested, was your hair style. Oh my, long hair Scott🤣

Hi Scott so far the only one I have really enjoyed is the one I am in now, Scania P410 32t tipper ❤ I don't have to share with anyone else, well not often, it does have the clutch saver in it which can be a real pain pulling away loaded, oh and it's a manual gearbox. My boss swears by Scania and he does have a V8 unit too. Passed my class 1 on the 2nd of November, 1 year 11 months after getting my class 2, not decided what to move on to yet though.

Guessed the top three right- never had the opportunity to drive a v8 Scania. I did my class 1 in an ex-stobart 3-pedal auto Scania and I haven’t driven one since, all been DAFs and Mercs but we are getting some Renault tractor units now which I’m keen to try out.

Number three I think of you in this one as just caught RU-vid and you starting.Loved the daffodil,dragon ,Welsh Cymra and silver with green and red.And seeing al things new with you on class one .a.ok xo 😊

Driven a few manufacturers but our fleet is mainly all DAF and a couple of IVECO's . Did have a chance whilst agency to drive an old R450 which was amazing for it's mileage. Also loved an old LF 250 18T with a 6 speed box , Slow and simple so fitted me well .Least favourite were the IVECO's and Renault . never got comfy whatever I did . Thanks for sharing

That fixed post in the middle of the Owens Merc 😂😂 if that were our lorry we would've had that cut out straight away what a pain in the backside that would be, for both driver and forklift drivers

I know just what you mean with the daf lf 210 we have one at work also on tpn Its a 6speed manual and i love it everyone else hates it but its my diddy daf

The extra money you pay for the Scania, you will get back when you come to sell it so they cost the same as any other truck over x amount of years.

I passed my class 1 back in 85 by 2001 I’d had enough which was sad considering all I ever wanted to do was drive a truck, please be assured this is in no way me having a dig at anyone but I had to laugh when you said the rigid Daf was a 240bhp, I drove some really nice equipment in my time but have to say I’ve driven quite a few ERF C series artics with 240 Gardener engines in them and believe me when the boss told you that’s your truck for the day I can’t begin to tell you what would be going through my mind, the stress and pain would be through the roof lol…, anyway Scott I for one enjoyed the video always a pleasure to watch.
